An AP resort discount question and a little more...

We usually go to Disney with our "family group" a few days before President's Weekend comes up...For instance..Last year...we arrived on February 14th...which I was able to get the AP discount on all three of our rooms for that day and the rest of the five days...

This coming February...the kids have the weekend of the 23rd-26th off...So...we are actually arriving late in the evening on the 19th..which is President's Day and staying until the 26th...

Question.....I probably won't get the AP room discount during that time, will I?
Question.....Will it be even "more" crowded beginning President's Day and on during that week than the weekend "of" President's Day? Do more people come President's Day and stay for that following week?

I have usually called us a "gathering" and even had a "number", though we didn't go to the gatherings....I just booked our three rooms and had two adjoining...This time..we may need four rooms...with one couple out of the group arriving several hours earlier than the rest of us...Would we be able to get them adjoined even though they will be there ahead of us..since we would be part of a "gathering"?
