An APRIL Adventure in Autism: 2008 (8/8) Time to Say Good-Bye....

Great Animal Kingdom photos -- I love your relaxing pace -- we are really going to try and take things slowly and leisurely on this trip -- which will be a first for me.

Pizzafari is so neat inside -- definitely want to eat there in June!

I am the same way about bugs so I will not be sticking my hand in the hollow log.

A two for one update, yay!!!! LOVIN' the lazy pace!! AK is so lovely to wander and meander in and really enjoy that atmosphere. (((Hugs)))

What a great update!! I think I was about to die of embarrassment along with you in the Safari queue.:scared:

I love your pictures too! We haven't tried Pizzafari before but the murals are beautiful. We may have to eat there just to see those.

Looking forward to more:surfweb:

Yes, you can truly immerse yourself in the surroundings... I can't wait to stay at the AKL... I think it will be the same type of experience!

I always have a hard time deciding between Pizzafari and Flame Tree BBQ...

Pizzafari has great atmosphere if you want to eat inside, Flame Tree has the nod if you'd rather eat outdoors.

So does Flame Tree have indoor seating- no way in June to eat outside....

Laura, I believe all the Flame Tree seating is outside. There are no restrooms, either. They are located "across the road" from where you order your food.

There are several little "clusters" of tables in covered seating areas strewn along a shady trail that leads toward Asia. They are very pretty and some have lovely views of the water... but I wouldn't eat there on a hot humid day. ;)

Sometimes, even through the teenage girl traumas, the drama queen tendancies and the general schoolgirl cattyness - I'm glad I have two girls!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

(PS No disrespect at all to any of your boys and especially not sweet Billy!!)
(PPS He may not appreciate me calling him sweet - better keep that one quiet!!)

Kathy, enjoyed the two updates! That's so neat you were able to act as the "dream squad" and give your Dream Fastpasses to the dad and his kids. How fun that must have been!

The crowd in your AK picture--that's just crazy insane! I knew there was a reason we go WDW in September :rolleyes1 Sarah would just go ballistic in a crowd like that (actually, so would I, now that I think about it ;)) And speaking of girls, I, too, love my girls and the fact that MOST of the time, they are girly girls. They have their "moments," too, though. I have to say, DD7 (Allison) is the worst :rotfl:

Once again Ed is totally correct, It would have been funny and what made it even funnier I'm sure is Tricia's reaction.

Potty Humor=:lmao::rotfl2:

Nice updates Kathy

Glad to see Tricia and Ed are supporting the pin makers of the world

It was strange... earlier in the day the crowd wasn't bad and then it seemed like everyone in the park went to Africa at the same time!! :lmao:

Oh, definitely! Ed always tells us, "If you girls didn't react the way you do, he wouldn't think it was half as funny!!"

Autistic or not, boys just love to gross us girls out!!

Kathy

I have seen that happen every time we have been to AK. For that reason we always explore Africa first thing in the morning....and we ride the Safari for a second time in the afternoon using a FP we got in the am. Works out well for us.

PS. Danica and I are doing well. So far she's a very easy baby....she just needs to switch her day and night which I know will come in a few weeks.

So glad!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

She's used to being rocked to sleep when you would be up and moving during the day!!

The worst part of a Disney vacation is everything you miss on the DIS while you're gone... But I did it, I finally caught up! :faint:

When I left you 2 1/2 weeks ago, you were just heading out on your road trip. It's almost like you guys were on that 2 week safari, but it didn't get cut short this time.

Your first day and a half sounds great so far! I'm impressed with how flexible you were on the trip. ;)

I'm finally here! (Ok, I'll admit, I lurked quite a bit)

Billy is such a sweetheart :cutie:

Tricia...I remember being her age (so what if it was 2 years ago?). She seems so hip, yet so full of that pre-teen attitude! (Mamas beware, it will get worse!)

Update more! I want to see PPP pics!
