An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

I saw. I figured it was a little embarrassing, so I didn't want to say anything. It was cute -- "Just 'Cause" vs. "Just Cause".

It was even more embarrassing being a military spouse! :sad2:

HA!! We're not talking melons are we?? :lmao::lmao:

I wish! Maybe grapefruit?

Is all that running jostling more than just your apples?? ;)

I think so!! Seriously. I can't tell you how many PTRs and TRs I have embarrassed myself on the past few days. I blame it on a lack of oxygen to the brain.

Hallo!

Glad you figured it out!;)

Me too. That could make for another embarrassing situation if I hadn't. :upsidedow

OK! Dear Ladies and Gents-

Park hours are out, and I finally have my hot little hands on them. I must bow out for a day or so, while I give my schedule the love and fondling it needs.

THIS IS A TRIP THAT NEEDS CAREFUL CARESSING FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!!

They did a huge 1-2- Switcharoo on us and the MNSSHP is on a WEDNESDAY not the Tuesday!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

There goes our one and only shot at an AK EMH (PM)

I'll check in tomorrow- meantime my spreadsheet and Anne (from the Green Gable Estate) are beckoning me. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

I"ll make sure to wave! Actually, we are thinking we may spend a night in Germany so we can see Neuschwanstein Castle. We've wanted to see every time, but it just hasn't ever worked out. Wanna play tour guide for a day??:confused3 Then I could get 3 DISMeets before me trip. Imagine! Nashville AND DC AND Germany!!!

That would be fun to meet you here in Germany! :goodvibes I have actually never been to Neuschwanstein... :rolleyes1 But are you aware that it is 450 km from Frankfurt Airport? I understand that compared to Stan and Oregon it is still pretty close, but it would be at least 4.5 hours by car, 6 hours by train. :confused3

I've been to Neuschwanstein - about 20 years ago! I could be the tour guide, id you take me along :goodvibes

Okay, it would be 6 hours by train but the train would be highspeed, clean, comfortable seats....

Oh yes, that's what I was meaning to post as well: I can promise no melons on any trains here!! :thumbsup2 German trains are actually pretty great. ::yes::

Ah, poop!! I seriously didn't realize it was so far!! I'm going to have to rethink this plan. Maybe we should just sightsee in Frankfurt again and sample lovely pastries and sausages. :thumbsup2

We need to make our decision this weekend, and will definitely let you know what we do. Obviously, we would love to have you come along and help us!! And the best part would be that we would make a new face-to-face friend! :yay:

A train with clean "seats"!?? It's almost too good to be true!!! :lmao:

OK, I"m going to pass this all along to my DH, and we'll decide if a 6 hour trip just to get there would be worth it. If we only have 24 hours there, and 12 of it was more travel- I'm thinking he may not be so into it. :confused3

Prelim. Meet Planning- D.C.

OK!! I need your input!

If we were to Meet up in DC or in the general area (Virginia, Maryland,???) which night would be better??

Aug. 31st- A Tuesday

OR

Sept. 1st- A Wednesday

I'm thinking meeting up around 7:00 for dinner somewhere would be a good plan. That way those who need to work can still get most or all of a day in at the office. People could feel free to stick around or move to somewhere else for a change of scenery or??

I am NOT the one to plan the place, but someone suggested Tyson's Corner- which I know won't be very far from where my sis lives.

Let's hear your input now. And most of all- let's hear about WHO'S IN??!!

Do you mean Tuesday, August 31st and Wednesday, Sept 1??

Because we have you staying in Disney on Sept 2.

At this point I'm planning on it. Either day would be fine, but would lean towards Tuesday. I'd probably take a vacation day, so could get there earlier than 7.

Good afternoon Liessa or whatever time it is in Blankistan!!!:rotfl2:How about "Jiggle Jugs ":rotfl2:

Have to go check September Hours !!! But ...our furnace isn't working and that could be a Disney trip!!:scared1::sad2:

YAY for hours but
:scared1: for no AK EMH? How is that even possible if you are there for 10 days?

