Your poor sister:hug: I hope her insurance company acts quickly.....being stuck with 4 children & no vehicle isn't a good thing!! I'm having trouble finding a day that I don't need my car to be able to take it to the dealer for some minor repairs....

Good Morning!

Cami, Oh no! That stinks! I hope your sis doesn't have to go too long without a car!

I'm off to work early today, everyone have a great day!

(I'm excited for Survivor tonight!:Pinkbounc

Cost of a cell phone call to AAA: free (included in plan)

Cost of replacing the rim that you just drove on foolishly: the same amount as the GNP of some small third world countries.

Cost of the "What a brilliant man I married" look on Mrs. Loubon's face: priceless.

:rotfl:

Boy was I confused. Mrs. AAA = Mrs. Lou

I figured somewhere along the line Alan and Lou were wife swapping.....
:rotfl:

I've got a EMIL to send if you guys need an extra!

Morning all!

Poor Lou getting picked on so :(

:p

Cami, I am so very sorry to hear about your sister's car!! That is absolutely awful :( I hope the insurance will work quickly to help her.

LK... nicely done :rotfl:

okay,how about this:

Cost of replacement rim for foolishly expensive import:
$8 kajillion

Cost of call to AAA for repair of flat tire:
$1.50

Value of entertainment Angels receive from said escapade: PRICELESS

I am so glad Lou is here. He keeps LK and Steph in material for their posts. I am enjoying it all.

Cami, hope your sister gets her situation taken care of soon.

We are going back and forth about going to Florida over spring break. Need a vacation. It costs too much. Want one more trip with Sarah. Too short a break. Take kids out of school. Sarah has missed alot already. Visit the IL's to stay in the will. Stay off property to save money. Can't go to Florida without visiting the Mouse. Is it worth it for 2 or 3 days in the park. It goes on and on. I will let you know at Easter if we have gone or not.

So where is everyone??

I have a question and I don't want to go to the entire board and here how it is better to stay onsite. So, I will ask my friends. I have stayed onsite in WDW four times and offsite twice. Of course I prefer on but am really trying to do a budget friendly trip. Do you have any comments on the close offsite hotels? The Howard Johnson Maingate East is the cheapest I found for right before Easter. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Airfare is going to be the killer.

Another question, to you think it is worth going for only 3 days in the park. Then we would go to the IL's on the gulf coast for 2 days. I love the beach there.

Carol, I think three days would be fine for you - your family will love it! If you put it off now, it will only be harder to schedule it when Sarah starts college. Have you been trying Hotwire for hotels and/or airfare?

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in DD in August - it is now a Holiday Inn (or is it a Howard Johnson? :o ) At any rate, it was a nice hotel.

Cami - any update on your sister's car?

Nope, no update yet........not holding out much hope for the police finding it.

luckily shes down the road from my parents so they can drive her if she needs them to, the village also has quite good public transport so she can get about easily enough, she doesn't use the car too much anyway, finds the buses easier with the pram (no dismantling)

Lou, all I can say is I am proud of you for being man enough to tell the story in gory detail knowing full well that you were setting yourself up as a target.

Steph...being a little extra cruel aren't we? :p
(Yes, I know he was being just as mean by insulting NASCAR)

Cami, that is horrible! How did it happen? (Where was the car, etc?) I hope they recover it.

As for Mrs. AA being swapped with Mrs. AAA.....don't you think Lou and I have enough problems without complicating matters? :teeth:

the car was sitting outside her house as usual, you don't expect something like that in such a small village

Carol - I wish I had an answer for you. We are staying onsite again becuase we aren't renting a car and I'm not sure about offsite transportation to the parks.

Cami - I hope things work out ok for your sister. A couple weeks ago the news reporter talked to a girl who SAW her car driving away.

Lou - Thankyou for the story. You know amazingly enough I don't think I have ever seen a woman driving on three tires. Only men:p

Ok here's the latest. It appears my aunt will take grandmother while my parents are out of town. After listening to a zillion excuses from her my dad actually TOLD her she WOULD take vacation that week and care for her:o I guess my aunt went to another Dr. yesterday...and he said...after only 15 min. with her.....that she needed to ....see a psychiatrist!!! Ok that is 3 doctors and 2 family members that have told her that. Think she'll listen??
Well I need to get Nick started on some work. I let him sleep in because he wasn't feeling well last night:( We also need to make a store run. Later:wave:

I'll be back to all of my "loyal supporters" tonight.

Right now I have to go earn money to pay for tires.......

Morning all....
Sorry about the tire Lou, but :rotfl: thanks for sharing the story

Im starting to hate that I said I was available to work on Thursday nights. Can we hold off on Survivor, Apprentice and ER talk tomorrow until I get a chance to watch my tape. Thanks.

Sam is on day 1 of a 5 day weekend. Of course I thought that meant I would get ot sleep in. Nope, a friend called here at 7:30. I didnt get up to answer the phone, but it woke me up enough that I couldnt go back to sleep.

My big ploans for the day, cleaning. Doesnt that sound like fun?

Carol, I am not much help. I haven't stayed off for about 15 years. DH loves Disney resorts and that is why we bought into DVC. Don't blame you for wanting to save money, though. Lots of nice places to stay in the area! As far as the number of days, we did 4 days with our last cruise. It's never enough ;) , but we did get our Disney fix.

Poor Lou. Hope today is better! But you made me laugh. You sure can tell a funny tale.

Bethany, 5 days? Wow! I thought my kids were lucky getting 4.

Cami, that's terrible! Hope they find it. You don't expect that to happen in front of your home.

Now our wild men are wife swapping? What a crazy bunch of guys we have here.
