...and a happy New Year! 12/30/2010

FE for one room only 6080. My daughter has some ideas for gifts, but I am not sure if she will have time to pull it together. She is in the middle of essays and finals for her 4 yr studies in Global Studies and Women Studies. She plans to save the women of the world. That is after the 2nd degree in midwifery, at least that is the plan today. She is trying to convince her boyfriend in making the gifts. If she gets it done, I will just add to my pkg. I know that she will be the one that will be helping me deliver. I don't think it is my hubby's cup of tea.

Getting excited - only 18 days of work. Running is not going too well. It was cold and rainy. We got a dusting of snow on the weekend - which I do mind running in the snow, but the weekend was crazy busy.

OK, I want to get this right. Do you just want the one room on the list, but have all 4 of you listed? Will save some legwork, that is for sure!!

After a cold rainy Thanksgiving, we have had crisp cool days for the weekend. A little nippy in the morning and late evening, but oh so pretty during the day. Traffic was horrible today though. Luckily I saw how backed up the interstate was tonight before I got on it and stuck to the service road and made a lot better time for the short trip to take care of my mother.

Great! We'll see familiar (by then) faces! I've read such good reviews about his tours. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Regarding the night before the cruise at CI&S, will it be warm enough for the kids to swim? After driving all that day they would love nothing more than to take a dip. I'll just have to make sure the swimsuits are at the top of the suitcase! And I'm sure I'll love nothing more than to sip a fun drink!:thumbsup2

Since we're driving too I just pack my beach bag with all our swimsuits, sunblock, goggles, ect. and leave it in the back of my car then when we get to where we are going it is a snap to just get out and change up. I'm still trying to decide what I want to do about park tickets, not too keen on spending around $300 just to go see the lights and decorations for one night. As far as temps. go for swimming it's really hit or miss at this time of year, we've had temps in the high 80's and also temps. in the low 40's so I guess we'll just have to see what we get. I hope the pool is heated. How long is the drive from TX? Ours is around 15 hours and we usually do it straight through. We'll be down in FL visiting family on the 26th so we won't have far to drive on the 29th.

Terri - We did the park for 2 days before the cruise last year and Boy was that expensive. Of course we got hopper tickets, because we never stay in one park. Never again, if we are going to the parks at WDW, then we going for at least 7 days as the tickets are just too high.. Or else we will not get hopper tickets and do one park. This trip, we are just going to spend it at DTD and enjoy the things around there.

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. I worked all day Thanksgiving but had the three day weekend off. On Friday we did the Black Friday shopping thing from 4AM-10AM, we got about 75% of the things we wanted. Saturday we drove over to Cocao Beach for an Arts show and saw the Magic at the port. We did the Spacecoast half marathon on Sunday, and saw the Wonder at the port on the way home. Just one more month till we are on board. Welcome aboard to the new disers. Alex

Terri, we have about an 18 hour drive so we'll break it up over 2 days or else I think we'd all kill each other. :sad2: Our max roadtrip in the past has been 13 hours. We're hoping to do most of it the 1st day and maybe get to stop by DTD on the 29th. I looked into 1 day at MK but holy cow! I didn't think it was worth the cost for us on this trip.

Spent today working on FE gifts. Have to go hide the evidence before the kids get home from school!

Now that we are approaching the one month mark I can barely contain my excitement! Really looking forward to meeting all of you.

Only 17 school days left until we cruise! I have a feeling it's going to FLY by! I need to get serious about starting to get things ready for travel.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be participating in the FE, but I would like to get some magnets for our door made. I don't think I have time to have the disigners create something personalized for us, but where can I find some of the more generic designs for cruise magnets? Something that says Wonder 2010 or something along those lines?

Hmmm - I like the idea of saving on the legwork. Keep all of us on the list, and then it is up to each individual on how they create and handle their FE distribution. It's all about fun, and making life easy. :dance3:

OK, I will just list your room 6080 with all 4 names. How does that sound. Just let me know if you want it different.:surfweb:

Couldn't agree with you more!! We look at our countdown daily. . . . . ;)

Go to Millipie's photobucket and 4shared files and she has some generic ones. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2521093&highlight=jordak I don't think it's too late to request some personalized ones, it usually only takes a day or two depending on how many requests the DISigner has. Jordak has made a couple of disigns one of which was for this cruise so if you look through his stuff http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2552775 Here's the one Jordak did for me for this cruise...

This is great, thanks for your time and organization. Just organizing my family Christmas. My brother is coming down from Manitoulin Island next week, so it looks like I will be able to have a nice get together for my family before we leave south. It will include all my siblings and their families and my mom (14 of us). Only person not able to attend is one sister in law who will be in Hawaii. Geez, now I have to decorate the house. I am in the middle of renos, and I thought I would bypass the decorations this year. Oh well, I love getting everyone together.

Only 14 of you. Piece of cake. When my family gets together (which we will on Christmas Eve at my Mom's house) there will be 35 of us. And I only have 1 brother (who happens to have 12 children with 5 of them married with children of their own!!! :scared1:)

Mom and my family only account for 5 of that number. If the rest of my kids and grandkids came to our Christmas Eve celabration there would be 45 of us. Don't know if Mom's house could hold that many. We are pretty full with the 35. ;)

OK, here is the final list
We had one more room and 2 people added today. But our deadline has now come and gone and we can start the fun part of getting everything prepared!!! :thumbsup2

Just checked, we are still in GTY status. Oh well, long as we are on the ship, we will even sleep in the LifeBoats!!!!!!
We are driving down the 29th and are staying at the Raddisson at the Port. Stayed at the CI&S for our Oct cruise and wasnt impressed with the parking situation, so parked at the Port. We will have our truck so could possibly do the mini meet at the CI&S, if we get there early enough. It is about a 5 hour drive down depending on the traffic and construction on I-95. Took us almost 8 hours to do the trip in Oct.

Wow, now that is a family.

Just got back from the curling club, and I still have a chill, but I warmed up :beach: when there was a UPS pkg. from WDW with my Magic Express tickets. Then an email from Disney Cruise Lines about updating flight information. Do I really need to update the flight information if I am arriving a week before the cruise, and not flying out until Jan. 8?

What was wrong with the parking there? I'm leaving my car there for our cruise.
