An Instagrammable and Dole Whippy 4th of July Trip Report!**UPDATED 3/4

I hope Corey wasn't too embarrassed at ETWB! I definitely want to try LeFou's Brew, it looks nice and refreshing (since there's no beer at MK, haha).

We went on the riverboat last time we were at DL and it was quite lovely in the evening. I guess it would be pretty hot mid-day!

Looking forward to hearing about LTT.

So right after our riverboat adventure we checked into Liberty Tree Tavern.



When you check in, they ask where you are from. They use to announce your name and where you are from when you enter.

I never know what state to say so at first I said Ohio but then I changed it to Minnesota.

I could have sworn there was a hidden mickey in there somewhere but I couldn't find it.

We were seated in like 2 minutes sure enough! I feel like 2 tops always get sat first because there isn't as many people with only 2 people.

We got sat right in the front at a 2 top table that overlooked MK. It was a nice spot actually!

We both ordered Diet Cokes.



When our waitress came back we ordered as we knew what we wanted even before we came into the restaurant.

I ordered the pot roast and Corey ordered the turkey meal.

I liked the crayons they had on the table.



It was literally like 5 minutes and our food came out. They must just continuously knock out plates of food. Now I understand why there is a limited menu...

My meal



It was pot roast over mashed potatoes with gravy. The vegetables were carrots, red onions, celery, mushrooms, and fresh parsley on top.

Yum! This was sooo good. I absolutely loved the vegetables. They were delicious, especially with the mashed potatoes and gravy. I literally could have just had a plate of veggies with mashed potatoes. I love roasted veggies. The roast was very good as well but it was heavy, especially on a hot day. I ate most of it but left a little bit.

His verdict about the turkey was that it was good. Just good, not great, or he needs to eat it again.

So after we ate our entrees in about 15 minutes we ordered our dessert.

Of course we had to get the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake! That was the main reason we were here!!!

So we ordered it and about 2 minutes later our dessert comes out! Haha!



Well, where do I start with this little beauty?? This thing was just amazing on so many levels. Corey and I constantly talk about this dessert at home, LOL!

I was surprised at the size of this. I thought it was smaller than the pictures. That is a good thing because it was very rich.

The cake is basically like an undercooked cookie. Definitely gooey and delicious! I have heard that sometimes the cake is cold. I would send it back if that happens to you! Anyways- we devoured this thing! It was sooo good!

Our meal was great- a bit heavy for lunch in 85 degree weather, but it was still good.

The only negative thing was that we were literally in and out in a half hour. I booked lunch here for a nice way to get out of the heat and relax, but it did not good when we were only there for a half hour.

It was just so quick in there! Too quick! Food was good though, so I guess that is the biggest thing.

Alright, my notes are horrible(aka non existent) so this is going to be a little fuzzy.

It wasn't time to use our Peter Pan fastpasses yet so we went into Mickey's Philharmagic- one my favorite attractions in all of WDW!







It was a packed theater! I just love this show. I love how the little kids go to reach out and touch the things "in the air"

Then we used our Peter Pan fastpasses!



It was getting close to our 3pm Instagram meet so we decided to head over in that area. We were meeting at Tortuga Tavern at the fireplace for SOTMK.

On the bridge to Adventureland, "Corey says it's humid: must eat dole whip" And that become our slogan for the trip! So we stopped at this beauty.




I got a yummy dole whip float with pineapple/vanilla swirl. It was super melty already that is how humid it was!



Corey got his beloved orange/pineapple swirl.



We hung out with some lizards!



For the love of god disney- PLEASE move that smoking area! It is such a god awful smoking area as it is such a busy place. I hate cigarette smoke especially while I am eating.

I really wanted to go into the Frontierland to use the vinylmation trading box to trade, but the parade was going by and it was impossible to get past.

We just decided to head towards the meet up. I was a little nervous as I have never met such a large group of strangers! Corey was nervous too as he is anti-social, haha.

We got to the table and they had to get us another chair.

Anyways- it was fun!

There was Linda(chaobabylinda), Derek(derek75), Alexandra (pinkcupcakexoxo), her friend, Ginny(ginnyvegas), and Livv(ilivvinwonderland). It was great to meet everyone!!

Derek and Linda are IG friends who hang out all the time! He lives in Orlando and Linda comes to Disney all the time to visit him. Her husband is a pilot and she gets to fly for free! Alexandra is a huge disney fan and she is heading back in 8 days for AKL! Ginny and Livv are cousins and they have a beach house that spend 2 weeks at every summer and come to disney alot during that time.

During the meet up I brought up The DisBoards..I just assumed everyone who is a huge disney fan knows what the disboards is. Well- no one even heard of it!!! Besides Alexandra who follows PrincessJess's trip report for her CP. She was staying at Coronado and was hoping to run into her. She doesn't have a username though, she just reads.

I was just shocked that huge disney fans don't know what the disboards are.

We got a picture in front of Pirates of the Caribbean. The CM there handed us pirate mickey stickers.



In order from left to right we have Derek, Linda, Alexandra, her friend, Ginny, Livv, Corey and me!

It was nice to meet them and hopefully we would meet up again.

After that we went our separate ways because we had a fastpass to use for Buzz Lightyear's space ranger spin.



So, I had an emergency on Buzz Lightyear. I ended up holding my cell phone because I was going to take pictures with it. Well, a little ways into the ride I dropped my phone. It fell in the car but I knew there was a gap and I didn't want it to fall out of the gap. So I freaked out and bent down as far as I could and strained my arm. Because I strained my arm, I got this horrible cramp in my entire arm. So there I was with a horrible cramp, not able to move and in pain during the ride. It was not fun.

The cramp finally went away after a minute or two so then I could play.

However, our car wouldn't move properly! So we kept getting stuck and couldn't move. At one point we couldn't even shoot anything because we were stuck in a spot that didn't face any.

Our score ended up being Corey: 587,000; Rachel: 3600

Hahah! It was basically because I literally gave up. I really hate this ride. Lol. I like to ride it I guess, but I don't like to play it. And it is really bad when you drop your phone and get a horrible arm cramp!

Anyways- sorry this post had few pics and lots of words!

We are planning to eat lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time when we are there in December. The hot, heavy food will probably be great with the cooler temperatures outside. The dessert looks delicious.

Boo to you Buzz - there used to be a time when I could always beat DBF on that ride but sadly he has taken that crown from me - which is a real embarrassment since I used to work there! Oy vey.

Well, now you have me a little bit worried about our meal at Liberty Tree Tavern a week from Sunday. I hate being rushed through my meal. But Mark really wants to eat there.

wow, that was a super quick lunch at LTT - I think I would have stalled some before asking for desert as I agree, part of the plan to eat there is to get out of the heat.

oh and "it is really bad when you drop your phone and get a horrible arm cramp!" would have also been a could trip report title

I love LTT but we usually go for dinner and usually in a big group, so our meal is never that quick, wow! I love the food there though, so yummy!

How neat that you got to meet up with people, but crazy that they've never heard of the disboards!

I love the Liberty Tree Tavern! I've never done lunch, but I have done dinner a few times. My sister and I still rave about their honey butter and the strawberry vinaigrette dressing. So good!
An instagram meet, how cool! And how funny that not many of them are on dis boards. That surprises me lol.
Mmmmmm dole whip! 33 more days and I can get my fix too bad that smoking area isn't farther away. It is a pretty congested location for a smoking spot.
