Missy great news, those anual checks are always a "hold your breath moment" around here.

First let me start by saying G and I are fine,

we had a wreck today A brand new driver of a old heavy duty chevy pick-up pulled right in front of me.

I know I should be glad that we are unharmed and that he had insurance but grrrrrrr it's friday @ 4!!! There is no way of getting a car until monday or maybe tuesday......Mom loaned me hers for soccer practice, I'm starting to calm down and settle in and the sky opened up and down poured on us. I think I just need to throw g in the bath fix some dinner then it's off to bed for both of us!! So far 2004 SUCKITH!!

Ok thanks for letting me vent, I feel much better

AJ got his cast off today!!!!!! Love that, still in a brace for a month (That was surprising) As a treat, we all went out to dinner at a local seafood place.
Yummy fried clams...I'm stuffed!!!

Played "piano" (not a real one, yet... I miss a real set of piano keys) for a while... and now I am really tired again and feel like sleeping. I might drag Luis off the computer and have him a watch a movie with me. Funny, he is feeling better today but still the "sick one" If he only knew how bad I felt, he might not try to be such a baby

Allen stopped on the way home and bought a huge treadmill. We've been talking about getting one. Now I can take my walks in the living room when the weather isn't pleasant.

Now, mind you, David is gone so he can't help unload this monster. So Allen gets out the industrial thing on wheels that lets you move heavy objects (I don't know what it's called, but it's kind of like a dolly). He says he'll pull it out of the truck and I'll just have to pull the box out from under it. When I do, he puts the treadmill down on three of the fingers of my right hand and mashes them. While I'm whining about my throbbing fingers, he decides that it's not sitting on the dolly thing quite right, so he shifts it and rolls the whole thing over all the toes on both my feet! And I was wearing open-toed shoes, too.

So here I sit. My one toe is turning black & blue and all of them are throbbing. My fingers feel sort of numb and sore. Amy's helping him put it together, but I'm not sure I'll feel like walking on it tonight. Now they say that we are missing a part. Story of my life.

Star, I'm glad you are okay. How frightening! Wrecks scare the daylights out of me. How bad is your car?

I drive a navigator and it took out the whole front pannel and the left front quarter pannel.......ruff estimate so far is about 4 g's but won't know til next week. Guess I won't be in Norman tomorrow, yell extra loud for me MP!!

Andrew is refereeing (is that the right word?) 4 under 10 soccer games starting at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Then there is a band competition in the evening. I'll be home alone during the day. Not sure what I'll do.

Amy has been on the treadmill ever since they got it up and running. Now if only I can motivate myself to do the same once my toe feels better.

How long is AJ in the brace? Bet he's glad to have that old cast off.

Alan, My DH is in construction but unfortuanately he continues to have a 7-day workweek!

SB, I would love to go (Philly) and I could stay with BB and Andy. It'll depend of if my twin can take care of my mom that weekend. Also, the 14th is our Anniversary, so I'll be wanting to get on the road early for home.

E, can you not get rid of that headache? 2 Percogesic always works for me

Our 4 skylights are being installed tomorrow but I'm more anxious for our sliding glass doors to be installed.

Well the popcorn sale was fun, the boys sold about $200 worth. Not bad for a drizzly Friday night.
After that we went to the other family's house for pizza and drinks....although I think we forgot to eat the pizza, LOL.

I dont know if I mentioned this family before, Lou went to HS with the husband and Ive known him as long as Ive known Lou. We have since moved 20 miles from where we grew up and they also moved to this town. We didnt know they lived here until another mutual friend commented 'I think Carl lives near here'. Sure enough, we live about 1/2 mile from each other. They have a 3rd grade boy and a 1st grace daughter in the same school as Sam.
We had a wonderful evening.....the kids played great together and the adults had a great time catching up and just talking.

For fear of a major typo...Im signing off and going to bed.

busy day here today

to start with i'm making pan au chocolate for breakfast, then off to my parents to collect my mail, then to my sisters to see all of them, then shopping for dinner tonight, hubbies mum and gran are coming down , as well as 2 of his closest friends

it's my mums 60th today! but no partying for us.......her and my dad are in rome for a week, lucky people!

Good morning everyone! Slept in this morning and have no plans to do anything until 1 or so, when I go to sing. Still not feeling all that great, but at least I can still talk & sing

Sandi, I hope all goes well with your skylights being installed. How much longer before everything is done?
The headache was just cold/sinus related. For the moment it seems to be gone.

Bethany, how neat that y'all moved to the same place like that.

It is pretty cool. I know only Brian will appreciate the town names, but the whole story has more coincidences
You know how you have your close group of friends, then there is the fringe circle....the ones you really only see at major events, big parties, etc. That is how we socialized with Carl, he was more friendly with a friend of ours so we saw him infrequently and didnt really socialize with him on our own.
Anyway, we all grew up in the Franklin Park, Schiller Park, River Grove area. When Lou and I got married we moved to Bensenville. A couple years later Carl married Jeanne and also moved to Bensenville, about a mile from us.
Lou and I ended up in Riverside for a while before buying this house in Schaumburg. When we moved here we found out we were only 1/2 mile from Carl. It's great, we are becoming better friends and our kids are friends too. They all think its pretty funny that we have known each other for so long.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi before my busy day begins.

Allen is parking cars at the church this morning. When Amy and I are ready, I'm taking her to Mom's so she can get her to school in time for the choir try-outs and I head down to meet Allen at the church. Whew! That was a mouthful!

So I'm off to get dressed in red and put something in the crockpot for dinner. I don't want to have to cook after the game. I'll have to wear open-toed shoes today even thought it's in the 40's right now. My one big toe is sure sore and the nail is very sensitive. Thank goodness I'm usually warm natured.

Sandi, I bet you are anxious to have everything finished. Just keep telling yourself how beautiful it's going to look when it's finished.

Bethany, that's cool about your friends. How funny that their kids even go to Sam's school! They aren't stalking you are they? LOL!

E, I told you to get to feeling better. Seriously, hope you feel better soon. Take it easy.

Happy birthday to Cami's mother! I know she's not around, but you can tell her when she gets back.

Can't wait to hear about the corn maze. Hope Donna isn't still lost in it.

That's a very good question and no one knows the answer to that just yet. The electrician will be here on Monday to re-wire the house, maybe then we can start getting some walls back up.
