HI,
It is now about 8:30p.m. on Tuesday night. My husband took Angela to the hospital at 8A.M and I arrived at 1P.M. I thought that she should be in recovery, but I found out that the surgery had just started. She was in surgery for 2 and a half hours. The tumor is benign. It was 6 inches long and weighed about 2 pounds. The doctor also did a pathology report and everything turned up normal. He joked around saying it was like delivering a baby! He had to take the ovary and the fallopian tube with the cyst. She was finally sent to her room two hours after being in recovery. She is very groggy, but okay. My husband works downtown so he will stop over at the hospital and bring her home tomorrow if there are no problems between now and tomorrow. The doctor is actually a gynocologist with a specialty in oncology. He also knows how much Angela didn't want to miss any school so even though his office hours are booked for Friday, he told me to call and get her an appointment for a check-up on Friday and he will squeeze her in. After my husband drops her friend, Chris, off at the airport on Saturday, we will take 2 cars and drive Angela back to school. On Sunday we will go home in one car. The doctor said that she can't drive for a while, but that she can go to school as long as she takes her time getting to her classes.
