An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Wandering MK, Philharmagic, and a ride on SM...sounds like a perfect afternoon...all the while with two sleeping babies:thumbsup2 Ya gotta love that!

What a great dinner, talking about your favorite Disney memories and possibly making new ones at the same time! I love moments at Disney like that! :cool1: And yay for Landon learning a new word, how cute! I really love LTT, I'd eat there on every trip, if I could!

:lovestruc the photo of Landon enjoying his dinner. His expression says, "Mom! Do you seriously have to document every freakin' moment of my life?!?!?!" And I can just about hear your expression answering, "Why, yes, Landon, as a matter of fact I do."

Walking down Disney memory lane is awesome...thanks for taking us along!

I can't believe I am just now finding your new TR! Just the other day I was wondering when you were going to start it. :rotfl:
I am all caught up and can't wait to read more.

Sounds like y'all had a really good meal - from the food to the singing to the Disney memories! Doesn't really get any better than that! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a great meal! I love their family style meal! I think Carter knew it was vacation and that the expectation to eat his meal prior to dessert was off the table and why fill up on food when you can fill up on yummy dessert? :lmao:

Awww, Baby Uga. That's just absolutely adorable. I love when little ones increase their vocabulary.

You're so right that family style restaurants are hilarious when you get food before other people do. It's so funny hearing people get all up in arms about it. I've heard something along the lines of that before as well.

What a great meal!! The boys were so cute exploring the stairs and peering out the window! It's so nice when they amuse themselves with little distraction (or harm ) to others!! :thumbsup2 I'm glad your food came out quickly! I had to :rotfl: at Landon's food picture!!! Too cute! My brother would look like that after eating ONE Hershey's kiss! :confused3 I don't know how they do it! What a great memory lane stroll you all had during dinner! That's the best thing to do when you're at Disney with the family! :goodvibes

The boys were so good at that meal! It's really ideal to have them going to dinner right after they've both been asleep for a long time. They were so cheerful and did so great while they were waiting.
We've always had really good luck with family style places being fast, with the one exception of Garden Grill. I always enjoy a messy picture of Landon. I don't know how he manages to look so cute with that much food on him. One Hershey Kiss for a toddler is probably the same as seven for an adult...so maybe that makes sense. It was really fun to think about all the good times we've had at Disney.

Great update! I love when something special happens at WDW; it just makes the place more magical. I'm sure years down the road when Carter and Landon hear Baby Beluga, you'll be able to tell them that fun story.

Liberty Tree Tavern sounds so nice. I really have to try it one day...

Thanks! It'll be fun to have that story to tell the boys someday. The only thing better than thinking of old Disney memories is making new Disney memories.

We'll always be very fond of Liberty Tree Tavern, since we've had so many good meals there. I hope you get to try it sometime!

That afternoon was so much fun! I was so glad the boys were able to get some sleep and we were able to do some riding.:goodvibes

I love Disney moments like that, too. Once you start making such great Disney memories, it's easy to want to come back again and again. Landon's new word was adorable! He has the cutest little voice. I'd love to eat at LTT every trip, too.

I bet I'll see that look quite a bit over the years, but that's okay. Landon really only has himself to blame...if he didn't look so cute covered in cheese, then I might not have had to take his picture.

We've had so many cool times at Disney and it was really fun to remember them all.

I can't believe I am just now finding your new TR! Just the other day I was wondering when you were going to start it. :rotfl:

:welcome: I'm glad you found it now! It's really not even that far into it yet, too, so that's good.

We all laughed. It was so cute to hear the boys singing, especially with Landon only doing the last note.

Hi Kate! I just love your trip reports so much. Thank you for taking the time.

This story reminded me of singing with my daughter Erin. She is 4 now but when she was less than 2, the first song she ever sang along with in the car was "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow". Yes, I was indoctrinating her with the "Where the Magic Lives" CD long before her first WDW trip. The song was playing and I was singing along and at the end of every "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow..." phrase, I would hear at perfectly timed "mah-low" coming from the car seat.

That will always be one of my favorite Disney moments and we were just driving in the car back and forth to daycare/work. I'm certain Carter's and Landon's sing-along will definitely make your "remember when" list in years to come.

Glad yall had an enjoyable dinner! The boys are so cute! :goodvibes

So, I'm gonna need to hear about the owl and Wishes! :rotfl: Was this like a planned thing or was it just a freak occurrence? Either way, it's sounds weird!

I'm sorry about Landon's head injury... I guess that's why they call them toddlers. At least it doesn't look like it was too bad.

I walked along that path that you mentioned, but didn't notice smokers... or whether it was a DSA now. :confused3 I hope it isn't though.

