Kind of a yucky morning here. Sarah called. She got a speeding ticket. She and another girl were driving 2 car loads of counselors from camp to Ocean City for the day. She and the other driver were both stopped for 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. (She thought it was 65mph.) She called me upset and crying. I am not sure if she was more upset about the ticket or telling me. The other girl had to have someone else drive her car because she was so upset. I told Sarah that no one was hurt and she needed to calm down so she could still drive. I also told her she would be paying the ticket and it could be her souvenier of the day. (I hope she doesn't get points on her license to increase the insurance.) This parenting sure is a challenge of knowing what to say right when the situation presents itself.

And thanks to Elaine for listening to me and saying the right things when I needed someone to talk to.

Hi all, have to pass on the painting myself, no time!!

We are just back from the pool and I’m getting ready to hop in the shower and get cleaned up. We are supposed to meet the family at Romano’s macaroni grill for BIL b-day(one day early as well). Drives me crazy that we have to eat so dang early......but they put their kids to bed at like 7:30 so they can have their "together time" lol whatever that is. Anyway, hate to chat and run but I need every second I can scrape together to look presentable in public! lol

I forgot to tell you guys that I wasted a good hour this morning printing out Disney themed puzzles personalized word searches & crossword puzzles for Matthew, Megan & Dylan and also for Steph's kids, Patrick, AJ & Meg......I'm dropping theirs in the mail Monday.........this is the first 'get excited for WDW' thing I'm gonna do.........................

Andrew has been complaining that he can't hear out of his left ear. No pain or anything and it came on suddenly. I think it is wax, so Jack has him at the medical prompt care place which is so much more convenient than going to the pediatrician for something like this. I better make sure the groceries are put away and the kitchen straight before they get home.

for Carol. So sorry you and Sarah too. I'm sure I'll have my share of those kids of days as my kids get older.

Star - we're headed to Macaroni Grill for dinner too! We'll be there later since Matt has a game at 5. I know what you mean about how people get obsessed with kid's schedules. You have to be flexible sometimes. I have a friend who used to go nuts if her kids didn't get a "good nap" and a a "good meal" every single day.

If you'll allow me a mom moment - this will be Matt's very last game with Warwick American Little League. He started when he was in 1st grade. Overall it's been a nice experience and we've met some nice people, they're not all Richards!!!!

And just as an FYI, my insurance didn't go up when I got my first ticket at 17. I didn't get another until I was 24, and that one didn't affect mine either. So hopefully her's won't either.

And hush it all... yes I have only gotten 2 speeding tickets in my life. Just because someone named John claims I am a speed demon does not mean I am

Star I hope your early dinner was a good one. A day at the pool sounds great. I actually sort of miss not going to a pool... maybe some day again!

Cleaning the house when you could DIS instead? Lars... what are we going to do with you, next time don't even think of cleaning while having fun here!!!!

Andrew can hear again. The doctor just used a syringe and washed water in his ear to remove the wax. I wish I knew how to prevent that.

We had crabs for dinner and they were really good.

Hi Everyone................................just back from dinner out with DH & the boys I had the lake perch....yummy!!

Now Matt & MAtthew are playing their electric guitars..........it's a little LOUD in here
