An Instagrammable and Dole Whippy 4th of July Trip Report!**UPDATED 3/4

That is great news about Corey's new job. It's too bad he didn't have it already lined up when you were at WDW.

What a bummer about Test Track! I would have been upset too, 1 second left :headache: I'm glad that you did end up getting fast passes though. Thanks for sharing all of your pictures of the queue, it looks really fun!

I haven't seen the new Starbucks in person yet, but it looks very nice. I enjoyed reading your comments about the good and bad things about it though. The rest of your MK morning that you posted looks great, 2 mountain walk ons is amazing!

Congrats to Corey on finding a job!!

First and foremost, CONGRATS to Corey on his job. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Love your updates. Too bad about Test Track, but glad they did the right thing and gave you fastpasses.

I can't wait to have my first Starbucks in the MK. :goodvibes

You look soaked in your pictures, but you can certainly tell you were having a blast! I wonder why the picture disappeared so fast?

Love Big Thunder!

Congrats to Corey on his new job - sounds great!

Bummer about Test Track - especially to be that close and have spent the time on designing the car already, but glad you got the fastpasses :thumbsup2

Oh my, poor Tron Track seems to be down an awful lot. Thank goodness they gave you fastpasses or I would have been really upset as well.

If nothing else the King cupcake is certainly unique. It's a must do at POP I think.

Congratulations to Corey on his new job. That's great news. It must make taking this trip feel even better.

Wow you got some great and clear Splash photos. I have to say I love the front. I usually don't get barely wet at all except for the front.

I like to think of Splash and Big Thunder as a combo. You get wet on Splash then dry off on Big Thunder. I'm sure that was the intention...

Yes it is great news! He actually interviewed for another job right before Disney that I was hoping would have went through at WDW. But he didn't get that job. Oh well!

Thanks for the congrats! I will tell him. You will love Sbux on main street!! It is heaven to drink starbucks on main street. I was having a blast. I was so happy I felt like I was going to burst. Corny i know!

Thanks on the grats! I know I was happy we got fastpasses. Then I wasn't too upset.

You do hear a lot of it closing. The king cupcake was great! I was surprised how good it was. Great thinking on the combo of Splash and Big thunder. it is the perfect combo to dry off on after. We do feel better about our trip now that he is a job. We will still be poor until he gets his first check but that is ok.

The shrimp and grits from the GFC looks delicious.

I thought your Illuminations photos were good. :thumbsup2 I agree with you on the globe, I think it's kind of awkward and cheesy. I don't know how to describe it.

I like the car you and Corey designed. How frustrating that they closed RIGHT before it was your turn. That always happens to us with TSMM, even a CM told us we were jinxed during our last trip.

That cupcake looks awesome and sounds even better, I tend to like unusual food combinations though.
The shrimp and grits were delicious!! Yes the globe is cheesey!! I don't care for it. Omg that is frustrating to be so close. I feel like disney rides are down a lot.

Hi Rachel! Congratulations to Corey for his new job! That's awesome!

I saw that you were Barb's back up for the live thread - how very nice of you. I know that is time consuming. Do you ever "accidently" not post a photo? :rotfl2: I know you would never do that!

As for your updates.... Bummer about Test Track. Argh! So close. At least you had that non-sellable fast pass.

That is an adorable photo of you soaking wet on Splash. You look great even drenched!

Sounds like a busy couple weeks so good luck with all of that!
It is time consuming. She is amazing for doing that!! I know I couldn't do it.
Haha thanks on the splash photo. I was sooo happy at that moment!!!

I really need to learn more about editing. I bought Aperture for the Max but I feel like it doesn't do as much as Adobe. What program do you use for editing? I just put the camera on the trash can. I didn't use a gorilla pod. I thought about buying that but never did!

I use Adobe Lightroom 4. The latest version is 5. I haven't used Aperture, but it seems like they use a lot more filters. Lightroom will let you edit RAW files and lets you have much greater control over the image. It may be intimidating at first, but there are a lot of Lightroom tutorials on youtube. I found SLRLounge to be very informative. :thumbsup2

The Test Track queue looks awesome. We would miss it since we go through the single rider line.

We kind of rushed to new Fantasyland because I was definitely worried about the wait time. By this time it was about 10:00 so I figured it would be 50 minutes.

Corey was really worried about this attraction. He knew it was an attraction were kids get involved but he was really adamant about the fact that he doesn't want to get involved in it at all. He didn't really know exactly what it detailed he just knew he didn't want to participate. He is a pretty shy guy so I understood why. I told him no, you won't participate unless you volunteer.

When we got to the entrance I was shocked that it was only a 30 minute wait!

I made sure to get a spot right in the front of the mirror! Corey was in the back since he is 6'3 and didn't want to ruin anyone's view.

I was all for taking iphone photos this trip.

This effect is really so cool!

Ahhh I really always get confused during this! I get so confused how the mirror grows!

So we go into the room and then he starts giving the parts out. He calls out the knights and doesn't ask for voulnteers- he just gives the part out! To Corey and another guy!!! Haha! I was like oh great he is going to be mad at me because he thinks I am lying to him about how he had to volunteer!

