Laura--This is funny, so maybe I DID bump into several of you and just didn't know it! We went on that SAME beach excursion to Magen's Bay where we all ended up without any towels! And then, the girl who was "in charge" at the beach, Yolanda I think her name was, unleashed a tyrant of curses when a bird pooped on her head as we were all boarding the taxis to go back to the ship at the end. We were on the bright pink taxi. My kids were older, so I wasn't AS offended, but there were some parents of young kids who were not pleased.
Our St. Maarten submarine excursion was suddenly cancelled after we had all left the boat and were boarding the buses to take us there, and it was CHAOS for quite sometime trying to get that all sorted out. A MESS.

So, we must have been at the beach that afternoon together and didn't even know it!

Niky - What were your Glitches? Our glitch was with St Thomas Beach Excrusion that 2gr8DisneyKids was on as well. The cruise staff said Towels would be provided and told everyone to put the towels back. We got to the beach and were told there were no towels. Yikes!!! Luckily they sent a CM along on the trip and the Local staff called their bosses. After an hour we had our towels, truck in from the ship. Of course we got a phone calls apologizing for the problem.

St Marteen worked out fine.

Somehow we always end up with the loudest and most adventurous tablemates. We did have a good time with them.




I assume you were at the same Character Breakfast, because DH and DD were skipped as well. DH said he made a big stink and then they came around. There was no way I was going to get up for an 8am Character Breakfast at 8am on Jan 1 after saying up past midnight.

A little disappointed because when I finally showed up, I saw how they RUSHED the characters at each table and did not allow for any interaction. Wondering if they had partied too long as well.

Ah... we were in the Black taxi. Yes Yolanda was her name. I remember when we got to the beach I asked her were to get Towels and she pointed me to the rental shack. She then was in a panic, when I came back. Our chairs were right next to the table were she and the CM were sitting.

I would have to say our beach experience there was not as well organized as our beach experience at Cozumel on our last Disney Cruise. They had a section of the chairs and beach reserved just for DCL. Food was much better as well. I remember joking with someone that the people that owned the little snack Shack on St Thomas beach must have owned own of those houses at the top of the hill over looking the cove, because those prices were pretty high for Fried food.

I finally made it back home last night and what a great time we had! First off, THANK YOU for all the great FE gifts. The kids and I loved comming back to our stockings filled to the brim with goodies and we are still playing with the things we got. We went to Bonnet Creek for the first 4 days after the cruise and then transfered to ASM. My daughter brought home the "bug" too, 2 hours after getting off the ship she was pukeing in the bushes outside the hotel, poor thing couldn't even make it to the room. She was sick that night so she didn't run the 5K. My son ran his first 5K on his birthday wich I though was kinda cool, I was bummed that my daughter was too sick to run with us. After that all was good and we had a great time at DW. The kids did an educational program on Monday and we all got to go behind the scenes at the Haunted Mansion ride that was very cool. We are booked for the Aug. 16th cruse on the Dream this summer so if any of you are on that one let me know.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. I wish I would have seen you in the race. Just finished checking out the photos of the race. Both my son and I had some good shots taken of us. My husband's number was under his jacket, so we were not able to find any shots of him. Starting to think of the next race and cruise.

Patti - PM when your husband will be coming to Tucson. We will roll out the welcome mat! We decided not to do the April Cruise, so we will be in town in April.

We had such a great time on the NYE cruise that I am on hold moving the on-board booking ressie we made on this one to the NYE 2012 on the FANTASY!!!
