An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

I'm glad that Tigger and Pooh were able to save the day!

I hope I get a chance to go to F&W sometime. All the food you tried looks very interesting, and I think it would be a fun way to spend a day exploring World Showcase.

Oh my goodness, the boys' excitement in that picture of them getting ready to meet Tigger & Pooh is infectious! I love it! :goodvibes And looks like they had a great time meeting them & then shaking their groove thing to the band. :rockband:

So glad y'all were able to enjoy some F&W offerings. I'm hoping we get to try at least a little in Oct. I know Ed won't want to try a lot....he's not really adventurous when it comes to food. So, I'll probably just choose the things I really, really want to try & that Ed may enjoy as well.

I also love Epcot at night...it is so pretty! :lovestruc

They are always so excited to see the characters. I never guessed they'd love it that much, but it really is fun for us, too. Landon was really cute dancing to that music. He loves live music.

I'm glad we were able to try some F&W stuff, too. Trying new foods is one of our favorite things. They actually had quite a bit of food that non-adventurous eaters would enjoy, so I bet you all would have fun.

Epcot at night is the best. If the boys hadn't been so tired we would have stayed longer.

I'm so glad that the boys were able to recover from the traumatic Aurora experience.

I have to say, I love how you say things like "Landon didn't think it was fair, he only got to hear one song," and stuff like that... it always makes me laugh!

ALSO, I feel really dumb now for asking what escargot was. Because I totally knew the answer, but I guess I was temporarily confused because the picture made it look like a delicious bread roll! Hahah.

It wasn't easy, you know how scary princesses can be, especially when they try to smile and make friends with you. :scared1:

Thanks! Landon's a source of great inspiration to me. He's pretty funny. :rotfl:

Ah, no need to feel dumb! It really doesn't look like escargot when it's wrapped up in bread like that. I think they serve it that way so that people don't have to look at the snails before they eat them. Actually, it would have been better without the bread.

The expressions on the boy's faces as you guys are getting them out to meet Pooh and Tigger is priceless! I love how much they love these characters! Love the dancing picture....to cute!

Sounds like a great day!

I love that picture of them getting out to see the characters. They were so excited! It's so much fun taking them character meeting. Landon's a great dancer.

The food looks awesome. I was also disapointed with Karamel Kuche. I tried the popcorn which tasted the same as WDW popcorn to me.

Oh well. I guess the name makes it sound good and that's it.

It's so cute how the kids have this "character routine". They are becoming pros hehe

We tried so many great things that day! I've never had the popcorn at Karamel Kuche, but I do wonder if there's a lot of variation in it. Maybe if you get an older batch it's not as good. :confused3

The name and the smell, too. I love how that place smells.

Yeah, they're definitely becoming character pros. I like watching their little routines with the characters.

How sweet are the boys in that first picture! You can really see how excited they are! I won't judge the CMs for the picture posing too much, but I know what you mean. :goodvibes This does seem like a good way to bring an ending to a M&G, too. Watching quite a few of the "face" characters over the last couple of years, I've always seen it as their way to transition to goodbye from playing. KWIM? :confused3 I know my boys would love to spend days chatting with the characters sometimes! I'm loving how much Carter and Landon are getting into this character meeting though!

That ended up being one of my favorite pictures from the trip. I love how excited they get, although it is harder to get them out of the stroller when they're that eager. That makes a lot of sense. My boys would stay with the characters a long time and we try to make sure they don't take too long, but I bet taking a posed picture is a good way to get the line moving again. It'll be fun once Carter and Landon start talking to the characters, too. I can't wait to hear what they'll come up with.:rotfl:

Tigger and Pooh to the rescue! I think the boys just wanted to have a good character greet without any scary princesses around.

F&W is a great way to explore World Showcase, although I will admit, it's probably a nicer activity without little guys along. I hope you get to try it someday!

OMG! Landon looks so much older with his haircut! Of course, he's still as adorable as ever. It's pretty ridiculous of me that I got all teary-eyed about your baby getting his 1st haircut, right?!?

Both of the boys were both so well-behaved for the haircut, too. And that's so neat that y'all got the same CM for the haircut.

Very sweet update! :goodvibes

aww, how sweet! how old is Landon? I totally tried to convince my dh that Simon should have his first haircut in Disney World, but he didn't agree, and Simon still has long hair. We are Jewish and it's a custom (not too well known!) to grow a boy's hair until he is 3. We didn't do it with my 4 yr old but think we might with Simon!

Landon looks so handsome with his hair cut! He does look older, but judging by Carter's hair, I would bet that his curls come back as it grows out a bit!
His eyes do look incredibly blue after the cut too, so funny how something simple can change a baby into a child and give him a whole new look!

Awwww!! I got all teary reading this! Landon was so good and looks so proud. He is soo cute with his new cut and definitely looks so much older now! How awesome that you got the same CM for both first cuts, too. :thumbsup2

Wow, Landon really looks different with his hair cut... but definitely in a good way. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you were able to make it to the MK in time for Landon's reservation.