I instagrammed, "boyfriend was the knight in #enchantedtaleswithbelle hah!"

Luckily he could hide with the mask lol!

I didn't sit in the front but I should have for the pictures.

Corey's part was really silly. He just had to make some weird noise at one point. He basically just stood there the whole time!

When Corey and the other knight had to take pictures Belle told Corey that he was brave. Awww...he had a crush.

The funniest part was when Belle has to leave she goes through another door. Well of course no one follows her. But Corey was on the side of the door where she left and he followed her out!!! Haha, for some reason he thought we were all leaving after her!! Oh my gosh it was funny. The CM had to go in after Corey and pull him out. Everyone laughed!!

Anyways, he wasn't mad that he got chosen to be the knight. He thought it was fun and there wasn't too much attention on him minus everyone laughing when he tried to follow Belle out!

It was a fun experience. Afterwards, we were texting his mom about Corey being the knight and we sent her pictures. She thought it was hilarious.

Since we were in new fantasyland of course we had to check out Little Mermaid ride. Little Mermaid ride was also a 30 minute wait.

For some reason that Scuttle out in the queue wasn't operating.

I love the mural!

I took a lot of iphone photos because I wanted to instagram some.

"#scuttle on #underthesea #littlemermaidride we're having a great time!"

Needless to say, Corey didn't care for this ride! Maybe because of the princess them or what..but he didn't care for it! He thought it was pretty boring and that it would be better.

After Little Mermaid we decided it was time for Corey's first LeFou's brew!

We grabbed a table under the shade and it felt so nice to sit down. We were close to our lunch reservation but we were hot.

I took this awful picture of myself:

Eyes closed:

He really enjoyed the LeFou's brew! He liked it a lot. It will be added to his snack list!

After our brew we were kind of scrambling for things to do since we were so close to our lunch reservation.

We decided to get a fastpass for Peter Pan.

Then we mosey'd on over to Liberty Tree Tavern to wait it out.

We went the back way through the Rapunzel area. We tried to find Pascals but I couldn't figure out where they were hidden!

Me with my messy hair!

We were going to ride Haunted Mansion but it was too long of a line so next we did something we have never done before together!

We found out that the riverboat- the Liberty Belle was leaving in about 10 minutes and that it would be the perfect time to make it for our reservation at 12:30.

So, on we got on Liberty Belle, the riverboat of Magic Kingdom. We headed towards the top because we wanted a good view. I swear they used to have chairs up there but not they just have one bench.

I had my mickey bracelets that i wear every disney day!

I saw these people emptying some sort of liquid into the river...I really hope it was water and not a urine bag. lol

We came up to Splash mountain

And then we came up to Big Thunder. It was such a cool view when the train zipped by!

Corey instagrammed this beautiful pic.

"Big Thunder Mountain from the Liberty Square Ferry Boat #magickingdom #disneyworld #libertysquare"

He also instagrammed this picture of me

On the boat ride you pass all of these little scenes which I think are only visible from the ferry boat

There was a dog on here that was pretty realistic!

I waved at all the people in line for Haunted Mansion!

It was so pretty to come up to this bend and see the tip of the castle.

All in all, it was a very nice boat ride! It was a little hot up there but it was nice to do something different. On the way out of the boat we passed the steam engine and wow it was soo hot! I couldn't breathe!!

What a fun day at MK! Poor Corey getting picked for ETWB! But at least it turned out alright in the end. I love the new Rapunzel area, and I think that the hidden Pascal's are so fun - hopefully next time you can find them all. I love your pictures from the riverboat too :goodvibes I haven't ridden Liberty Belle in quite a few years, but looking at those pictures makes me want to go again!

Great report!! I love all the Instagram pics - I find myself hardly touching it when I'm at home but can't stop using it when I'm in Disney!!

OMG that is too funny that Corey got selected. I was also under the impression that is was strictly volunteers.

Haha, I'd say he definitely had a crush since he followed Belle out. :rotfl:

That is too funny about Corey being picked as a Knight after you told him you had to Volunteer. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I still haven't done that and probably won't as hubby as no interest. So unless the girls want to do it in December, I think I will miss it again.

Love your photos from the Liberty Belle. It's been at least 15 years since we have done that. it seems to always be closed for refurb when we are there in September. Maybe it will be open next week when we are there?

How hilarious that Corey was picked to participate after you told him it was volunteer participation. :rotfl:

I love the instagram pics from the Liberty Belle.

Corey made for an adorable knight!! :) glad he didn't hold getting selected against you! Ahhh Disney building such wonderful memories for you guys! I'm fascinated with how they pull off the mirror/door thing at ETwB as well. I'm going to try and video it next time. Such trickery has me confused.

I don't see a bad photo of you even with "messy" hair - you are just too cute.

I've never been on Liberty Belle but after seeing your photos I can't imagine why we've never ventured to that boat. The shot of the castle in the distance is awesome!

So you're not a big fan of the Little Mermaid ride. Maybe if they had had a working Scuttle it would have been better!!

I can't wait to hear about your LTT lunch.

I haven't been on the riverboat since I was a kid. I had forgotten about all the things you could see from the boat. I will have to do that again.

You can use snack credits on the Starbucks beverages?!?!:worship:
