Whew! There is a lot to catch up on when you don't post over the weekends.....

Sure, everyone is chatty on Friday night, but when I am online Saturday night everyone else has real lives...

LK, congratulations on 4000 posts!!!

Belated happy birthday wishes to David

Sue, I hope your birthday was especially happy!

Elaine, we want to hear about the wedding...very nice move on Luis' part! (Did he slip ashtrays in the suitcase too?) :teeth:

Lars, husbands can be surprisingly nice sometimes but if we did it more often you would expect it. I hope all works out with the carpet.

Why not spill more bleach? If it was a circle, you could attach more and make Mickey icons in a pattern!

Oh I did too!!!! I am kicking myself even more since I didn't get on it in December last year... I can't believe I won't see it until 2005

Yes, I admit, I am a lunatic and LOVE IASW :teeth:

That is cool though, Cami, that your DH will be working with a friend of yours.

Lars, may I suggest using Q-tips with bleach to make sure that the circles are placed correctly and the right size... dip them in bleach and start "doodling" ;)

Lorraine, I think I might keep him... he can be wonderful now and then :) Sorry about the weather though... sucks to have nice days when at work.

Okay for Alan, wedding stuff... I'll do that in another post though... it was a looooooooooong weekend :teeth:

looks like I missed a couple birthdays....Happy Birthday Sue and David

Mike...your goverenment explanation sounds like a math riddle. But met me see if I get this. If there are 100 seats and 49 seats go to party 1, 30 seats to party 2 and 21 seats to party 3. Party 1 would be considered a minority goverenment because they have the most seats even though they dont have the majority (49% vs 51%)

E, you looked beautiful at the wedding

 everyone else

Busy weekend here. Worked Friday night until 12, Saturday 10-2 at Disney then 3:-4:30 at the scrapbook store (we were slow so she sent me home). Sunday I was on call at Disney but they didnt need me. So we went out and did our part to stimulate the economy. New dresser for Sam and desk for me at IKEA. Lots of landscaping things at Home Depot and the local nursery center. I think we stopped at Target at some point too, or maybe that was Saturday night. Anyway, we are going to have a very pretty front yard eventually. Lou got the edging placed and one of the planting beds filled. He just needs to get the plants in (bleeding hears and some sort of lily of the valley) and get the stones in there too. We may or may not fill the other beds this summer....it depends on if my sister is thinning out her hostas or not. I want to fill that bed with hostas but they are so expensive. I need to find a cheaper way to do this.

Today is postoffice, baseball and Target.

Have a good day all :)

I'm being lazy today. I'm still in my jammies. Guess I better get organized and actually do something around here.

I've read a few chapters and I threw in a wash. But I'm starting to get scared that the Fed Ex guy may come to my door and I'll scare him away. ;)

I'm hopping mad! I brought home a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie from last night's party. Thought since I didn't eat it after dinner, I'd have it for breakfast. Today it is gone. One of my males got the munchies and took my cookie. I'm plotting revenge.

You know, Melissa, someone eating your white chocolate macademia nut cookie is an offense punishable by death or torture......::yes::

No judge in the US would punish you for it either.......especially a woman judge!:teeth:

and btw...is there some reason why being in your jammies at noon is a bad thing................whoops...better get moving! :o ;) :teeth:

Melissa, how could you mention jammies, laundry, and Fed Ex deliveries all in the same post?

Poor Lou will :hyper:

Fortunately, the thought of your vengence wreaked against a male cookie thief will have a calming efffect, I'm sure.

Oh I wish I could stay in my jammies until at least noon... of course my co-workers might glare at me a little for doing it... especially considering what I wear :p

Anywho... Bethany, good job stimulating the economy ;) Good luck figuring out how to fill the bed though.... I always loved hostas, and it is a shame they are expensive because that would look great, I bet!

okay, impatient Alan... here you go (and extra long too :p)
wedding tales... I hoped to have pictures of this all up, but I'll get to those whenever... so I get to bore y'all a 2nd time with wedding talk :p

I left work at lunch (well, really 11 am which is half a day for me) and went home. Eventually got all packed up and high tailed it down to the Hocking Hill region of Ohio (somewhere smack between Lancaster and Logan) Nearly an hour and a half later  (thanks to the terrible traffic in Lancaster) I made it to Glenlaurel Inn. I had a blast driving down there with all the curves and hills. I get there and see Dawn and one of her MoH (Michaele) unpacking and getting everything set up. Mark was being a "good boy" too and helping a lot. I got my room and decided to go for a walk. I'll have pics of that later.

