Andrea's Wish Trip - June 8-13

awesome update!!! :)

It looks like you guys did a lot of the shows at Sea World! That is awesome!

Did you guys get a chance to feed the dolphins?

Awesome update and I can't wait for more!! :)

No we didn't get to feed the dolphins. I guess we will have to go back some day and do all the things we didn't do this time.

That was how it was, you walked out side and started to sweat. It could have been worse we could have gotten more rain then we did.

Was it humid last week??

Day 6 – Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
We started the day packing up the rest of our stuff and had breakfast one last time at the Village. The kids cried as we packed the van up they didn’t want to leave. The kids rode the train one last time and we checked out. It was a sad morning, the Give Kids the World Village is so very special place.

After checking out we headed to Animal Kingdom. The weather was already hot and humid, we met Lilo and Stitch. Then we headed for the Safari, we saw lots of amazing animals. We saw a mommy giraffe and her baby. Andrea liked the elephants the best. We all rode the Kali River Rapids ride, which felt great getting wet. Andrea and I got soaked and I mean soaked, Matt got a little wet and wanted to leave (sensory issue). It was a good thing that Matt didn’t get soaked like Andrea and I, it took us a while to dry up again. We did a few other rides and watched the It’s tough to be a bug show, very cute the kids loved it.

We went to see the characters the kids saw Goofy, Donald Duck, and Pocahontas. After the characters we headed out of the park and went and checked into our hotel (Disney All Star Movies). We were in the Toy Story section very cool large Buzz Lightyear, Woody and other characters. Once we got to our room we rested and I took the kids to the pool to cool off.

After our swim and rest we headed to Hollywood Studios. We quickly headed to the Star Wars ride, the kids liked the ride and Matt wanted to ride it again if we would have had more time we would have. Next, was the Back Lot ride, the kids thought it was pretty interesting. We did a few other rides and attractions and then we rode the Toy Story Mania ride. The kids loved, loved, loved, this ride we had lots of fun on this one. We went on it a couple of more times and headed to a few shops and headed for the exit. Another busy hot and tiring day, oh the fun.

We get back to the hotel and ordered a pizza for a very late supper, it tasted so good. Now let’s all go to sleep now – Good Night.

Love the newest update! Hope the kids are enjoying the summer. It is over here. School started back last monday.

Well I need to try to finish Andrea's trip report before next weeks heart surgery, I Think I Can!!

We started our day off by getting some breakfast at our hotel, I doesn’t compare to the wonderful breakfasts at the Village. After a quick breakfast we hop on a bus to Epcot. The bus was pretty crowded, lots of people headed to Epcot. We got a wheelchair then we were off.

First we went to Spaceship Earth the kids liked this ride, I wasn’t sure Matt would like it but he did. We liked the part at the end the pictures of ourselves in the future, very cute and funny. Somehow Matt’s face didn’t show up so we told him we would go on it again later in the day. Next stop was the Land Pavilion we went on the Living with the Land ride the kids liked it. Off to the Seas and watched Crush very cool the kids and the adults liked this one. We did some things in each side of Innoventions the kids and I liked the Great Piggybank Adventure, Grandpa and Grandma rode a Segway, and Matt played some video games.

After that we met a bunch of characters. Andrea met with Chip and Dale again, after that we had back to the hotel for a break and a late lunch.

After lunch we enjoyed a dip in the pool, it was so refreshing and the kids loved the water sprayers.

We had a meeting set up with Andrea’s 1st grade teacher. She was in Disney the same week we were and wanted to see each other. They had dinner reservations at a restaurant in Epcot. We headed back to Epcot and did a few things in the front like Spaceship Earth again. This time Matt’s head showed up in the end cartoon. Matt was happy. After we got out of the ride we came out and the skies looked very threatening.

Next off to the World Showcase, but first we have to get our Kim Possible phone and headed for Canada. We ran into Andrea’s teacher just as it started to sprinkled a little and the wind picked up and the air cooled off. We talked a little got a couple of pictures and they headed for their dinner reservations. We then headed for Paris, France for our Kim Possible adventure; the kids saved the world and solved the case. We went through some of the countries and rode some of the rides then at supper at the American Pavilion where our cashier was from a town outside of our hometown. Small World she loves it in Florida, she doesn’t mind the heat.

We did some more countries and then hurried to find a spot to watch IllumiNations. The kids and adults enjoyed this, Matt especially liked it. Andrea and I ran to the wheelchair return and met our party in front by the Epcot ball. We got some pictures in front and headed for our bus back to the hotel. Wow, that was a busy, fun birthday. Back to our hotel to crash, tomorrow we leave our magical trip. Thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation they are wonderful, awesome and great.

What a cute family picture! i am thinking that is the first one I have seen. I'll have to go back and look now!

I am glad Matt got to see his face this time on spaceship earth! That is half the fun! We haven't tried the Kim P adventure yet but that is on my list! Did the kids enjoy it? Did it take a long time to do?

I am bummed your trip is coming to an end but it seems like so far the memories have been wonderful. What did the kids think of the hotel?

Your family pictures were so good!!! It sounded like you had a wonderful magical time. Thank you for the details on Epcot. We are trying to plan our Epcot trip and you gave me some good ideals.:thumbsup2
