Welcome, Welcome, One and All to the first round of ADR Combat. A game used to fill up the far too long of time we have left until our trip.
Today's the Big Day for us. It's a day many DISer's anticipate with many mixed feelings; excitement, dread (of not getting the perfect time), relief, and ichy fingers all rolled into a few short moments of time. Whether made online or with a real, live CM, Disney planning fanatics all over the world will be doing the same thing every day of the year when it's their turn. We are but one statistic feeling the same mixed bag of emotions. Will we get the times we want?? What if Plan A doesn't pan out?? It has happened. What do you mean it's closed on XXX, 19th? What if we can only get an ADR 2 hours off our requested time?? Will our plan still work out??
Here's how our game is going to work:
I'll name the place of our first TS restaurant we are trying score a table at. I'll also give the time we are hoping to get it for. And the number of diners.
With that information, your job is to guess one of 3 things. Did we get it:
A) Right on time (EXACTLY)
B) Earilier than we were shooting for
OR
C) Later than we were shooting for
Your guess should be earlier or later, even if you think it's 5 minutes off. I'll keep score as always and we'll see who has the best luck. Trust me, it should be a whole lot easier than Fantasy Football. Everyone should have a fair chance of getting at least some of them. To make it interesting I'll post when we give the answer what I"m planning on ordering, or if I can't decide, I'll get your suggestions.
So here we go...
The first place I'll eat at (maybe- this in one of the maybe's on my solo days that I may ditch if the funds don't come through.) is
Hollywood Brown Derby
We are asking for 6:40 PM. I figure I can still get to an 8:30 showing of F! with this time. No dining package- just want the salad, and maybe dessert. More on what I'll order later.
It is for 1 person. Just little ol' me.
So, give your guess... HBD, 6:40, 1 person.
As a side note, you are NOT going to believe what I'm watching on TV as I"m typing this up!!!!!!

One of the national sports here is a type of polo game played with horses, riders and a dead sheep!!! They toss the sheep or goat from player to player and try to make a goal with it. Several years ago, we had some friends who lived in a village, and they had the yearly game played. According to tradition, when the game is over they take the "well tenderized" goat or sheep to someone's house, knock on the door and that "honored person" is supposed to cook the best meal they can with it. For this particular game the players all chose THEM to drop the sheep at. They were obligated to cook it and provide the meal!!!
Everyone enjoyed the postgame party together. Just thought I'd share that with you. I'd never seen one televised before. Bekka is telling me that she saw a game of it played on our own town square last Nauruz. That holiday is coming up in a couple weeks; maybe I"ll get a chance to get some video for you all. Doesn't that sound exciting???!!
