Hi all,
Back from the Lion King. It was awesome. The girls really loved it! The costumes and scenery are really something to see!
Managed not to get lost in town, so that is always an accomplishment!
One comment: row of people in front of us were so RUDE! I swear they thought they were at a baseball game or something. They continuously stood up, moved around, fought over binnoculars, and talked. At one point I had to ask one of the little girls (about 8) to sit down because none of our girls could see. The parents did NOTHING! It was very distracting and irritating. I maintained my calm cool composure because I didn't want to be a poor example for my girl scouts but I wanted to scream:
SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I feel better now!
It doesn't look like I've missed much. You are women (and men) of few words today.
No one fell at church today! And I had to go up front twice, too. Once for a birthday blessing and once for communion. Maybe we are turning over a new leaf?
Glad the Lion King was great. We had the same experience at Cirque du Soleil a few years back. The man behind us kept giving a blow by blow description of the whole show. "Martha, look over there. Now he's going to swing that girl around. See? He's swinging her. Isn't this great, Martha? Oh look over there. Now he's going to . . . " Allen finally turned around and politely asked him to be quiet!
