Sorry Lars ;)

Actually I think Luis might be coming too. I am willing to give a ride out to anyone in the area who wants to come. I think we'll only have room for 2 though :) What time should we all show up? I can leave early but not *too* early ;)

Terrible storms came through last night and woke us all up... so it is a sleepy Friday here.

A quick story to share. Mommie Dearest, beloved wife of Coach Dick and precious mother to Boy Wonder was one of 2 women (notice I didn't say ladies) who were in charge of the school yearbook this year. The other woman is the lady who was ready to have Matt arrested for allegedly ripping her son's expensive shirt last fall.

Given that we expected anything from Matt being left out entirely, his name misspelled or even his teeth blacked out in his picture.

I have to admit they're creative...and I truly admire the effort they're putting into this vendetta. The picture of Matt as a baby (they do this for all the 6th graders) has a big smudge on his nose, but that's not a big deal. It's actually cute in the context of the picture.

Their piece de resistance is how the 6th graders are listed. It's not alphabetically as you would expect....because that would put Boy Wonder, who's last name ends with "R" right after Matt. The 6th graders, and only the 6th graders, are listed alphabetically by FIRST NAME!!!! That means #1 son, who's first name begins with "A" leads off the section, and Matt is near the bottom of the last page!!!

I'm a little sad about that, I'm gonna be pretty lonely.

I'm sure I'll be pretty lonely at first, but my scrapbook job has already asked if I would work a couple day shifts. I'll probably try to get in a couple shifts at Disney too.
I am also going to continue volunteering and doing what I can at school. But I am secretly (or not so secretly) looking forward to watching MY tv, listening to MY music, and doing what I want for more than 2 hours.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Gail - I can't believe the lengths those moms go to! Did anyone ask them why they listed ONLY the 6th graders that way?

E - sleepy Friday here too. the storms woke me up too.

MP - good luck to David w/ tryouts.

This rain has got to stop!! I need to plant flowers and finish painting the porch. Maybe it's a shopping day at the mall for DD and myself.

Happy Friday!!

Gail, saying a prayer for your FIL:hug:

I'm almost positive I'm completely free for AngelCon weekend.
We have a graduation party the previous weekend and one the following weekend, but that weekend looks open!!

Today is my last day of work
:Pinkbounc until after Memorial Day that is!

Good morning everyone.

MP, good luck to David on his try-outs. Maybe Sarah can teach him the conducting patterns.

Gail, that is just bizarre about the yearbook. They should have better things to do with their time.

On another thought, I am tired of the tags I have. Do you think if I deleted them I would have a better chance of getting new ones? Or how about a contest here - give me ideas for my new tag.

I have a few suggestions.............

I haven't really seen any other parents since the books were handed out yesterday, but we'll see several tomorrow. Also, Lew plans on asking the other mom (shirt woman) since she does talk to him. He wants to see her reaction or if they've already cooked up an excuse when asked.

Have a good day everyone!

Okay Carol if ya didn't like those how about these....

Super proud Mom
Super Busy Mom
Mom of a future college graduate

Gail, are you going to be with these people all through school?

Just stay on the high road and don't retaliate and they will be seen for what they are by everyone else eventually. Although it is hard biding your time.

Lela still has another week of school but next year Abigail will also attend. Realize that Lela had been in day-care/kindergarten since she was an infant but Mrs. AA became a SAHM after Abigail was born and her baby has never gone anywhere!

Next year she will go to K4 which is an all day, 5 day program at Lela's school.

Normally, I am a sensitive, thoughtful, supportive kind of husband...really! But I did a classic "man" mistake when we were talking about it and I said, "Wow, honey..what are you going to do with yourself with the extra time?"

Meaning she never has time to do anything at home due to interacting with Abigail.

She took it as a reminder that she would be home alone and informed me of what a stupid thing it was for me to say!

Hey, sometimes I'm just a guy.....

Yes, Mike...we would love it if you would come.

I will pm you some of the details, but

basically:

Friday June 11:( for those who are already here): we will probaly go out somewhere in the happening metropolis of Cranberry Twp.

Saturday June 12: 2pm Angel con Lou-OWWW (the oww part is for Lou who has decided he hates driving more than he loves us!;) ) at LK's house.

Sunday June 13th: Breakfast/Brunch at my house

We may try to do some Pittsburgh site seeing Sat. AM if we can fit it in.

Thanks for the invite; but can not make it this time. It is the same weekend of both my bowling baquets. I am missing one of them. We go away for the weekend to a resort with one of the leagues.
Maybe I can make it at the next angelcon

Ok two quick things to share!:p

1. Just got my new digital camera with card reader and 256 memory card! (can you say : MEET PICTURES?????);)

2. Friends of our who are unable to have a baby.....and have been trying to adopt.........have just got news that they are receiving a 9 month old boy who has been in foster care!:jumping3: :jumping3:
We are throwing an impromtu baby shower tonight since they found out, they are getting him on Tuesday!! Wooo Hooo!

I am so excited! Welcome to Travis Joseph!

What to get a 9 month old? I am putting together a basket of goodies with safety stuff(outlet covers, cabinet locks, etc), baby monitor, cups, spoons, bowls etc. Also included tylenol, baby motrin, syrup of ipecac, baby sunscreen, bandaids (disney, of course), and 3 of my favorite kids books: Goodnight Moon, How Much Do I Love You, and The Runaway Bunny!

Does this sound OK? I figure they wont even know that they need some of this stuff and it might be good for them to have on hand!
The poor dears......they have no idea!! LOL;) :p

Oh Donna,
How exciting...

How about "what to expect the first two years?" or maybe a CD of lullabies?
