WOW....all I can say that just when I think I can't be suprised with planning anymore...

My brother, his girlfriend, the guy I am dating and myself have a 2-bedroom BWV booked for Feb.

Guess who broke up?? Lol, I should know my brother better than this but when he said he was going to propose to her....

So now we have the villa for just the 3 of us and I have to rethink our touring and dining plans...for 3!!

I am trying to see if my brother can find a friend to go, but they are all young, just out of college and don't really have the money for a Disney trip (even though I am cutting them a break on the room!!)

Any suggestions on how this trip can work and not be akward for 3 of us?

Do you think that they'll stay broken up, or could this turn out to be just a fight? I'd hate to see you undo all of your plans, only to have to turn around and try to reinstate them in a week! :grouphug:

Ha ha, when I read your title I thought you were expecting!!! I hope things work out! I know my neice and her BF broke up and got back together many times before finally getting married a year ago (and doing great BTW!)

No, I am very sure they are done. We are still going and I still have dining reservations for 4 in hopes that he finds a friend to come along.

And def no on the pregnancy no matter how baby crazy I am now!! :rotfl:

Dont worry about the dining part, just show up and tell them you are now 3, i think either way you woul dhave been seated at a table for four. That sucks tho for him but i think if you make the best of it it shouldnt be too awkward. Just plan on doing the things you were planning to do and have fun and maybe it iwll keep his mind of the fact that he went solo this time. Are you sure he still wants to go tho?

I have talked to him about it several times and he says he still wants to go...I'm not completely convinced. I just keep hoping one of his friends wants to tag along. I mean only $200 for 5nights in a 2 bedroom villa at BW??? Who could turn that down!!!

Don't worry about it being awkward! It's Disney World! Not many people can have a bad time there. DF and I are bringing my friend to the World in December for her first time ever, and it definitely won't be awkward. For any ride that only seats two people, we'll take turns switching off who has to sit 'alone'. And the ADR's aren't a big deal - you can always call a few days before when you're sure of who will be traveling and change them to 3 people. Have a great time!

Haha, I know... At this point I am just trying to recoup some money since his girlfriend left me high and dry...

1) Have your brother put an ad in the personals columns
. . . "Girlfriend wanted for the week."
. . . "WDW vacation in a spacious villa."
. . . "All expenses paid."
2) You'll be back to four people very quickly.
3) Voilà!

$200? When/Where should I meet you? :woohoo:

I actually had this same issue when planning my february trip... originally had a friend and her DBF who were going to come.. but last month.. well now it's down to 3, luckily she was able to find another friend to tag along for the trip so none of my plans had to change. :teeth:

See my problem is we are talking about 20-something year old boys....to them Disney is a lot of money...

Even if you figure only $200 for the timeshare for him...then you have $200 plane tickets, $190 for dining plan, and $240ish on park tickets...Now you are up to $840...I know it's a steal for us!

We'll see if my brother goes through with this or not...If not, my bf and I have a 2 bedroom Villa all to ourselves...Note to self...non-refundable = not good!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation! We've had to change our May plans drastically and it bites. But. . .I thought of something. . .
As much as I would like it to be my fiancee and I - but we can't - you could find a traveller/couple/family who would rent the second bedroom/studio from you for some or all of those nights you'll be there. There are very few dedicated two-bedrooms and you could request or maybe guarantee a lockoff. I wouldn't advertise to Disney you're doing this - could be construed as a business proposition - but in your situation, if your brother just decided he didn't want to go, it may be a solution. Just a thought. :surfweb:

Don't tell DH, but I will TOTALLY apply for the girlfriend position for a week!!! ;)

You are too skinny though! My brother is a big boy and likes his woman a little bigger :)

Haha, life is funny isn't it??

So now...it may be 2...heck it may just be me. What else could you ask for? A huge 2-bedroom villa all to yourself....

REMEMBER...nonrefundable...haha

This happened to me to and we are leaving in just a few weeks. Now there are three of us....one of which is my son, but it will still be fun. You will be fine. Don't worry about the ressies and just be kind and don't do too much romantic, huggy, kissy stuff to make him feel bad.

Yea...the reason for my update was the guy I was supposed to go with is probably not going...mostly cause we aren't really together...
