Hi Guys!!

Spent the afternoon at the mall~didn't buy much...just some charms for my bracelet at Kohl's, they were 30% off so I got a few cute ones (hearts & a megaphone & a lipstick one for Megan) & I decided to put together a Christmas one since the Christmas charms were marked down to .36 cents:teeth: I got a sleigh, a tree, a Santa, a stocking & a wreath:D My Christmas bracelet is off to a good start.

Carolyn~Benadryl always knocks me out too:faint:
Have a good night relaxing with your DH w/o the kiddo:D

Gail~Enjoy Jaws.......I remember it scaring the daylights out of me too!!! We saw it in FL while visiting my uncle & then went to the beach the very next day:eek: Needless to say I didn't swim that day!!!

Hi all... long day... did the wedding stuff with Dawn... I decided I' get my make up done for the wedding and Luis likes how I look so I am sure it will be $40 well spent!

LK, come my way and I'll go see ROTK with you!!! I'm happy to see it more than once ;)

Merry, good luck figuring out everything with the cruise! How was the meet?

Lars, I just brought up the meet to Luis and right now we think both of us are free to come :)

Carolyn, I am glad that you are feeling better! Benadryl can really knock me on my feet too!!

OW..........that hurt..............;)

LK, we were in a cat. 10 last cruise and it slept four. If you book early enough, some cat. 10s have a "hidden porthole". In other words you can ask for one of those rooms and if one is available, you get a porthole with an obstructed view for the price of a windowless cabin. We had one last time and it was nice to be able to see out. This year we are splurging and getting a cat. 5. Allen wanted to try out having a veranda. I hear once you've done that there is no going back. :teeth: By the way, our room sleeps 4 after all, so no worries. I sound like I should start to sing songs from the Lion King.

Hey, quit talking about Jaws when your friend is going to the beach in a few weeks. Do you want to scare me to death. By the way, Allen signed us up for a sting ray swim. We get to get in the ocean with the rays and feed them. They say they won't sting you unless you step on them. Yes, and we are talking about the "grace" family here. I'm a little nervous. They say you can even hold them in your arms. Eeek! I know you can shuffle your feet once you get in the water, but you do have to make that first step. Leave it to me to either step on one or lose my balance and fall on it. ::yes::

We had a lovely meet at Abuelos in Bricktown. OkieDisney (we've been friends for several years) from Stillwater was there with her family, YachtDad and his DD was there also from Stillwater, and rascalmom and her family were there too from Edmond. Oh and Amy just got her good friend from school signed up on the boards, so she came with us. I think there were 15 of us and I forgot my camera. :(

We went out to eat with MIL and FIL. I've had enough food today to last me about a week. And they gave me my birthday money early. Don't you just love birthdays? I don't mind getting another year older. It's all in your attitude about life.

Now I know I need to go to Kohls. I think I may make a run there tomorrow. Amy's birthday is April Fools Day and she'd love some new charms for her bracelet! I'm looking for some nice but inexpensive gifts, since I know we will buy her some things on the trip. Thanks for the heads up. By the way, I think we are going to tell them on the cruise she is getting ready to celebrate her big 13th. That way we can pick a day and make a big deal of it one night. Can't we just celebrate a little early? I've heard they sing to you and bring out a cake and if you put a happy birthday sign on your door, the characters come by and sign it. Wouldn't that be fun?

Hi all
Had a great spur of the moment day with some friends of ours. Domenica and I had been planning all week to go play bingo tonight. This morning when I was talking to her, her DH invited Lou to join him at the auto show. So we headed to their house at about 11:30, the guys went to the auto show, the kids watched movies and Domenica and I played Yahtzee and Monopoly for most of the afternoon. We took the kids to McD's playland for dinner. Got back to her house just as the dh's were getting home. We left the kids with them and headed to bingo. We didnt win anything, but it was a nice night out. We dont get a chance to do this as often as we did pre-kids. But our kids are only 2 months apart in age, so we still spend a lot of time together.
Anyway, I did read all the pages, so just pretend I did a full catch up :)
Enjoy the rest of you weekend.

Good Morning,

I am incapable of sleeping in anymore! Once I wake up in the morning, I am never able to go back to sleep!

DD and I are going to see the Lion King today with the girl scouts. There are 20 of us going and it should be alot of fun!

MP: I did the swim with stingrays a couple of years ago. They mostly stay near the bottom of the ocean, although one of the guys in the water picked one up so everyone could pet it. You could feed them shrimp if you wanted to but when they started giving instructions on how to hold the shrimp so they didn't mistake if for your fingers, we said NO thanks! Make sure you take a disposable underwater camera because you can get great fish pictures.

LK: I promise I am not avoiding you. DH said you thought I didn't want to meet you at the basketball game! DS has a really bad cold and I didn't want to drag him out in the snow and cold yesterday! Plus I had to spend most of my day getting ready for my girl scout meeting on Wed. ( I had a bunch of papers to type up and pass out today).

Bethany: sounds like you had great day. Spur of the moment days are sometimes best, aren't they?

 and good morning to all!

Morning! Getting ready to head to church, CCD, and then on to Piratefest again. It sure it easy to get up and ready without the kids here.

Donna, I just think it is so funny that we live minutes apart and I have had an easier time meeting E from Ohio and Lars from MI! I'm crossing my fingers that our lunch on the 18th goes as planned.