So the rehearsal came and went and all went smoothly more or less. We had dinner after that and it was fabulous! I ate *so* much this weekend. The creamy tomato basil soup was amazing as was the herb butter on the bread. The main course itself was to die for and the crème brule was wonderful. After we had a few good toasts, we all went upstairs for the "welcome party" Some partied pretty hard (trust me, not me) but we all had a blast just sitting around and talking. Michaele's boyfriend was cracking us up most of the time, and even got a friend laughing so hard she managed to drench me in champagne. Thank goodness that dress wasn't expensive :p

So midnightish finally comes around and we decide to go to bed (some of us did). As some of you know I have a terrible time sleeping without Luis next to me, so I had brought a movie to watch as I laid in bed restless. After the movie finished (it was after 2) I managed to fall asleep for about 4 hours or so. I got up and enjoyed my little patio while waiting for breakfast.

Breakfast finally was served and Luis showed up shortly after. I told him I didn't have much time to enjoy the weather and the scenery there, so he went off on a canoe trip while I showered and was introduced to that heavenly robe. Pretty much immediately after, I grabbed a sandwich and headed upstairs to the suite where we all were getting ready. My time was spent prepping the dresses and wraps (no one seemed to know how to iron delicate fabrics :p) and then eventually I got my make up done. I want Delcina to come in every day and make me look as beautiful as she did that day :teeth:

So... eventually we were all ready for pics and the like. Since I wasn't required to be in any of those (actually by mistake, but he did get me in the shots after the wedding) I was the one who ran around with 4 inch heels on gravel driveways getting everything that was needed for the shots (flowers and people) and making sure that the ushers sat everyone in the right place. Thank goodness it was so nice out or I would have wilted ;)

After helping to make sure all the wedding party was looking "perfect" I finally was seated. The wedding itself was absolutely amazing... everyone looked wonderful and Dawn and Mark never looked happier. Amazingly I didn't cry. I did do my reading (The Apache Wedding Prayer) and was told I sounded great (yay!)

After the wedding we had to do the pictures, and fortunately after that, someone was there to drive us all up the hill to the reception. I ditched the shoes and helped Michaele set up some things before Dawn and Mark showed up.

All went well at the reception. We all had a LOT of fun!!!! A group of us more or less danced the night away and by midnight we were exhausted! There is a teeny story to Michaele and I dancing... and I think I will save that one for the pictures as it will make a heck of a lot more sense with that.

Luis and I went to bed around 1 am or so and woke up before 7. We slowly got ready (hard to get out of those robes :p) and met up with a few people outside before breakfast was served. It was a nice relaxed morning until about 11 am when we had to load up the cars to go home. I am not sure how we managed this, but we took all that was loaded into a CRV and put it into the back of my car as well as 4 other larger boxes from where the reception was... and a blue cooler. So after my car was packed up (and weighted down severely ;)) I drove on back home. Luis and I met up back home, took my stuff out of the car, and then after stopping at my sister's, we went up to Dawn & Mark's (about 45 miles away) to drop their stuff off. We stayed a while and then finally came back home. Luis was going to ask me to help do something around the house but apparently I looked too wiped out to do anything.

So that was my weekend... 1 1/2 years of planning is now done. Mark and Dawn did have a lot of liquor left over so she said she'd have a party (probably the weekend I get back from LA) so it will be nice to gather for the same reason again. I am just so very happy for the both of them... and so glad it all went so well :)

Thanks for posting the outcome..I'll try to be more patient waiting on the pictures then.

Already covered on the DIS today

I hd to go to page 2 to find this but then E got in before me.

Sounds like a lot of you had a tough day staying home today. After about a half day of work I came home to make some phone calls and plan some more of the summer and fall.

We will be making a 2 day trip mid-July to College Park, MD /Washington DC. Sarah has orientation and we are going to take Andrew and see the WWII Memorial and maybe a museum or two. Then we have the County Fair for 8 days. Then August 1 we are going to go to Chincoteague VA for 4 nights. Ocean and bike trails. I think it will be nice. Band camp and then before we know it August 26 and the start of school will be upon us. Also got Andrew signed up for Driver's Ed in September.

It does seem cooler than usual here also. We haven't had the AC on much at all which is nice for the electric bill.

I think we are going out for dinner tonight. Catch you later.

Almost at the bottom of page 2!!!!!!!!!!

E - wow, what a busy weekend! it's sounds like everything went smoothly - glad you had a good time.

MP - i always know to hide certain candies from DH. he never knows to look for things.

The rain stopped for awhile today. LK came over w/ the kids. We had lunch, then went miniature golfing - that was fun trying to keep 4 kids under control. I think they all had a good time though. Then it was back to my house and since the sun came out, the kids decided to go swimming in my neighbor's pool. I cooked hamburgers, hot dogs, and baked potatoes on the grill. Boy can those kids eat!

Off to relax now.
