Donna - what great news for that couple! those are great gifts you picked out!

Alan, Alan, Alan - will men ever learn what NOT to say?!;)

Went to the mall and got DD 2 pairs of shorts from TDS. Also stopped in the Gap and bought DS a pair of shorts. Nothing for me since DD decided she wanted to go home.

I'm going to be gone most of the day. I'll check back tonight. Have a great day.

Donna, that is fantastic news for your friends! Don't pediatricians frown on ipacec now? Who knows? Things go in cycles.

I'm so happy for them and will never understand why it is as difficult as it is to adopt in this country...

Ipecac? I think it depends on what the child has swallowed! But I am not a pediatric nurse....so I am not sure. I know mine has never even been opened....(knock on wood)....but it is here if I need it.

Also, they have had the most terrible time adopting b/c our friend, Ken, was hit with a line drive by a softball 10 years ago in the temple (in a coma, almost died) and has head injury residual problems.....so as he puts it........."who's going to get the baby.....the healthy couple or the guy wearing an eye patch........lol"
they have tried going through Guatamala (the lawyers shut down adoptions b/c they werent getting enough money) and were starting on procedures thru China...... when they got the phone call about this baby!!!
So, we are so happy for them!!! They are great with kids!

thanks for the ideas, Steph... going to add the CD!

Would that be: what not to say?........or, what we don't want to hear you say? ;) :p

Hi SB

Hi Everyone !

Prayers and good thoughts for Lew's father, Gail !

Work is just absolutely nuts ..... I need to hit lotto ... guess that means I need to start buying tickets :p :p :p

Good luck on the lotto Sandy. And remember all of us when you win! princess:

Donna, I'm so happy to hear the good news about the adoption!:jumping3:

Alan, is Mrs. AA throwing out hints for a new little AA?? ;)

Donna, how great for your friend. I think those gifts sound wonderful. How nice of you and your friends to get a shower together so quickly.

To borrow a phrase around here:

yeeeeaaaaahhhhhNO!

She will actually be able to practice music some and will probably go out to the school one or two days a week to volunteer. If anything, after listening to a missionary from Albania last year, she would want to adopt a blind orphan from that country.

Not enough to seriously consider at this point in our lives, mind you, but I know it's there...mulling about in the back of her brain, waiting to pounce when we think we have our lives at some level of stableness and normality....

How nice of you and your friends to get a shower together so quickly.

Wait! Is this what y'all are doing at the Lou-owwww? That's even better than a PJ Pillow fight! :hyper:

Stephanie, so sorry to hear about your neighbors. What a horrible thing for their family. :(

I'm sorry...I didn't refresh before I posted my usual nonsence...

That's okay Alan, I didn't take offense.
I really don't know the family well, we have common friends...but it always gives pause when something like that happens so close to home.

...pop-in and out!! Howdy angels!! (Marsha, Gail, Alan, Elaine, etc.:wave2: )
(Hey, Steph, LOVE yer 'hottie' pic!!)

How sad Steph. :(

There was a college senior who was killed in a tragic accident here in Newport, RI the other night. He was also scheduled to graduate this weekend and he was his class valedictorian.

How wonderful for your friends Donna, and great job with the shower gift. Adoption is indeed wonderful but has changed so much since I was a baby.

Alan - we are indeed taking the high road on all of these antics and I agree, people are starting to see them for who they are....and seeing us for who we truly are and not what they say about us. :D
(I've worked hard building this good reputation - don't anybody spill the beans on the real me!!!)

Sending good wishes for drum major tryouts to Oklahoma!!! Maybe this is becoming a tradition.....Carol's DD was drum major at her school this past year. Who's next?? Matt won't be in contention for that for another 6 years.

Later dudes!

 Steph.... that is so tragic.....seems like so many accidents this time of year.

Gail, people like that always eventually show their true colors for all to see. And dont worry.....we will keep your secret!;)

Alan: the shower thing ..........yeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhno! And there will definitely be NO pictures!:teeth:

Brian, you know, comments like that are not fan club friendly!;) :p

SB: did you get me anything at the mall?:teeth:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Steph, I am so very sorry to hear that... my prayers are with all hurting.

Just popping in very quickly. Need to clean a little tonight before Dave comes :)

See, Elaine is taking a shower...what do the rest of y'all have against personal hygeine? :teeth:

Just got off the phone with Mrs. AA and it looks like another ChickfilA night for the AA clan.

(Please notice that is clan with a "c" thankyouverymuch)

I'm finally home! And no more work until June 1st!

Steph, that is such sad news.:( I'll say a prayer for his family.

Donna, that's exciting news for your friends! Congrats to them!
My SIL and BIL have been trying to adopt for a couple years now.
They had a baby boy for a couple weeks, then the mother changed her mind and they had to give him back.:( They are still waiting.

Carol, I got tired of my tags too and now I just make my own!

I see MaryJo peeking in, I wonder if she'll pop in to say hi.

A quick check in since the storms are moving in........

Brian - :wave2:

Steph - such sad news for that family.

Donna - yeah, i bought you a soft pretzel, but i ate it!:teeth:

Hi Kimmar!