I don't know why, but I love reading about first haircuts at WDW. I think it's just a really sweet and happy event to have done inside Walt Disney World. And it amazes me how much the kids lose their baby looks once their hair is cut.
Landon's new haircut looks great, and I loved that Carter was so patient! I can also see a lot more resemblance to Carter now that Landon's hair is shorter.

Ok, so I was about a zillion updates behind, but I'm all caught up now!d

I agree that Landon's haircut makes him look very handsome! It really brings out his big blue eyes! He did such a great job with his haircut, I'm so happy that you had such a wonderful experience. :)

I loved Landon's flyaway curls, but he looks so handsome with his official Disney haircut! And those beautiful blue eyes! He will fo' sho' have the girls swooning in years to come!

That haircut made a huge difference for him, didn't it? I love how it turned out. Nope, not ridiculous! It's always sort of like that, hearing about other babies growing, isn't it?

I was really happy that the boys were good for the haircut. I think Landon really enjoyed it. I thought it was cool to get the same CM.

Landon was one and a half at the time of his first haircut. He really needed a haircut, too. His hair got tangled so easily when it was longer. I can't imagine letting him go until 3, but that's a neat custom. Simon could still get a first haircut at Disney World when he is three. Maybe he'd even enjoy it more, since he'd be older.

Thanks! Oddly enough, Landon's curls haven't came back as his hair grows out. His hair is very straight. It's kind of nice to have variety- one boy with brown curly hair and one boy with blonde straight hair.
It was incredible how different Landon looked! He looked like such a kid and not at all like a baby. It suited him, I thought.

Awwww!! I got all teary reading this! Landon was so good and looks so proud. He is soo cute with his new cut and definitely looks so much older now! How awesome that you got the same CM for both first cuts, too. :thumbsup2

Landon did great getting his haircut. I was proud of him, too, and I think he knew it. I couldn't believe how much older he looked. He grew up right before my eyes. Penny is great with little guys, so I was happy we got her again.

Wow, Landon really looks different with his hair cut... but definitely in a good way. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you were able to make it to the MK in time for Landon's reservation.

Totally different kid, right? I thought it was a good look for him.

I was really worried for a minute there. So much for making rope drop. :rotfl:

Awww, Landon is too cute with his haircut! :cool1: And he seemed like he was being so good while it was going on, I bet a lot of kids freak out! When I have a kid, they are definitely getting their first haircut at Disney!

Aww he looks just adorable with his haircut!! It really does bring out his eyes! How cool that you ended up with the same lady to cut his hair as well :goodvibes

Oh Kate....let me wipe away a few tears:sad2: He looks like a little boy now....who knew that a haircut could change a little boys look so much! He is just so handsome....:worship: Loved the update!!!

i think i'm about 39 pages behind and soemhow was able to resist when i saw the post above this one. i really want to go see the haircut but must use it as motivation to come and catch up. anyway, just wanted to say hello and a happy late birthday to your big three year old!

I love first haircuts at WDW, too. The CMs there do such a great job with little kids. They make it a very magical event. I can't imagine having my boys' first haircuts anywhere else.
Landon and Carter were both being so good for that haircut. I think Carter was sort of glad that it was Landon's turn and not his. They do look more alike with Landon's hair shorter.

Ok, so I was about a zillion updates behind, but I'm all caught up now!d

I think I'm a zillion updates behind on your TR, too. It's so hard to keep up lately!

Thanks! I love how he looks with his haircut. His hair was starting to get in his eyes, so it was definitely time. I think he really liked getting his haircut. He always likes having everyone pay attention to him. :rotfl:

I thought he looked good with the flyaways, but I loved how his Disney haircut turned out. He's pretty sure he's already got all the girls swooning! :rotfl:

AHHHH how precious! He could not be any cuter!

Thanks! I thought he ended up looking very cute.

Landon loved getting his haircut! He always likes for people to pay attention to him, so it was perfect for him. I'm sure a lot of kids do freak out. Penny had lots of Mickey stickers and toys, just in case. First haircuts at Disney are the best!

He is ADORABLE!!! And I love how you can see your reflection in the mirror in that first picture!

Thanks! I love that our reflections are in the mirror, too. Complete accident, but it turned out cool.

Aww he looks just adorable with his haircut!! It really does bring out his eyes! How cool that you ended up with the same lady to cut his hair as well :goodvibes

Thanks! I love how much his eyes show without any wispy curls getting in the way. It was really nice to have the same person for both of the boys' first haircuts.

Oh Kate....let me wipe away a few tears:sad2: He looks like a little boy now....who knew that a haircut could change a little boys look so much! He is just so handsome....:worship: Loved the update!!!

Welcome back! I'm glad you stopped by! I hope the haircut is motivating enough! I loved watching Landon get his haircut, so hopefully it will be fun to read about, too. Thanks, Carter had a great third birthday. He's old enough now to really understand his party. I made the mistake of buying his gifts in front of him and telling him they were his birthday gifts and he remembered exactly what he was getting. Next year, I'm shopping alone!
