Bethany, I hope your SIL is ok. Looking forward to more of your great pics!

Gerri - Lenny and I rode M:S two times last November. I was worried about getting sick, but I didn't think it was that bad. I have to admit when it was over, I was thinking "Was that it?". I thought it would continue on a little bit more.

Donna called around 5:30 and said they were waiting for a bus to MK. They are going to take the boat from there to Ft. Wilderness for the HDD at 7:15.

Thanks to Lew and his weather reports for me, I am starting to calm down a bit more about the hurricane/tropical storms that we'll be running into. Looks good for now, but the weather is always subject to change!

Half way done page two
Who was on bump control this evening
:teeth: :teeth: :wave2:

Lars, I have the TF paid off... they are nice to me, nice try though ;)

Love the pic of Sue et all

I have only one word for tonight...

amazing...

wow... he's really good... so I guess you could say I had an excellent time at Clay's concert tonight... I'd see him again in a heart beat... and absolutely moved me when he sang "You Were There"

I can't hear well, I can't talk well, but I am complete for the night...

So what have we learned today?

We learned that....

E! is a thrill seeking wild child that is not easily satisfied. And that one my friends will stand on its own! (Although it sounds like Clay satisfied her.......;) )

Star, you're making me hot with that picture! No really, its 85 degrees out and you're wearing a snowsuit and you're making me hot..... (w00t)

MP ~ The Cowboy Hall of Fame???? I grew up two blocks from the Hell's Angels (honest). Are we from the same country? :p

Cami "knicked" my keys and then you wonder why I love her Scottish accent and the missing Gaspode's British accent.

Lorraine was last seen wandering around the Coors brewery asking what makes Coors Lite....lite? She is determined to keep tasing the samples until she finds out.

Another Alan silk shirt photo...

Hey that looks like Steph in that picture with Alan........

Bethany purposely used all of her clothes on this trip just to prove a point. Then she found Condoms To Go. Does that mean there is a Condoms To Stay somewhere?

After Sue's episode of getting lit on Margarita's and really bringing the Living Statues to life in Italy, Donna, not one to be outdone, got trashed and was last seen on stage with Off Kilter. Dan was back at POR just

Get Gerri started and she can more than hold her own. Not bad for someone who said I probably won't post much. ;)

Brian, you may be innocent this time but I'm keeping an eye on you buster.

Sandi  wherever you are.

Gail ~ Who asked you? (And don't come back with one of these :( cuz that doesn't work with me anymore! No siree maam!)

Welcome back Val & Marsha!

MIA ~ Carolyn. Hope all is well

Speaking of which.... someone mentioned Moon Tycoon. Is Yepod around? John wherever you are.

Lars, I'll take notes at the BCV for you but I can tell you already just from last year we love it. Location, location, location.

Carol is Andrew still pantless? We may have to break out the smarty pants.

LK ~ Glad the weather is looking better but you're still a blabber mouth! But we're still excited about meeting our first weird Internet family so I will have to forgive you. :D

Sandy & Mike and anyone else who won't admit to who they really are...

And me? That's easy.....single digit happy dance! :thewave:

I checked and it is no longer the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. They changed the name to make it sound more interesting I guess. It's now The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Here's a link if anyone is interested. www.nationalcowboymuseum.org It's mainly a western art gallery with some famous cowboy memorabilia. I don't know, Lou. Are we from the same country? But I must remind you that I did not go to school at OSU, so I am not a "Cowboy", although I have had crushes on cowboys with a little "c". ;)

Sue's picture is great! They look like they are having fun. HDD is one of my favorites. Okay, no cowboy comments please. :teeth: I like it because it is so corny.

I am glad that Clay's concert was everything E expected and more. Sounds like an earthshattering experience. :hyper:

Bethany your trip sounds like fun. Hope your SIL is better soon. Is she out of the hospital now? How scary!

First of all Lou, my brother had that very suit. He graduated high school in 1979.

As he was a small guy back then, I wore his suit as a hand me down in the 8th grade. Last seen as I wore it as an escort for a few young ladies at a Miss McIntosh (community near where I grew up) pageant.

Yeah, Little AlabamaAlan..stud for hire in a disco suit! Okay, I was in middle school and all I did was walk them in.

Today, I have graduated to leisure suits and gold chains...the hair is really a rug..

I have to admit to y'all that I was an English minor in college and I have probably read no more than one or two of the books mentioned.

The only summer required reading that I recall from high school was The Jungle (Upton Sinclair - muckraking journalism and a commercial for socialism), The Grapes of Wrath, Pride and Prejudice, and the Gospel of John (yes, that one)

I didn't think any schools still allowed Huck Finn...good for them!

We survived the drive-in!!!! We invited Matt's friend Jason and arrived to find 2 others from their 6th grade class there too. The drive-in has 3 screens so Lew, EB & I watched Spiderman 2 while the boys sat at the back of the vans and watched Anchorman.
Jason is staying here tonight - they're both in Matt's room but I doubt they'll be sleeping for a long time. :hyper:

Too tired for catchup - night all! :D

We don't have summer required reading. After hearing about "the brick" I'm sort of glad!

I've read Huck Finn and Catcher in the Rye. Most of the others I haven't enjoyed. I am however making mental notes about what I don't want to read.

Star, how did the meet the teacher go?

I think I'm going to get ready for bed. After the night of storms, I could use some shut eye. ::yes::

HI ya'll!

E!- ya know I figured it was something like that, but decided to explain just in case! I'm so glad you enjoyed your concert.

Lou- I'll post some snow that should cool you off ASAP...btw great recap!

MP-I was in color guard and I also directed it, it's one of those things you have to do without thinking...once they get enough practice in they will be fine. Glad to hear the DK’s are happy with their schedules and good luck with the new teachers!!

Bon Bon- I love Mission Space, I totally recommend it!!

Bethany welcome home, you are making me home sick for Cow town, I've decided not to go this weekend, but I might go when my mom takes my DGM back home.

Loved the pic of the Sue crew thanks for posting!

I remember reading catcher in the 7th grade...still remains one of my fave's.

Alan LOL @ your updated “look”

Gail- glad to hear you had fun at the drive-in!!

Mp thanks for asking about G.....I think G will do well with his new teacher she seems to be the right type of personality for him to thrive.....We were both a little disappointed that all of the kids that he knew from his class last year for this year are girls. I was really hoping for a guy buddy for him because he spends way to much time with the girls as it is, mainly because all of my friends are their mom's.

I really like his teacher but I think I've already been labeled "pushy mom of one and only child" I hate when they do that......they give you a look then say "oh he's an only child" and nod like that explains why you obsess over the one. If she only knew... oh well I did try to give a good impression. *sigh*

I got some news from the guru today.....and well lets just say I have a lot of praying to do. Seems if I want another child I have to go the extremely expensive lab rat route. It has now come down to a matter of gambling with not only my body but our finances as well. Prolly looking at one of the hardest decisions I'll ever have to make. It's looking like in retrospect that G was a miracle baby. I’m having a hard time figuring out when to say “Uncle”. I'd appreciate any opinions or advise because with all of this and the first day of school blues ......I just can't seem to think too clear.

TIA

nite nite

Quick stop in as I head to bed, after a 4 hour stint in the emergency room with ANDREW who broke his arm...not in one place...but in TWO!!!!!

He's okay now...really could have used my husband around 10:30 though....and then when they put him out to set the arm.....

I'm so tired now..i can't sleep....

Oh Steph! for you and Andrew! I feel his pain.

Steph - poor andrew, hopefully he'll bounce back with no problems....hope you manage to get some sleep

Star - no words of wisdom here (we've not even strated trying yet) but wanted to give you a , i've had a few friends go through the same thing and realise how hard it can all be

Went to see a few houses last night. The problem is that altough we can get a decent sized mortgage no problem and could afford to buy the house we liked, the way it works over here is that eveyrthing is going for about 20% over the valuation price.....but the bank will only lend against the valuation price!!
Seeing another one tonight

OMG Steph! Poor Andrew:(
I hope he's not in too much pain today:(
Give him a big hug from me:hug:
How did it happen?

Star, I wish you well in whatever route you choose to take. I know two families that were successful on their first try with IVF over the past two years. The costs are overwhelming, but the payoff is priceless.

Poor Andrew! What a way to end the summer. :( I hope he's not in much pain today. :(

E - glad you enjoyed your last summer affair! ;)

Cami - good luck with the house hunting. BTW, I haven't let my kids see the Zoo Tycoon link yet. I knew if I showed it to them last night they wouldn't want to go to bed!

As for me, I'm just :cloud9:

Yeah LK ~ if I had a countdown like your's I'd be :cloud9: too

Good morning everyone!

Lou, I guess I did make it a little too easy on you yesterday there... oh well :p

Alan is a male escort?? :faint:

I have to admit, we didn't have any required summer reading in any of my schools that I remember, only suggested reading. But since I was reading silly books like Gone With the Wind in 6th grade, I doubt I would ahve cared much anyway ;)

Star, it does sound like G will have a good class. Hopefully he will make friends with a couple of the guys quickly :) And I do pray for the best for you with your decision to have another baby. I am about the last person to give advice or opinions, but I am sure you'll figure out waht is best for you all as a family

Steph, so sorry about Andrew. I hope he'll heal quicklky and feel better soon :grouphug:

Good luck house hunting Cami!

Thanks LK... it was a wonderful night... kind of sad though that the concert season is more or less over with now.
Getting excited for something? ;)

Not awake at all today... hopefully the caffeine will help ;)

Donna, Sue, and gang are heading out for EE at MK today. Today was supposed to be a water park day, but they are trying to get in as much as they can before the storms hit.

They all had a blast last night at HDD. The kids were laughing so hard! I can't wait for my group to go on Sunday night!
