An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

That's awesome that you started your exercise program. Good job.

When you're out running and it hurts, and you're wondering "why am I doing this?" Go through that list of reasons in your mind. You'll also probably be able to add another 20 or 30. Seriously.

The weather just turned really nice here, but I'm not out running. :sad2: I had a meeting that went halfway through lunch, and I need to leave early. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm using wahooty a lot myself thanks to GB!
Then my work here is done. :darth:

I think I've figured out your ADR challenge. (Of course I'll probably forget to actually post an answer.)

Oh, and I like your creative plumbing technique. :thumbsup2

And congrats on the exercise. Whenver I feel the urge to lose weight, I just go get a haircut. Instant gratification my friend. Looking forward to more clues.

i cant believe you started c25k today, i wish you lived here. me and 4 girlfriends are heading to the park to walk in one hour(shhhh....i have downloaded the c25k program and want to trick them into it) i really want to run a 1/2 at disney some day, but i am just not a runner. i can walk like a champ but running:eek:
wish me luck and i would love to hear your progress

Ohh, I like this game! I so know the answer for the first one and I narrowed it down to 2 for the second round. I might actually get one of your games right.:lmao:
Hope your neck is feeling better. Congrats on deciding to get more in shape. You can do it! You'll feel much better with yourself and be happy with the end result.:goodvibes
Basketball in the toilet?!?! :scared1: I was close to needing one. We had a huge backup with a broken pipe or something and the plumbing company wanted me to wait 10 days. Um, manager please. I got the whole thing fixed today. Mickey won't like the bill, however.:guilty:

So wait, when do we start guessing? I fear I'm going to fall behind on this guessing game you've created :sad2:

Replies coming soon! First coffee, hubby out the door, and kids up and working- then DISsing! Unfortunately, I lost another hour of play time from ya'll in the States with stupid daylight saving time. By the time I"m up at 9:00 and can come out to play, it's already 11:00 on the East Coast. Boo!

Thanks, Glenn! Awesome as it is, I think I may need to call an ambulance to help me move today. A stretcher might be helpful. :sad2: So, it is supposed to hurt when you're NOT running? :confused3

yeah, a reason of the day. Actually I already have a long antithesis list of these. One reason NOT to, for every reason to. :rotfl2:

Sorry, you're so busy lately! I miss you posting as much.

Glad you are "getting it"! Don't forget the 31st is your deadline :)

HA! I wish I had enough hair to cut. I swear, I'm going to need a wig before too long. It falls out by the handfuls... :guilty:

I'd love to run with other people, but I can barely breathe, let alone talk when I run/walk. I can see a cup of coffee afterwards would be highly motivating to me though!!! :thumbsup2

That's the way. Just hang on for the rest of the clues, and they'll fall into place! Easy peasy!

My neck was feeling pretty good, until this morning- maybe I overdid it yesterday. :confused3

Uh-oh! From someone who knows, I feel your plumbing pain!! Good thing someone could help sooner than later!

So wait, when do we start guessing? I fear I'm going to fall behind on this guessing game you've created :sad2:

NOT until all the clues are in. 5 more to go. Don't worry, just keep a litte piece of scratch paper handy, and narrow things down as you get them. You won't fall behind, guesses aren't due until the end of the month. :goodvibes

I know what it feels like when you would finally be able to get outside to run weatherwise and then you just can't find the time... How does running at lunch work? I have read that people do that, but I might be stupid, but I just can't figure out how you organize it. Do you have a changing room and showers at work?

But won't you be soon gaining more time with me? We change over to summer time last weekend in March and then my 9 am will be what is 8 am now. So that would be around your lunch time??

Did you book your flights? Didn't you mention booking tickets yesterday? I assume those were plane tickets?? So do we have fixed dates for the Nuremberg DISmeet? When I can tell you all about Strudel and Brezen? :goodvibes

Katharina pointed out yesterday that Strudel is spelled with an e, but just one e and that's between the d and the l... :rolleyes1

I sure nuff did!!! :yay: But only about half the time. Mike comes home about half the time, and usually wants to talk or catch up on work stuff. So, the other lunch hours the kids play and I play too. ;) So, yeah, sounds about right!

