An open letter to Mickey, Minnie and Gang- LAST UPDATE ON APRIL

Dear Mickey and gang,
Normally I would not ask for special favors but I had to try to get a message to you and know that you read this board every so often - I also know that your jobs are so time consuming making sure everyone who's lives you touch, especially the children, are made to feel so special - In all of the years that each of you have been around, you have never failed to bring smiles to those you reach out to.
Now I have a very special request - I just found out today from a travel agent friend of mine who called to tell me about a little girl by the name of April who is going to be on the Wonder this Sunday - this cruise had to be planned right now since she has very little time left of her young life -- she is 6 years old and was in first grade until this terminal disease hit her --I understand she was a smile that would melt a heart - Her only dream has been to meet and talk with you Mickey and your sweetheart Minnie and if it wasn't too much "the gang" also- I understand she wants to tell you something - If you have extra time, can you go by and see her - she will be in room 7594 with her mama, daddy and sister. I realize this is short notice and just maybe there won't be extra time to do so, but if you do, I know that what she has wished for - will become a reality for her.
I want to thank you for reading this and possibly maybe give her an extra hug to keep that smile glowing.

ps. My friend called me over this little girl and also what her wish was - she has no idea that this board exist or that I am asking this for April. I do not know anything about this little girl, BUT I do know my friend - I know she is a very upstanding lady in our community.

Hi Andy,
thank you so much for your wish to help - as I said I do not know anything about this little girl - I just know her parents wanted to wait another couple of weeks and they were advised to do it this weekend - it was hard getting them on, but my girlfriend kept trying until she was able to book them just a yesterday - from what I understand her parents had to make a number of trips to make sure all her medical records were turned in - I believe that was completed today - I do not know if she will be able to get around to see Mickey and Minnie as she has wished - I understand this has been her dream wish - so thought ok just maybe they could stop by, visit for a few minutes and then she can realize her wish.
Normally I do not post this type of message and I suppose this is not the place for it, but didn't know where else to post so if it can be moved to where it will be seen by M&M, please feel free to do .
so . I have no doubts that many children have chosen this cruise as there wishes but this is the first time I have dealt with a child wanting to meet M&M as their last wish - Guess being a child, I have been very torn over this since I heard this afternoon -

Here I was feeling sorry for myself tonight,, bad bad day at preschool.. the new sprinkler system is leaking everywhere, Jay's new glases make him blurry eyed.. and yes his lab tests once again were not what we had hoped... lots and lots of... yelling/screaming/anguish
things being said no one means here tonight.

HOWEVER!!!! you help put things in perspective! My son is happy and healthy and anything I can do I always will to help make someone else (who is deserving ) a magical moment.

And, like Ann, I was whining about my day today....I'm fat around the middle, roofer hasn't called me, furniture not delivered, delay on the sun room again, had to have AAA jump the van again, couldn't get to the market and pick up my favorite bread, lasagna was too watery.....

WHO CARES about this stuff!?!?!?

Thank you for the emails wanting to help this little girl - this isn't what I posted this for - she is just wanting to 'talk" with Mickey and Minnie -I just pray that she will out live her cruise so that she will have her wish come true - I wanted Mickey and Minnie to know that this little girl, in all her trials and tribulations, wants to spend a little time with them even if only for 5 minutes. I, myself, wanted to do something, but my girlfriend told me that whatever I sent, would not be what she wanted - I will post when I hear further tomorrow - Thanks again for the offers, but not this time.
Lets just keep bumping this up until Saturday ok

In the meantime, count on constant bumps to keep you up at the front. And a heart full of prayer that such a simple wish can come true.

Thank you for the outpour of love for this little girl - as I said I do not know anything about her except what I posted - I will be calling my girlfriend this morning to tell her that I did post this request - I know that this little girl will get her wish if she does make the trip - I will let you know what I learn - there is no gifts to give - just let her be comfortable enough to enjoy her wish - whenever we become so compliant with life, we are jotted down to our toenails that life is so precious especially of a child's - we are never too busy, we are never too overwhelmed not to look at our children, regardless how old they are, and feel blessed that even tho they can drive us nuts, how loved we are by them.
