An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Oh poor Landon! :sad1: Chocolate doughnuts make everything better! :goodvibes Your dream really fooled me too! :rotfl:

It was sad when Landon fell, but at least we had chocolate doughnuts for him. I guess it was a fairly realistic dream.

i got so excited for you for that surprise with lobster and i felt so bad it was dream.

It would have been really cool if it had been real, though! I suppose a dream lobster is better than none at all.:rotfl:

You had me fooled with the small boat near the monorail. I was like "what did I miss?" :confused3
Hopefully your dream will come true and you can get a chance to dine at Narcoosses.
We are dining at Citricos on Dec 31st :goodvibes

I hate it too when I see something happening to my kids but I can not react fast enough. Thank God is was nothing serious!

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a secret small boat that no one knew about that could go exactly where you wanted to go?
I bet we'll make it to Narcoossee's someday, although lately I've been thinking of trying out Jiko the next time we get down there without the boys.
Citricos on NYE...that sounds wonderful! I hope you have a great time!

I was glad that Landon wasn't seriously hurt this time. It could have been much worse, falling onto the concrete.

Awww, what a nice dream to be having, even if you did have to be interrupted!

Poor Landon, I'm glad he was ok! :thumbsup2

I really didn't want to wake up from that dream, but I guess that's what happens with little kids.

I'm glad Landon was okay, too. He's very brave.

Sounds like y'all were off to a good start in MK! Did you find the crowds to be insane since it was for the 40th anniversary? Or was it like normal, busy time crowds?

Looking forward to hearing how y'all liked LTT. We enjoyed our dinner there this past May.

What a great afternoon! Great pics of the castle! :thumbsup2 I hear ya about the cigarette smoke! :headache: It drives me so crazy! Especially in a park filled with kids! Glad you got to go on Splash, though! I'm excited to hear about the special Wishes!! :goodvibes

Great castle photos! Swoon. Boo for the new smoking area. I'm always surprised when I smell cigarette smoke at Disney...it just seems like the two don't go together. :confused3

Pappy rocks! :rotfl:

It was a bit more crowded than a normal day in October would have been, but it wasn't too bad. At least not yet.

I love LTT. I still miss the characters, but even without them it's one of our favorites.

It was really nice to have the boys napping and be able to ride a couple rides with Jeremy. Thanks, I love Castle pictures. Wouldn't it be great if there was only one smoking area in the park? Sort of like how there's only one Baby Care Center.

Pappy rocks! :rotfl:

Thanks! I always love seeing the Castle. I don't think Disney and cigarette smoke go together, either. Of course, I really don't understand the allure of smoking at all. It's expensive, odious to others, and may be fatal. Where's the fun?

I know! Pappy's the coolest!:cool2:

Little kids on stairs always make me nervous! What are the odds of catching that on video? I'm glad you don't actually remember it. I'd hate for Landon to remember falling on the stairs forever. He's recovering nicely so far. There's a very faint pink spot where he hit his head, but I think it will fade eventually.

I have no clue how they managed to capture that special moment... but I've seen it a million times! :rotfl: I'm so glad Landon doesn't have a scar!

Okay so I have to say, those are some of the best castle pictures I've ever seen! Awesome job!

That tongue picture made me laugh out loud.

Yay for Splash!!! What a great ride. Looking forward to hearing about LTT, for some reason that seems to be one of those restaurants I never consider going to but it always looks so good!

Sounds sort of like one of those America's Funniest Home Videos. :rotfl: I'm sure Landon will end up with plenty of scars before he's grown, since he's a little daredevil, but at least his head will be scar-free for a while.

Thanks! I always take way too many pictures of the Castle, but it's great when some of them turn out nice.

Wouldn't you think with the Castle right there, that would have made a better subject?

I love going on Splash Mountain. We never get on it enough now that we have the boys, but I think Carter's getting closer to 40 inches.:yay: I love LTT! I don't know if everyone would like it, but it suits us.

Kate, great start to your MK day. You got great photos on the boat ride over and also of the Halloween decorations and the castle.

I love Splash Mountain, but Mark doesn't like getting wet so we don't do it as often as I would like.

I'm glad you guys got to ride splash mountain! I'm a wuss and I always wear my poncho so I don't get wet. I always feel very smug when everyone around me gets drenched, but then very silly when I don't even get splashed.

I wish there was a way to tell which one of the two it is going to be before you get on the ride.

Looking forward to hearing about Liberty Tree!

Your pictures of the castle are beautiful! :lovestruc

Aww, Philharmagic! Love that show!

Ugh, I can't stand that there is a smoking section on that wooden path in Fronteirland. I love that path too, and now I have to run through half of it instead of taking my time. I really wish smoking wasn't allowed in the parks. Or that the smoking sections were really off to the side, where no one walks by. Oh well.

Glad you got to go on Splash! I've been so nervous about the front row, ever since we got soaked last November! :rotfl:

Yay for splash mountain! Glad your MK day is off to a great start!

40th Anniversary day was our last full day at the world. Fearful of the crowds with Nick walking this trip we headed to downtown. Bummed we missed it too though.

LTT is one of our all time favs!

Lovin the pics! This has to be my favorite time of year to be at WDW. It's gorgeous! :thumbsup2

Isn't that smoking area one of the worst?? I'm in the group that would support no smoking at all in the parks. Today would be my mother's 49th birthday if not for that stuff. :sad2: We never walk along that path, and it would be such a nice way to go, too.

Can't wait to read about LTT!

There is that great "story telling" ability again....awesome update my girl!

Poor Landon, isn't that always the way...but a chocolate donut always makes me feel better too:lmao: Can't wait to hear all about your evening!

Hi, I've been following along and read another tr of yours. The kids are so cute. I have a 2.5 year old and we live in SoCal and have annual passes to Disneyland. We're planning a trip to WDW next October.
I love the details in your reports and hearing the logistics with strollers and would-be stroller escapees, and the playground visits. Since I've been going with my little one, I've visited things I've never spent any time on before. It's definitely a different trip, but it makes me to appreciate the parks in a new way.
I can totally relate to the stolen nap moments on Main Street. When I have my son there by myself, sometimes nap moments are the ones where I get a second to appreciate not only the sites, but all the wonderful moments with my son that maybe my hands were too full to really pause for before. Plus, there is that whole thing where they all look like angels when they sleep.
And I love the interaction with your husband. He's always saying the right thing. Would he consider giving classes? Kidding, almost entirely. :-)

We were having a lot of fun at MK so far. It was a really beautiful day, and everything looked wonderful.:)

I agree with both of you! I love Splash Mountain and I hate getting wet. It shouldn't be possible, really. :rotfl:

We had the best time of Splash Mountain. Touring with the boys always makes me appreciate the moments when we're alone again. I think wearing a poncho on Splash Mountain is a great idea. We usually only bring ponchos with us if I feel there is a good chance for rain.

Maybe they need Green side and Orange side for Splash Mountain, just like Mission Space. On Green side, you'd never get wet and on Orange side, you'd always get wet.

Your pictures of the castle are beautiful! :lovestruc

Thanks! I love walking right next to the Castle.

Me, too! It's my favorite of all the 3D shows.

I wish they had put that smoking area somewhere else. That path was the best. I guess the upside is that they seem to move the smoking areas so frequently, that it might be gone soon. I think no smoking in the parks seems fair.

I don't usually like the front row, either. We usually wait for the last row, where it's relatively safe, but they were already backed up and I didn't want to make things worse.

Yay for splash mountain! Glad your MK day is off to a great start!

I love going on Splash Mountain! I can't wait until Carter is tall enough for it.

Downtown Disney on the 40th sounds like a really smart idea to me. We should have done the same.

It's one of our favorites, too! :)

Thanks! I did really like the fall at WDW. The decorations were cool and the weather was perfect.

I agree, that one is one of the worst, maybe even the worst. I don't think smoking areas should be in a place that innocent bystanders would walk through accidentally. I'm sorry about your mother.

We love LTT! :lovestruc

Thank you! I love telling Disney stories. :)

I felt sorry for Landon getting hurt, but he recovered very nicely with his donut. He's very resilient.

Hi! Welcome! I've never been to Disneyland, but I've always had high hopes for it. Maybe someday. October is such a great time to visit WDW!

There's actually quite a bit involved with touring Disney World with strollers and little boys who don't want to ride in them. :rotfl: Before we had kids, I never thought I'd be taking so many Disney trips when my kids were so little, but it's pretty fun to do with them, even though it is so different.

I love it when they stroller nap at Disney! It's so nice to have a minute to slow down and really enjoy the moment. I don't know how they manage to look so cute when they're sleeping, but they sure do.

Jeremy does always know just what to say. He says it's a gift. :rotfl:

Here I am. I'm starting to read now ;)

Welcome! I'm glad you're here!:goodvibes

What a great meal!! The boys were so cute exploring the stairs and peering out the window! It's so nice when they amuse themselves with little distraction (or harm ) to others!! :thumbsup2 I'm glad your food came out quickly! I had to :rotfl: at Landon's food picture!!! Too cute! My brother would look like that after eating ONE Hershey's kiss! :confused3 I don't know how they do it! What a great memory lane stroll you all had during dinner! That's the best thing to do when you're at Disney with the family! :goodvibes

Great update! I love when something special happens at WDW; it just makes the place more magical. I'm sure years down the road when Carter and Landon hear Baby Beluga, you'll be able to tell them that fun story.

Liberty Tree Tavern sounds so nice. I really have to try it one day...