WE DID!!! I need to post that!! But for brevity's sake and a sneak peek, here's how we stand. We arrive in Frankfurt am Main at 6:35 AM on August 17th! Which is so totally cool, cuz I think we can get onto a train by 8:30 or 9:00. We'll have to do customs, passport control, check our luggage into short term storage, where they'll take our right thumbs and possibly our 3rd born child, find the platform and the train, hopefully get on the right one, go the right direction and be on our way. Phew. I'm already tired, but terribly excited!!! Can you imagine the TR possibilities???!!! :woohoo:

Our outgoing flight leaves at 5:00 PM on the 19th, so we'll have 2 FULL days and 2 FULL nights in Nuremberg. I think we'll have to leave there no later than 11:00 or so to make it (2 hour train, 2 hour check-in, retrieval of our bags minus 1 daughter as payment, and walk 4 miles to our terminal).

So, there ya have it. I'll do a separate post soon!

I saw that!! and thought it was terribly funny!! Especially about the way it's spelled in wherever it was. :lmao::lmao::lmao: I always wondered why Slovak languages go without vowels most of the time. I mean, please!! pick one to throw in there-- seriously, ANY will do!!! I've tried so many times to learn Russian here, and it's just simply NO use!!! :teacher: I can't even pronounce "hello" due a seriously long string of consonants all thrown together!! My househelper practically laughs her hiney off every time I try to pronounce the difference between 8 and 9. It was hysterical- and I gave up. I don't need it anyway. :lmao:

I really do hope I'll be able to take some days off and to join you in Nuremberg. I already made a note to talk to my boss...

well... don't get me started, I studied Western Slavonic linguistis at university...

I don't know so much about Russian, but of course there are many smilarities for all Slavonic languages: they don't need so many vowels, because R and L are so called syllabic consonants. The R is pronounced with the top of the tongue - quite difficult for Americans I guess. There is a famous Czech sentence without any vowels at all: Strč prst skrz krk, which means: stick your finger through your throat (something you don't usually need everyday...).

We can continue with the lecture when we meet in August ;)

OH!!! Me TOOOOOO!!! Just tell your boss that I'm a tourist in need of Bavarian help!! He or she will certainly understand!! :rotfl2:

No, only once or twice a month or so. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yes, there is a changing room with lockers for your clothes and showers. Also, there is a paved path through a wooded area around the buildings. So, I change clothes, run for about 25 minutes, come back and shower and return to my office and eat lunch while I get caught back up.

I used to work in more of an urban setting and running outside was not an option, unless you found yourself in an dangerous area and it became a necessity. :scared1:

Great!! I will note the dates in my calendar then! Getting a train any time after 8:30 shouldn't be a problem. FRA has a central bagage claim place and by the time you make your way there, your bags should be arriving soon. I have never seen really long lines at passport control at any German Airport, so that shouldn't take too much time and customs is a breeze: If you have nothing to declare you just leave bagage claim through the green channel and you are all set. When I lived in Frankfurt I often made it from touch down and on to the local train within 30 minutes.

But I think you already know that - you have already been in Frankfurt in the city... So you know the airport...

And I am glad that you get two FULL nights! Half nights would mess up your get lag even more... ;)

Good Evening Liesa! I thought I posted last night, but I guess not :confused3

Good for you on the fitness regime!:thumbsup2 I've just started my own quest for a healthier body - and my reasons sound a lot like yours. Its annoying when you tell people that you are starting a diet or new workout and they look at you funny and say, "Why? You're not overweight" I know, I'm not overweight - but the weight I do have is entirely mush! And I'm WEAK! Scott thought it was just hi-larious that I was sore for days after we went bowling. Okay, I know that's pretty funny.:goodvibes Anyway - I just feel like I need to be taking better care of myself. And yes, a big motivator is our looming (well, not so looming - I have six months;)) WDW trip. I want to have a lot of energy and not get a backache from carrying a 1.5 pound baggalini! So, I'm with ya! I have cut back on the cookies (I would have cut them out entirely, but it is Girl Scout cookie season) and started working out everday. Some days I do a workout dvd at home, some days I walk, and I've gone to Zumba at the gym a few times. I've only been doing this for about 3 weeks, but I am already feeling a little stronger! Now, can I keep it up - that is the question!

Hey All,

Just off to bed after that stinking, arduous process of updating my blog. Sheesh! :sad2: Anyway, it's there for the taking for those who read. :goodvibes

I'll respond to you all tomorrow morning- have a super-duper day!

Liesa

OK now I'm back and need to figure out how to play your little game.. I know I am way behind but playing is fun. :3dglasses

So what have I messed over the last 2 weeks? :confused3popcorn::