I'm not such a huge fan of Frankfurt...:rolleyes1 If you have only 24 hours Neuschwanstein might be really too far away. But there are some nice places much closer, maybe not as famous as Neuschwanstein... I'm sure Flossbolna and I would by happy to give you some ideas. Especially Flossbolna, as she lived in Frankfurt for some time.

Great deal on airline tickets.
No EMH at AK? I have always wanted to be there at night but there is never EMH when I'm there. I think it would be so cool to explore there at night.
Those masks are so pretty! I think a pin is much better then an actual one, price tag wise. I'll take pictures of little goodies in America for you in May.
Those pearls are gorgeous! I had no idea Japan had that. I'm learning so much about Disney from this thread.:lovestruc

YAY for hours but
:scared1: for no AK EMH? How is that even possible if you are there for 10 days?

No AK Evening EMH because the only night they have it is on Wednesday - and that is the same night as the MNSSHP. :(

I am really sad about that! Most of my trips are over a weekend and don't include a Wednesday, so I have been waiting for a while to catch one.

I actually have half a mind to do the AK PM EMH and meet them at the MNSSHP??? But I don't want to miss the fun! popcorn::

Unless by D.C. you mean Austin, then I don't think my vote really mattes!

Can't wait to hear how he meet goes though!

it would be great to see you here in Germany! Neuschwanstein really is a very special sight, so it might be worth the hassle. Otherwise Nuremberg is only two hours by train from Frankfurt and Heidelberg or Cologne aren't so far either.

Yes! YES!!! That's what I meant!! So sorry for the confusion- Obviously there was a massive brain burrito happening there.

:woohoo:I'll be at the POP on the 2nd- YEEHAW, BABY!!! :woohoo:

At this point I'm planning on it. Either day would be fine, but would lean towards Tuesday. I'd probably take a vacation day, so could get there earlier than 7.

GREAT, you're the first taker!! Who else said they might come??

Tim??
JenBear??

Come on, guys!!! Let's go BIG on this!!

Good afternoon Liessa or whatever time it is in Blankistan!!!:rotfl2:How about "Jiggle Jugs ":rotfl2:

Have to go check September Hours !!! But ...our furnace isn't working and that could be a Disney trip!!:scared1::sad2:

That'll work Rosie!!

NO furnace?? Those don't come cheap, so I hope it doesn't stand in the way of you using those miles for a trip in Sept.!!! :guilty:

YAY for hours but
:scared1: for no AK EMH? How is that even possible if you are there for 10 days?

Yeah, that really stinks!! Seems like we're there a lot of days, but sadly only one Wednesday. So, after monkeying around with the schedule all morning, it is still what it is. NO other AK PM EMH. :headache:

I'm not such a huge fan of Frankfurt...:rolleyes1 If you have only 24 hours Neuschwanstein might be really too far away. I need to do some more internet research. My DH insists he remembers there being a castle closer in to Frankfurt- not quite as spectacular, but a castle nonetheless. Our kids may never get another chance for a very, very long time to see something even remotely close to a European castle. :confused3

I'll PM you for some other things to do closer in.

Great deal on airline tickets.

Super!! I really need more ideas (OK, ANY ideas) for the American Pav. I totally stumped!

I'm really bummed about losing our PM EMH at AK!! I had really looked forward to that!

No AK Evening EMH because the only night they have it is on Wednesday - and that is the same night as the MNSSHP. :(

That is totally a good idea, as we'll be hitting another one up earlier. :thumbsup2 But since LeeAnn is only getting to one, it wouldn't be fair to her to miss half of it.

Unless by D.C. you mean Austin, then I don't think my vote really mattes!

Can't wait to hear how he meet goes though!

I think it's going to be a super fun meet!! We'll be sure to take loads of pix!!

I have amazing memories from Koln!!! That cathedral was my very favorite of all the dozens of them I saw on my high school European tour. The stained glass in that one especially is breathtaking!!! How far is that one by train?

Count me in! That is, if I lived in the states  Have fun you guys! Take pictures!!!!
