No school here today either. Im trying to get us motivated and to the store to do a little Christmas shopping.
Today is my only free day, Im either working, volunteering, or going to Scout training. It's gonna be a busy week.

I hope y'all who are off today, are enjoying it. Makes me jealous But I did just put in my time off requests for December... out of 20 days possible, I will only be working for 11. I still have 1.5 days to burn between now and the end of the year though. Tried to see if Luis would take a day off with me sometime next month, but he has to look to see what he has available.

Sign Language update:

I've now been going for four weeks. We've done the alphabet (fingerspelling), some basic greetings and questions, and a *lot* about family and relationships.

I'm just *loving* it. Two hours on a Saturday of constant learning something new. I haven't listed everything we have learnt but I bet its around 100 signs already. There are 8 of us and the teacher (who is deaf and doesn't speak) and we all get on well and have a great time.

This carries on until February. Then you can do the level 1 course for a year and get a qualification. I really hope I can find somewhere to do that. I want to carry this on as long as possible

The only downside is that since Jon didnt sign up with me like I had hoped I have no one to practice with when not in lesson!

We had a fun family day. We played mini-golf and then visited my mom this afternoon. We're home briefly then EB has indoor soccer tryouts. Please keep your fingers and toes crossed because guess who one of the coaches might be???
Indoor is competitive and not everyone is chosen for a team. I wouldn't mind if she's not chosen if I truly believed she was rated on skill only and not because one kids mother hates her brother.
