So Gerri and I went to see 12 Angry Men on Broadway today. We thought it was about 12 DISers who got excessive PMs from Donna....

Actually, it is a remake of the courtroom drama that originally starred Henry Fonda and then was remade for Showtime with Jack Lemmon (among other stars). This production had 12 names you probably wouldn't recognize but every face you have seen in countless movies and TV shows. We particularly like to see shows that have actors that we have seen on the big screen in their natural acting environment.

Anyway, John Pankow (Ira from Mad About You) plays one of the jurors who just wants to get the deliberations over with so he can go to the Yankees game. So one of the other jurors tells him to settle down and he says to him, "Are you a Yankee fan?" The other juror replies, "No, Pittsburgh", to which he replies, "Pittsburgh??!!? You might as well hit yourself over the head with a crowbar every morning."

And now a moment of silence for our friend Brian whose beloved Cubbies let him down again....(***insert silence here*** ) I feel for you pal. I know what it is like.

Busy day... sang at the ordination (boy are those things long!!!) then went to check on my sister's cat (she's out of town). After that I tried to find a few last things for the fall exchange and got sorely disappointed when I saw only Halloween and Christmas things in the three stores I went to Home for the rest of the day at least.

Hey everyone,
Finally unwinding from a very long day today. Today is the 17th anniversary of my very dear friend Mark dying in a car accident. Today is also the day that marks the year that he has been gone as long as he lived. I am feeling a very heavy heart today.

Quite literally, I'm having chest pains, and think it's probably stress related...but am considering a visit to the dr. if things don't improve. I can't say I'm actually in pain, but I'm uncomfortable. I know..I know...why am I DISing???? Just trying to keep my mind occupied I guess.

I'm back from the game. The Sooners won. My sore toe handled the walk pretty well. The only part that was really hard was all the stairs in the stadium. Did you hear me cheering for you Star? Allen and I went out for cheese fries and beer after the game. We also stopped and did a bit of OU shopping for the kids for Christmas since they weren't with us. I don't remember when we last went to a home game together. It was fun. Unfortunately, we both got sunburned.

Amy's home. Her audition went well, she thinks. She said it was a blind audition, so she didn't see who was listening to her. Kind of strange.

Lou, I love 12 Angry Men. Sounds like you had fun.

E, you've had a busy day. I agree that ordinations are long. I may go shopping for a bit later. Haven't decided yet.

The only danger I can see to taking LK or SB to Vegas is if their luck doesn't rub off on you, they may beat you every time. Of course you could always ask them to gamble with your money. LOL!

Better go check on dinner. I have to add green peppers and cook some pasta before we can eat.

Getting ready to go to my BIL's b'day party. DH and I spent the day cleaning for tomorrow. Such excitement.

Missy, sounds like a nice day for y'all (sorry about the sunburn though). Our game won't be on until 9 EDT, so we have a little while to wait to see and cheer. I am currently watching Alabama vs S.Carolina... not been a pretty game so far.

Lorraine, it is more or less PJ time for me... however doing laundry so that will have to hold off until some athletic pants of mine are dried.

Brain, I'm sorry about the Cubs too. I don't cheer for many teams, but I like them. My Royals were actually doing well tonight, but I didn't catch the final score.

Hope Steph is feeling better. I'm really concerned.

Just got home from the ER.......tonight was Homecoming (i'll post pics of Meg in her dress tomorrrow).....a lot of the band kids went to a party instead of to the dance......party was at a girl's Grandma's houe who has an indoor pool......got a call that Matthew fell.... fat lip, scraped leg & arm & cheekbone & a jagged forehead cut that took 6 or 7 stiches

Steph! Feel better soon.......go to the Doc if necessary!

Leanne~Steph's family & my family will be there that same week you are there!!!! My DS's bday is the 4th!

I went to The Big E on Saturday ......officially called Eastern States Exposition.....lots of food, fun and stuff on sale(can openers,mops,dicers and slicers).....went to see the Peking acrobats.....great show - tumbling,balancing and people getting their bodies in positions that I could never dream of getting mine into or out of ! .......today I'll be washing windows ....oh well - I had my day of fun, need to get something done around here now!

yeowch...poor Matthew...will he at least end up with a cool looking scar that will attract the girls????
