I have posted lots of comments on similar threads which gives my point of view and am hartened by the similar views of may US DIS posters however the loud noise made by User Name, Charade and a few more with a it's my energy and nobody can tell me what to do is a little depressing. .

Excuse me? I don't think I've ever stated anything like that at all. In fact, I've made comments that we should do all we can to lessen our impact on the earth but not by breaking the bank which is what I think will happen if the "sky is falling" crowd gets their way.

I'm just repeating what "they" have said. I've been told that GB hates our children. Wants our children to die etc. I'm not the one who put the spin on it. I'm just pointing it out.

Andy, I think everyone should see this movie. We owe it to the next generation to see the movie. Everyone can form their own opinions. My opinion is that we do not conserve as we should here in the US. I do believe that we all need to care what we do to our environment. For Username, all I can say is that yes I do care, I think everyone should.

As far as caring what other countries think, I want to no how we are perceived. If most of the world thinks we are wasteful, maybe we need to take a look at why we are perceived that way. I think it is foolish not to care. I think that is the problem with the world today, most people only think of themselves.

I do not I think I owe it to the next generation to see this film, I think I have a duty to the future of all the world NOT JUST MY COUNTRY of trying to pass it on in no worse condition than when I arrived on this earth.

Randomly pick out US cities and do a google check on average temps during last 20 years. Almost all of them either stay same, or acutally go down. Facts are facts. I love seeing all the stories about global warming meetings taking place in snowstorms. Its time for gore to give it up, he is yesterdays news!!

Did i say US cities ONLY??? Its like a poll, do they ask EVERY voter? no, they do a sample. If you look at 20 US cities, that will give you a good idea. Some people just dont want to believe its a made up!!

Andy...not a problem, in last few minutes i did a sample including cities in the US, England, India, and Austrailia. And i did it over 60 years......same results. Anything else i can do for you? Is that enough "DUH" for you my friend??

Isn't taking, oh say, the past 100 years, too small a timescale?

If you look at the past several hundred thousand years (or longer), the current global temperature is well within the norms. (And, in case you didn't know this... during the last warming period, there were no factories, no cars, no industry, etc to cause the warming THEN, either!)

Hey, if you dont want to go look at facts, its ok with me. Going through life with you eyes closed is your option. Going to an official state website with official (not politically motivated) facts about official averge temps that have been officially (sorry about the over use if officially) document and verified by NOAA tells me, its scientific fact!!!
