In case anybody was wondering about my form of transportation today, it has been my very own van - chauffered by Lew! We went to the bagel store, Sports Authority, Scrub-A-Dub and Sam's Club. We also tried Super Cuts for Matt but it was way too busy for a Tuesday morning. Now we're home and are going to hang out on the deck for a while.

It must be 5 p.m. somewhere, right? Cami - I think we'll have a drink for you since it's evening in Scotland! :drinking1

It sounds like a busy day for you Gail!

I used my lunch hour to return all of the tables and chairs that we borrowed from the school for our get together last Saturday. It looks like they are about ready for school to start next week.

Tonight will be a longer evening as my lodge will confer the degree of Master Mason. I wasn't very involved last year so I'm trying to get a little more active.

Or that's what Mrs. AA thinks. Secretly, we just meet at the lodge, grab our satin shirts and go bowling!

I'm sitting here waiting for my mom to call me back. My uncle had another test and the surgeon and oncologist wanted to see him this afternoon. I have a feeling the news is bad. His surgery is scheduled for Thursday. I'm guessing they are not going to operate.

Although my brother says it could be he is a candidate for a clinical trial. I'm trying to think positive. Wish I could be there for the family and for my mom.

Okay, I have the latest news about my uncle. Bet you guys are getting tired of hearing about it. They are not going to remove the section of his colon that has the cancer like they had planned. Instead they are by-passing it and doing a colostomy instead. Then they are going to start him on chemo right away. The latest test shows multiple tumors in his liver. Not good. I get they idea that they are trying to buy him time. Mom says he's in a lot of pain. I can't wish for him to go on for much longer if they can't make him better.

I will keep your uncle in my prayers. I hope they will be able to buy him a lot of time yet keep him as pain free as possible. I am just sorry it wasn't better news

Me too.

I am thankful for the time we had together in Branson. I hadn't seen them for several years, so it was a real blessing to have some fun and laughter together before he got so sick.

Andrew and I did some errands today getting him and Sarah ready for school. I think he is going to have to go without pants. He is too big for the boys 8 - 20 department and not big enough for mens 29 waist. I have no idea where to shop for pants for him.

Sorry Carol - I couldn't resist! Matt had a different shape than Andrew but similar difficulties in getting pants that fit. :rolleyes:
