...Our media will ,day in and day out, bombard us(and the world) with continuous images of the Iraqi POW's and the low-life that committed this abuse.

I think all those responsible for taking the pictures, distributing the pictures, and airing the pictures should be punished right along with the low-lifes who committed these atrocities

Forgive my "off subject" post here, but you have the 1 tag I have most wanted to hear about:

"now I know why her shoes smell like garlic"--I have posted several times about being curious about it--soooooo what's the story???

Do we know who took the pics? And how were they spread? I'm a little vague about this...anyone know?

The 8 or 10 people who did this are low-lifes who certainly do not reflect the 1000's of people who are serving our country honorably in Iraq and other areas of the world. What the former group did is a news story, but it should have been kept in context.....this is a very small, minute minority. They should be punished, but I don't think it deserves this much sensationalism. I mean, really, asking for Rumsfeld's resignation? Focus on the whole picture, people!

But were they fellow officers who took it? Were they journalists?

I think that if there is "new" news about the incidents, tell us, we don't need the pictures anymore thank you! This is a very serious situation, it is horrible that Americans did this, but lets not take it as far as jumping all over Rumsfeld, he is not to blame for what happened.

...that pictures were taken with a digital camera and loaded on to a disc. It seems that this happened in Janurary so there's been plenty of time to get those images distributed.