MP - you cracked me up when you called yourself the grace family! When we went to Typhoon Lagoon in August, we headed straight for the snorkeling before the lines got too long. I thought the kids would love it. I was wondering why Leah was swimming so fast. I was trying to get her to slow down and enjoy it. Here, the poor girl was scared to death of the fish!

Oh, and I have seen mention of the hidden porthole rooms. I finally got around to ordering a Disney Visa the other day, so as soon as it comes, I think I will book for June '05!

Good Morning!
I know I haven't been around much, trying to keep really really busy, as not to let the winter blahs set in. I keep telling myself just get thru the rest of February and it'll get better.

Bethany, I used to go to Bingo with my mom, the one thing I couldn't stand though was all the smoke!!

MP, Your trip is coming up so fast! Will you be doing any snorkeling? I took a couple underwater cameras with us last year to Punta Cana and got a couple great photos.

Lk, I always took the boys to Pirate Fest when they were little! They Loved it! Looks like I missed something, you guys didn't get to do your lunch this past week??

Donna, Have fun at TLK!

Has anyone tried Quiznos yet? The turkey Sante Fe sub is really yummy!! We went there again yesterday after the gym.

The Honeymoon destination has been changed to 10 days in Cancun. And big brother, Ian, has given them First class round trip tickets! (I believe he had enough miles to do this, he travels a lot for work)

What a wonderully sweet & thoughtful thing for Ian to do!!!:D
He's a great brother!!!!
We went to Quizno's once & I really enjoyed it.

Donna~Enjoy the Lion King~I can't wait to hear all about it!

LK~Have fun at Piratefest! btw it's only been 20 years since the Tigers won ~ maybe Pudge will help us out so it won't be 25???:p  ;) All we've seen in sports new around here lately is his new contract.

Bethany~That sounds like a very nice & relaxing day:D

Sandi, what a nice gift! I bet they are thrilled! And yes, we get to snorkel near the coral reef while we are on the sting ray excursion. I just love seeing all the tropical fish, but they don't have stingers. I'll take an underwater camera or two. David got some great shots with our last one at Castaway Cay. We have 2 Quiznos close by. I love their sandwiches!

LK, did you watch the cruise video? Looks fun, yes? I think DCL should give me shipboard credit for my sales pitch. ;)

Enjoy the Lion King! That's something I'm so anxious to see come to Oklahoma. My mom says it's awesome. She saw it on Broadway. Although it would have to be something to surpass Beauty and the Beast in my eyes.

I'm with Sandi on the Bingo. I love to play, but can't stand the smoke. I'm allergic and I get the most horrible headaches and my eyes swell when I sit in a smokey room. I used to always go when the school had a Bingo night. No smoke there and the prizes were fun, if not high dollar.

I better go get ready for church. I want to look nice when a member of the family falls down!

Hi Lars! :wave2: Didn't see your post until after I had posted. Just didn't want to leave you out without at least a wave.

Good Morning Everyone!

Sandi - we had to cancel our lunch w/ LK and FM last week since I had to reschedule my work days. We are trying again for the 18th if you want to come. I think Brernurse (Sue) will be coming. What a nice thing Ian did.

E - I think DH and I are going to see ROTK on Valentine's Day. I can't wait.

MP - be careful in church! and you have me LOL at how your family might be w/ the stingrays!

FM - enjoy the show today! at least you have nice weather.

Bethany - sounds like you had a nice time at bingo. I'm w/ the other ones who said they hate to be in places w/ smoke. The smoke irrates my contacts and feels like I have glass in my eyes.

At Piratefest again today. I love walking around and seeing all the people, especially all the kids. One funny thing they have is a Pierogie eating contest. I think the record is 23 in 2 minutes. There are little kids that enter along w/ the adults.

You all are probably gonna think less of me now, but I do smoke, not very much, but I still do it. I know, I know, its a bad habit. :(
I do like to think of myself as a considerate smoker. If I am seated in a smoking section in a restaraunt, and my table is next to a non-smoking table, I will not smoke if they are eating. I may not even smoke at all when at a table like that. I wont smoke when walking in crowds, I always find an out of the way corner somewhere. Same for when I go outside a building, I wont stand in front of the door, I find a spot away from the traffic flow. I dont smoke in anyones homes, and rarely smoke in hotel rooms, even if it is a smoking room. I even bring candles with me when we travel to use to freshen the air, either from my smoking or from the people before us.
That said, the smokieness of bingo is the one thing I hate. Even as a smoker, smoke filled rooms can get annoying. Maybe not as quickly for me, but by the end of the night I am ready to stand outside for a while.

No one will think less of you but you do have the best motivation to quit standing right there in the picture of your signature....:D

Bethany - I never think less of a person because they smoke, all I ask is that they are like you and are considerate. Although I do not like it when I see kids in a car w/ the windows up and their parents are smoking. (IMHO) My MIL lights up anywhere and it bothers the HE double hockey sticks out of me. I keep having my DH say something to her when I see that.

Good morning everyone.

Been to church and back. I have not been sleeping well so don't have the energy to catch up.

I hope Gaspode's move is going well. I miss her around here.

Enjoy your day.

Hi all... trying to get some work done around the house so I am just stopping in quickly here.

I'm another who wouldn't think less of someone because they smoke. It does bother me pretty badly so I do avoid smoke filled rooms. But as one who used to do it, I can't judge ever. Funny though it does bother me now :p

Anywho, I am going to quickly get out of here because I just heard the buzzer for my lunch :)
