So what have we learned today? We learned:

That somewhere in the US in some dusty HS yearbook there is a picture of Alan in a dress.

That Marsha has some sicko fantasy that involves pearls and Good Housekeeping or something like that

That the Bobsey twins of western PA are awfully quiet today (hope everyone is okay)

That even if Carol posted the word "The" she'd get herself turned around and in trouble.

That the 25,000+ number under Elaine's name is not the number of posts. It is the number of times she has watched POTC. Just since it has been on DVD. Also, she made it a point to tell us she took a shower. Normally, for the rest of us that is not news......

That Gail is Alan's "schlubby". Oh wait that was a few days ago....nevermind. Just looking for an excuse to say "schlubby".

And finally that Frick and Frack of riddle fame will be replacing the Thumbs Up Mickey with another finger to anyone else who complains about the riddle.

Other than that it was a normal day on the DIS boards....

Good morning!

School's on today and the snow seems minimal...both good things for today. I'm working this morning and we'll head to the airport at about 2 so I'll be checking in.

It's 3 degrees right now and when we land in Orlando tonight the temp here should be around 5 degrees......and about 60 in Orlando! I'll take it.

We only got about a 1/2 inch of snow here. LK's area got a lot more so she will be getting into work later. My DS, Brendan, turns 7 tomorrow. He is so excited and is taking brownies into school. He gets a little vacation too since they are off next Monday and Tuesday. Have to finish getting ready for work.

Two hour delay here. The kids will be thrilled. I could use the delay for work also. Not a bad deal - show up just in time to go to lunch!

I hope the kids enjoy the 2 hour delay!! I always hated having those in school though... especially highschool, felt liek such pointless day! What a pity for you, showing up just in time for lunch

Sure didn't get the snow they were predicting. Only looks to be about 2 inches.

Here's a great story:

LK, thanks for the heads up the other morning on the U.S. Air tickets to Orlando. My friend Marg called me right after that telling me she needed 4 round trip tickets to Orlando for travel Feb. 4th-Feb. 11th. and could I help her. She's not real good on the computer.
I don't know if you all remember me mentioning her, her husband died right before Christmas with a brain tumor and her dad died 10 days later. Needless to say, they had no Christmas.
Another friend of hers who is a DVC'er gave her a week at OKW for her and the kids, I went online for her and got the great deal on the airline tickets for her $138 round trip!!!
The kids are SO excited and I'm excited for them!! They've never been to WDW! And they really need this!

I'm still home sick today. ugh.

Sandi, that is wonderful news! I remember you posting about her DH passing away, but I didn't realize her dad passed away too. I hope they are able to relax and forget about their troubles for a while.
