An e-mail pin just...

I was so excited to get an email from Disney Destinations. But, I got a pin code for Winter. Not the pin I wanted. Still waiting for June 2012. Hopefully I'll get one.

I have done about everything I know how to do in an effort to get a PIN code. We have a pool home reserved, but we all really want to stay onsite. I just can't justify it at current summer prices, though. I've never gotten one and we've been going every 3-5 years since 2000. Maybe I just don't go often enough. C'mon Disney! I need this magic. I had an unexpected root canal this morning and somewhere in there I decided I deserved on-property...

Finally got a pin code I could use this evening. I called tonight and had the pin code applied to my current reservation. Saved over $600.00

I just had a thought...
I just noticed that I got the same email/pin tonight that I got on 11/7. But I passed that one up as the dates that were listed on the "Game On" email were for January 2012. And I was going in June 2012. But, tonight I noticed on the email it stated "Ask for other dates." So I went to this link that someone here on the message boards posted to see if the pin would work. https://secure.reservations.disney....s/processEngine?process=false&pageRender=true
Sure enought, it did. I did get the 30% off my room for June 2012. So, what I'm trying to say, is even if you get a pin, you should check it out to see if it does work for your dates. Maybe everyone knows this, but I sure didn't.

I got a pin code all right but it was only for 10% off. I applied it and it saved us $200 but I'm really hoping for something better.

I think that many people are not aware that the pin they recieve although it states a specific Month can be applied to other dates as well. I found out last year when DH recieved a pin for Dec dates but when I called it was good for our Oct Dates too.

Another thing I have seen people constantly say how the pin is only good Sun to Thurs or Mon to Thurs, not understanding Disney is only showing the weekday rates discounted price but that the weekends will also be discounted if you book it, they are just higher priced than weekday.

Waiting myself for a pin for 2012 keeping fingers crossed, I even ordered a DVD and said I want to travel in December(which I do ) but I want a pin good for all year.

I received the 'game on' email but my code is only valid for this November & December. We are planning our first trip for next fall. I tried the link above but it doesn't let try my dates.

I would call and ask if you could use it for other dates. My pin specifically said to be used in March but when I called she let me use it in June. It's worth a try!

I just received a PIN code good for 20% off. We are still hoping for FD but at least 20% off is better than nothing, right? It looks like it will save us about $300. But a discount is still a discount.
