Normally, I don't encourage cell phone use while driving, but perhaps LK should consider it if she's going to keep jumping out of her car to relay messages!

At least she's not sending smoke signals. Now THAT would be dangerous!

I for one am glad that they haven't passed a law yet in PA to not allow cell phone calls in cars.

Lorraine, they haven't yet here in Ohio either... I do have a handsfree headset or something like that for mine... I just never use it. Bad me, I know...

IF she actually EVER had it with her and turned ON.....that might be a good idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right, Lorraine? ;)
(someday she might just listen!) :teeth:

Amy and I now have our boxes packed and ready to go. DD just needs to write her note, then we'll seal & ship them this afternoon. Ours are both headed east - bet you couldn't guess that. LOL!

Actually I was thinking the same thing and would like to add to having it with her and turning it on, the ability for it to call more than just 911 and the 3 block radius around her house.

As for hands free (since we have that law in NJ and NY and it should be a law everywhere for your own safety) I would suggest the Jabra Ear Bud. It pops in your ear and there is no mic arm or anything. It works on the vibrations from your head (I swear!). The only problem is that it is virtually invisible and people will really think you are nuts talking to yourself (although with this crew that may be a bit redundant even without the crazy arm and hand flailing, ABBA singing, karate kid on the roads).

See above post Lou! :teeth:

darn - figures this had to post on the next page!!

That was me being the slacker. Thanks Marsha. I don't think the UPS guy knocks or maybe he came while I was out yesterday afternoon and we never use the front door so I didn't see the box until I left today. It arrived safely.

Marsha sent me a big box jam packed with autumn goodies. I received 4 lovely placemats and 3 matching pot holders, appliqued with leaves and apples, etc. Also 3 candles, one was apple and one was cinnamon and two votive holders. Apple pie spice which I will have to use after I get over having birthday cake in the house. She also made a fall table centerpiece of silk flowers and leaves in a basket. Last but not least, a cute wooden turkey holding a sign that says "Gobble till ya wooble." I hope this doesn't mean that Marsha thinks I am a turkey.

Thank you so much Marsha. I feel very spoiled today.

Lou, I think you are right here... with this group we are already looked at funny ;)

Although I seriously want to ask... how comfortable is it? Honestly most of the earpieces are too big to fit comfortably in my ear. When I fly I actually have to use the child sized ear planes because the adult size causes pain when I put them in :o

Donna, I'm IN!! ;)

Nice package you got there Carol!!!! Ya done good Marsha :teeth:

E!, it comes with 6 different gels. S, M & L and all three for both left ear and right ear. (in case you are left eared rather than right eared!:p ) Actually they are shaped differently for left and right.

All I can say is that anyone I have told about it that actually listened to me (and believe it or not when it comes to this stuff that is more people than you would think) can't find anything they like better. I think Plantronics makes one similar too. They are less than $20 and Radio Shack and Walmart both carry them.

Lorraine ~ I'm sorry but since your post was the first on the page I have no idea what you're talking about. ;)

Thanks Lou... I'll have to try them. And actually that is cool that they are left eared and right eared... I actually prefer using my left (which I am told I am odd for :p))
I have to go to Walmart today... need vitamins and a metal spatula... would have gone during lunch but it's raining and I am a whimp!

Carol - nice box that Marsha sent you. I love the wooden turkey's sign.

Gotta love when the boss joins you for lunch, and then picks up the bill!!! We almost had him convinced that we needed a liquid lunch.
