...and a happy New Year! 12/30/2010

We are doing a gift for each child, couples, and a room gift and we will deliver around babies schedule so I have no idea, some may get delivered one day and some the next.

Got a 4K run in tonight - 5 weeks Friday is the big race day. The weather was not the greatest - just at freezing in the dark, and there was ice and frost on the walks. Decided to take a new route and discovered it was a little too windy, so I back tracked and followed another more sheltered route, then the dog decided that she needed to investigate the new territory, and spent more time then usually sniffing. Came in under the 40 minute mark with all the sniffing stops, so I am hoping I make the 16 minute mile for the race. I really would like to get the rubber medal. Geez, I never considered myself competitive before, but you dangle a prize in front of the nose, and I have to go for it. :yay: Sounds like Alex is prepared for the race. How about you SDChickie?

I had minor surgery on my stomach a couple of weeks ago so I haden't been able to run because it pulled on the stitches and hurt. So I was finally able to run Monday morning and it was so nice to run again! Needless to say I won't be in top form, but that's ok. You don't have to worry about that 16 min. mile, they don't really time the race by the runner, they just have signs up that have a clock on them, but they have no way of knowing how long it took you to run or walk the route. As long as you don't take way over an hour to run it I think you'll be fine. When we did ours in Oct. we stopped alot for pictures and we still finished at around 50 min. and ahead of alot of people.

Glad you are joining us. Let me know before Tuesday if you want to be included in the FE exchange. We are finalizing the list with Tuesday being the cutoff date. Then we only have a month until we get to enjoy the Wonder again!!! :thumbsup2

It was cold today, but oh so beautiful today with sunshine and blue skys considering the dreary rain yesterday. The temps are supposed to be in the 50's and 60's with lows in the 30's for the next few days.

Finished constructing my FE tonight (finally!!!) now I get to put the embellishments on it. :woohoo: Hope what is in my head comes out for the final effort.

Ok, i've been wondering what part of Texas you're in, but with this description it's got to be Houston! we've had some wacky weather lately.

So, for my adult FE I need some info... I know some of the adults are older kids and some are grandparents, family members, etc. I am making something and want to ensure I make enough... so can you please let me know how the adults breakdown for the rooms where more than 2 adults are listed?

Like... me, DH, MIL, FIL, DD(18), etc...

Thanks! :goodvibes
Katie

In my case it's me (thirtysomething) my mom (50something) my Aunt (also fiftysomething) and my 19 yr old cousin. We live in Houston, they live in Indianapolis.

Sorry, way off. . . . I am in East Texas
50 miles east of Dallas to be exact in a little town called Campbell
halfway between Greenville (where I was raised) and Commerce (where I went to college)

Forgot my manners. Sorry, My name is Patty (49) and my roomie is Misti (39). Was so excited to get on the cruise forgot to give our real names... LOL!! We are still in GTY status. We will deliver FE Gifts on the 1st sea day.

I wondered about that, but I figured you would let us know before we left for Florida. Otherwise we would have said "good to meet you ladypoo and roomie". :rotfl2:

Hi Patty! Wonder what ladypoo means? I always wonder about peoples Screen names and how they choose them. Some are so obvious and others... :confused3

Mine is an old nickname.

My screen name came from trying to come up with a domain name that worked for my business. As you know my name is Kathy, and I am called Kat by quite a few people. My DD is Kati, thus the twokats. . . . .

Mine's SDChickie because I was living in San Diego when I first signed up for an e-mail address and I decided I will always be from San Diego, it's my favorite place to live so far.

:woohoo:

OK, at the bottom of this I have brought the final list that is totally broken down which I think is what you want.

Hope this gives the breakdown you needed for now. Guess we all better get busy, we have less than a month to go!!!:dance3::thumbsup2:cool1::goodvibes;)

Yes it does! Thanks!

For those of you with kids... if you were thinking about extending your vacation at WDW after the cruise, I found a great program that will get your whole family cheap park tickets. It is the Y.E.S. program youth education series program. The catch is you have to take your child to an educational program for a couple of hours on Jan 10th. We were going to leave on the 9th to go home anyway so I figured what's another day of school missed if I am giving them an educational program at Disney. We're doing the Ocean Discoveries program at EPCOT from 8:30-11:30am. 7 day park tickets were only $164.45 for each of us, adults too! Here's the web site if any of you are interested they run different programs all year so if you are vacationing later in the year you can sign up for other programs too. http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/
I was trying to figure out how to see the X-mas lights before our cruise and go to the parks after our cruise and this was by far the cheapest thing I found.

It is an old nickname. kinda. I was called Poo for a long time and just didn't think it appropriate for a Disney board and thus Lady got added.

I think POO is very Disney appropriate if you add an "H" at the end! pooh:

We got our name when we met Ken and Shari Prosser (disers) and learned about the disboard for the first time. We have done all the "firsts" that DCL has done, so Ken said our dis name should have something with first timers in it so they would know it was us posting, so it became first timers.

From Where is the Dream thread: Dec 2

We just booked last minute. Happy to be on for New Year's! Can anyone give us any tips on shore excursions? We've never been on the Eastern Carribean cruise before, only Western and Bahamas. Any "must-see" or "must-do" activities in the ports? So much planning, so little time with last minute booking. And, any hints as to what the Castaway Club gift is at this time?:)

Can't help you on the excursions, as this is our 1st Eastern trip, but wanted to welcome you to the cruise!!!!:welcome:

It is our first Eastern as well. We booked the beach break at St. Thomas and are just going to take the water ferry to the very close by beach in St. Martin.
