Rajah, you'll be in my thoughts.. I remember laying awake bawling when you lost Sage, I don't know why it hit me so hard but I just felt so sad for your loss. I'm hoping that everything with Blaze turns out okay.
I am sorry. We lost our beloved Ty from the dry FIP 2 years ago. I hope it comes back as something treatable.
Our other cat was tested twice and came back fine.
I'm so sorry to hear about Blaze. I lost a 7 month old kitten to FIP, if you ever need to talk my PM box is open.
I'm also hoping tests come back for something treatable!!
I've posted an update thread for anyone interested. Good news on it. We're not out of the woods, but it's not hopeless either.
Carl -- FIP is a fatal kitten disease (usually hits cats less than 1.5 years old or cats over 10) that is not well understood. Basically, it seems to turn the body's immune system against itself, and there is *no* cure. There are 2 forms: wet or dry. Wet causes the animal to have fluid build up in the stomach and lungs and the fluid leeches all the nutrients out of the body. That's what got Sage. Dry form I don't fully understand, I just know it's another form of the same thing and kills just as effectively but with fewer symptoms.
