If Olivia Newton-John married Wayne Newton, then divorced him to marry Elton John, she'd be Olivia Newton-John Newton John.

My, my. Chatty, chatty bunch again.

Star - glad you had a great time at the concert.

Alan and family -

Steph - did you say October 15th?! Hmmmmmmm........whomever has me can mail me my b'day present too!!!!!!!!!!! What a great day. I'm going to try the pot roast recipe tomorrow.

E - I'm jealous that you are getting to watch the Star Wars collection. I have to wait, but so looking forward to having it w/ surround sound.

I was busy cleaning my house this morning since a friend of mine was coming over w/ her DD who is a friend of Shannon's. I got the pool warmed up to 90 - not too many more nice days here so we are taking advantage of 80 degree weather.

Just finished watching Star Wars V... actually one of my favorite all time lines is in that one
"Laugh it up Fuzzball"

Lorraine, I think you should just come over here and watch... we do have surround sound ;)

Anywho... this monitor is half shot and is ringing something terrible tonight. So I am just going to say Star, I am so glad you had a great time at the concert.

I am getting the heck off this computer until I can either change the refresh rate on this this thing or something else (most likely a new monitor is in the works)
should've bought a new computer with the way this thing has gone  :p

w00t I got my exchangee

thanx E I hope you get things worked out!

Donna yeahNO on the juice song and YES on physical but her bad did a sorta salsa/latin type arrangement it was really amazing, it took the first line of the song for me to realize it.

She says it's on of her fave's because it got banned, she said compared to what she here's now Physical is more like a lullaby lol

This was the song she sang that most surprised me; I didn't know it was her song.....but I surprisingly knew most of the words. :confused3

In the corner of the bar there stands a jukebox
With the best of country music, old and new
You can hear your five selections for a quarter
And somebody else’s songs when yours are through

I got good Kentucky whiskey on the counter
And my friends around to help me ease the pain
`Til some button-pushing cowboy plays that love song
And here I am just missing you again

Please, Mr., please, don’t play B-17
It was our song, it was his song, but it’s over
Please, Mr., please, if you know what I mean
I don’t ever wanna hear that song again

If I had a dime for every time I held you
Though you’re far away, you’ve been so close to me
I could swear I’d be the richest girl in Nashville
Maybe even in the state of Tennessee

But I guess I’d better get myself together
`Cause when you left, you didn’t leave too much behind
Just a note that said "I’m sorry" by your picture
And a song that’s weighing heavy on my mind

Please, Mr., please, don’t play B-17
It was our song, it was his song, but it’s over
Please, Mr., please, if you know what I mean
I don’t ever wanna hear that song again

OMG I LOVE THAT ONE!!! One of my favorite ONJ songs.....used to sit by my sister's 8 trtack player & listen to that one over & over when I was about 11 or 12:D

Alan, hope thing get a little less crazy soon! And hope your little angel feels better. What did the doc say?

Glad the concert was great. I'm still jealous. I think she's beautiful with a voice to match. She is a breast cancer survivor, too. Oh and I think talking to the coach is a good first step. Hopefully, he'll do something about the bully.

I did my grocery shopping tonight. Whew, it's been a full day. I'm about ready for bed and it's only 9:00. LOL!

Marsha, have fun with your mom.

Too lazy to look at chicken recipes tonight, but I haven't forgotten. I'll try to do it tomorrow.

My mom's idea of the doctor's instructions to "take it easy for the rest of the day" appears to be raking the leaves in her yard. Sometimes I think I must be adopted.

Just letting y'all know that Lela only has a mild case of bronchitis and is now taking an antibiotic and cough syrup. She was very proud of herself for the way she handled the finger stick and throat culture...so was her parents.

She had been so worried about it...

Rebecca told the trainer that she was just too out of it this week to do anything. Since he and the main trainer both know her and her mobility skills he said that we may submit a video tape ourselves of her working those areas.

So we'll see how many takes I can get it in. :teeth:

Nevertheless...I think we're all going to be okay, but thanks for the good thoughts and the hugs!

As for you Lou...I'd stop worrying about me being a girlie-man and worry more about Gerri being a manly-girl brandishing a chainsaw your direction!!!

I made Lars' enchilada recipe for dinner tonight and it is yummy!
I found my crockpot and I'm not afraid to use it - I'm making the samething tomorrow!!!

Hope you've had a peaceful night Alan and that Lela is feeling better. EB came out a few minutes ago feeling warm and I thought she had a fever too - turns out she's been wearing a sweatshirt to bed.

I'm thinking we're long-lost sisters MP - we have too much in common!!!! ::yes::

Evening!

Back from the Pirate game. Pirates lost, but Billy and I both won Roberto Clemente T-shirts.

Alan, Hope your little one feels better fast!

SB, Today was a great day for the pool! (That's how I spent my afternoon)

Star, Sounds like a great concert and one I would enjoy!

LK, where did you find those good rates to Orlando?

Star, that concert sounds wonderful!!! I would have loved to have heard that version of Physical!

Missy, your mom sounds like me  I'm the nut who eats potato chips the same day I had my wisdom teeth removed, and when told to take it easy, I push myself to do more... but thanks for reminding me... our early fall tree is losing its leaves and I need to rake/blow (maybe suck and mulch) them up :)

Alan, glad that Lela survived the doc... I hate that throat test (I have only had it done once in my adult life and it still makes me uneasy). Hope she is feeling much better soon. Also glad that y'all can send in a tape yourselves.

LOL Gail... that bit with EB adn the sweatshirt is too cute! So you are using your crock pot? Whatcha making us?

Need to go to sleep soon... ahve a good night y'all :)

"I'm thinking we're long-lost sisters MP - we have too much in common!!!! "

Yippee, I've always wanted a sisiter! :teeth:

mp-I forgot to mention that it was a breast cancer fundraiser although, the video they played before hand was a little to close to home, Andi and I both got a little teary. ONJ is a 12 year survivor!

lol @ crockpot Gail! YOU GO!

The roast rocked the house even G loved it. We broke out caramel apples for dessert YUM!

All this talk about ONJ has me downloading her songs.
Please Mr Please, Suddenly, Xanadu, Let Me Be There, Twist Of Fate, Whenever You're Away From Me, Magic, and Have You Never Been Mellow have all been downloaded.
Now that all the files are transferred, Im going to bed.

Me too!!! :D

Time for bed. :wave2:

Now that we're long lost sisters, I feel like I should say "Goodnight John Boy. Goodnight Mary Ellen. Goodnight Gail."

Grumble. You guys know that Amy plays the flute. She had to buy a flute lyre for their football game the other night and after owning it for a grand total of two days, it was taken from her cubbie in the band room. At first, we thought it would turn up and it was just a mistake, but it's still gone. And the worst part is they also took her band notebook with all her music from the past two years in it. She is broken-hearted.