I love LTT... great food.:thumbsup2 I'm glad the boys were well behaved for your meal and thanks for sharing some Disney memories. I think it is a place that is special to pretty much everybody who comes to the DISboards and it is always fun to see some of the interesting memories people make there.

Those are memories that will last forever.
These days I find myself going a lot down memory lane.
My oldest will turn 17 during our vacation in December, I can not believe how fast time has fly.
Most of his childhood I have on videotape, I can sit and look for hours to that chubby baby that he used to be.
I wish sometimes that he was still that baby that I could cuddle the whole day:)

What a great meal and what fun remembering past trips and favorites.

We've so much fun in the past, we could have kept talking for hours. :rotfl: I love meals like that.

Sounds like y'all had a really good meal - from the food to the singing to the Disney memories! Doesn't really get any better than that! :thumbsup2

It was the perfect Disney dinner. The boys were so happy and the food was great and it seems like every time we eat at Liberty Tree Tavern, we have the best time.

Sounds like such a great meal and a fun time going down memory lane :goodvibes

I think that meal was one of the highlights of our trip this time. Disney memories are the best.

I love the family style meal, too. It always seems like we get our food faster, and it's nice for the boys to have plenty to eat without buying kids' meals. Carter probably did know it was vacation and he could get away with eating more dessert and less real food than usual. :rotfl:

I've loved hearing my boys start to say more and more. It's so interesting to hear what's on their minds and the pronunciation alone is so cute.

It was pretty funny to hear that guy at the other table complaining about it. He was so loud about it, too. I think they did get their food not too long after that, so that's nice.

Hi! I'm glad to hear from you. :)

That's so cute- your daughter singing along with "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow"! I can just imagine a little voice from the back seat singing perfectly. It's always good to indoctrinate your kids early with Disney things. I've always found that the boys seem to enjoy the attractions that they know the music to a little bit more.

Isn't it the best when Disney moments happen even at home? I'm sure we will remember Carter and Landon singing at Liberty Tree for many years now.

Glad yall had an enjoyable dinner! The boys are so cute! :goodvibes

So, I'm gonna need to hear about the owl and Wishes! :rotfl: Was this like a planned thing or was it just a freak occurrence? Either way, it's sounds weird!

Thanks! I was glad the boys were in such a great mood for dinner!

Wishes and the Owl...We were in Fantasyland, sitting between the carousel and Dumbo, watching Wishes. It's always an interesting view from there, since the fireworks go off in different directions.

Something large swooped over our heads and my first thought was a bat, but a bat could never be that big and we all realized it must be an owl. The owl perched on top of Timothy the Mouse, right in the middle of Dumbo and he stayed there throughout the rest of Wishes.

We spent the rest of Wishes gazing at the owl and wishing we had a camera to get a picture, which we didn't. It was cool and all, but it did seriously interrupt Wishes, because everyone was more interested in the owl.

I'm sorry about Landon's head injury... I guess that's why they call them toddlers. At least it doesn't look like it was too bad.

I walked along that path that you mentioned, but didn't notice smokers... or whether it was a DSA now. :confused3 I hope it isn't though.

It wasn't really too bad. I think it scared him and me more than anything else. It's not easy to learn to walk, I guess.

Maybe there was a huge public outcry and they moved the smoking area back to wherever it was before. That'd be nice.

We love LTT, too. It's one of our favorites. It seems like every time we eat there, it's special. Even the time we went there when Carter was a newborn and we had to take turns jiggling him to sleep was special. LTT does seem to encourage memory making.

Those are memories that will last forever.

Everyone says it goes by fast, but it hasn't for me yet. I bet it will speed up any day now and Carter will be turning 17, too.
It's nice that you have so much of his childhood on videotape. I don't take a lot of videos, but I bet they'd be nice to have later.
You know, I hear grandbabies are really nice for cuddling...:rotfl:

Kate, I'm so sorry you had such a hard time the night of the 40th with the crowds, the rude guests, etc. I certainly would have had a lot of sympathy for those CM's.

I was upset we missed the 40th by two days, but I told Mark that if we had been there, we probably would have gone to another park because I would not have wanted to deal with the crowds.

I hope the next day is a better day for all.

What a nightmare! Just reading about the crowds made me feel claustrophobic & anxious. :sad2: Glad y'all made it out of there safely. :thumbsup2

I'm surprised the fireworks for the 40th weren't different. I would've thought they'd do a completely different show to make it special.

Well, it's kind of cool that you can say you were there on the 40th... but wow. That would be miserable to be stuck in a crowd like that. I'm glad you guys made it out alive! :rotfl2:
