Kate, great start to your MK day. You got great photos on the boat ride over and also of the Halloween decorations and the castle.
I love Splash Mountain, but Mark doesn't like getting wet so we don't do it as often as I would like.
We were having a lot of fun at MK so far. It was a really beautiful day, and everything looked wonderful.
I agree with both of you! I love Splash Mountain and I hate getting wet. It shouldn't be possible, really.
I'm glad you guys got to ride splash mountain! I'm a wuss and I always wear my poncho so I don't get wet. I always feel very smug when everyone around me gets drenched, but then very silly when I don't even get splashed.
I wish there was a way to tell which one of the two it is going to be before you get on the ride.
Looking forward to hearing about Liberty Tree!
We had the best time of Splash Mountain. Touring with the boys always makes me appreciate the moments when we're alone again. I think wearing a poncho on Splash Mountain is a great idea. We usually only bring ponchos with us if I feel there is a good chance for rain.
Maybe they need Green side and Orange side for Splash Mountain, just like Mission Space. On Green side, you'd never get wet and on Orange side, you'd always get wet.
Your pictures of the castle are beautiful!
Aww, Philharmagic! Love that show!
Ugh, I can't stand that there is a smoking section on that wooden path in Fronteirland. I love that path too, and now I have to run through half of it instead of taking my time. I really wish smoking wasn't allowed in the parks. Or that the smoking sections were really off to the side, where no one walks by. Oh well.
Glad you got to go on Splash! I've been so nervous about the front row, ever since we got soaked last November!
Thanks! I love walking right next to the Castle.
Me, too! It's my favorite of all the 3D shows.
I wish they had put that smoking area somewhere else. That path was the best. I guess the upside is that they seem to move the smoking areas so frequently, that it might be gone soon. I think no smoking in the parks seems fair.
I don't usually like the front row, either. We usually wait for the last row, where it's relatively safe, but they were already backed up and I didn't want to make things worse.
Yay for splash mountain! Glad your MK day is off to a great start!
40th Anniversary day was our last full day at the world. Fearful of the crowds with Nick walking this trip we headed to downtown. Bummed we missed it too though.
LTT is one of our all time favs!
I love going on Splash Mountain! I can't wait until Carter is tall enough for it.
Downtown Disney on the 40th sounds like a really smart idea to me. We should have done the same.
It's one of our favorites, too!
Lovin the pics! This has to be my favorite time of year to be at WDW. It's gorgeous!
Isn't that smoking area one of the worst??

I'm in the group that would support no smoking at all in the parks. Today would be my mother's 49th birthday if not for that stuff.

We never walk along that path, and it would be such a nice way to go, too.
Can't wait to read about LTT!
Thanks! I did really like the fall at WDW. The decorations were cool and the weather was perfect.
I agree, that one is one of the worst, maybe even the worst. I don't think smoking areas should be in a place that innocent bystanders would walk through accidentally. I'm sorry about your mother.
We love LTT!
There is that great "story telling" ability again....awesome update my girl!
Poor Landon, isn't that always the way...but a chocolate donut always makes me feel better too
Can't wait to hear all about your evening!
Thank you! I love telling Disney stories.
I felt sorry for Landon getting hurt, but he recovered very nicely with his donut. He's very resilient.
Hi, I've been following along and read another tr of yours. The kids are so cute. I have a 2.5 year old and we live in SoCal and have annual passes to
Disneyland. We're planning a trip to WDW next October.
I love the details in your reports and hearing the logistics with strollers and would-be stroller escapees, and the playground visits. Since I've been going with my little one, I've visited things I've never spent any time on before. It's definitely a different trip, but it makes me to appreciate the parks in a new way.
I can totally relate to the stolen nap moments on Main Street. When I have my son there by myself, sometimes nap moments are the ones where I get a second to appreciate not only the sites, but all the wonderful moments with my son that maybe my hands were too full to really pause for before. Plus, there is that whole thing where they all look like angels when they sleep.
And I love the interaction with your husband. He's always saying the right thing. Would he consider giving classes? Kidding, almost entirely.
Hi! Welcome! I've never been to Disneyland, but I've always had high hopes for it. Maybe someday. October is such a great time to visit WDW!
There's actually quite a bit involved with touring Disney World with strollers and little boys who don't want to ride in them.

Before we had kids, I never thought I'd be taking so many Disney trips when my kids were so little, but it's pretty fun to do with them, even though it is so different.
I love it when they stroller nap at Disney! It's so nice to have a minute to slow down and really enjoy the moment. I don't know how they manage to look so cute when they're sleeping, but they sure do.
Jeremy does always know just what to say. He says it's a gift.
Here I am. I'm starting to read now
Welcome! I'm glad you're here!
