THanks Chris! I have a couple more years until my kids are ready to pack their own lunches. I can't wait!

Jamie, I think I have been purposely not craving snacks so I don't have to do pushups! They do really tone up your arms though!

Allison, thanks for your encouragement!

Jane, you will be up to regular pushups in no time! I don't think it matters about the extra weight, just the strength in your arms. Keep at 'em and you'll be surprised at how strong you get!

Heather thanks! I love my dress. I hope to get a photo of it posted this weekend.

Good gosh, girl...it took me 30 minutes to get caught up on your journal! (And I thought that I had been busy) First of all, CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING!!! :flower: That is so exciting!! Only a few more weeks now...won't it feel great to put on that dress that fits now and have it loose for the wedding? You can go crazy eating AFTER the ceremony. That food will still be there. I can't wait to see a picture of your dress. I know that it is gorgeous just hearing you describe it! Have a great rest of the weekend! :flower:

Yesterday went pretty well. I was very proud of myself! I had everything all planned out, and of course that didn't happen... We ended up going to the mall after DD's soccer game (it was the last game of the season and she scored her very first goal!! :teeth: ) and we had soft pretzels for lunch. I also had a grande NF chai from Starbucks,,, :rolleyes1 BUT, here is the good part! I came home, calculated everything out, and those 2 things were the same amount of calories as my lunch and snack. So I made out OK! I was too stuffed to eat anything until dinner, so it worked out!! The bad thing is that we were so busy I didn't get a chance to work out. :guilty: I haven't done anything yet today, I better get in gear and do something soon! Yesterday's totals (1335 cal; 60oz water; 20oz iced tea; 1 glass white wine):

B-Egg Beaters (3/4c); Cheese (1/8c); Toast-n-Butter; Cinnamon Pear Halves (2)
L-Wetzels Original Pretzel w/Mustard
S-NF Grande Chai
D-Meatloaf; Mashed Potatoes (1/2c); Peas (1/2c); Creme Savers (4)
WORKOUT-None :sad2:
RESISTED-Nothing, I had no cravings!!!!!

Karyn, thanks! I will try to get a photo of that dress posted sometime soon. You know how it is with exactly 0 minutes of spare time... The only thing I will be binging on after the ceremony is champagne...

I hear you on getting off plan on the weekends. It's just life, and we shouldn't beat ourselves up over it. Who wants to be a skinny thing who only thinks of exercise and eating healthy - not I!

Keep up the good work!

I got my exercise in!!! And I ate a little more than I wanted (bad cookie!), but no frenzied snacking. And I weighed the same this morning (135) as I did on Friday! That's a major accomplishment! Yesterday's totals (1471 cal; 80oz water; 20oz iced tea):

B-Egg Beaters (3/4c); Cheese (1/8c); Toast-n-Butter; Cinnamon Pear Halves (2)
L-Grilled Ham-n-Provolone Sandwich; Mini Rice Cakes (10)
S-FF Cottage Cheese (1/2c); LF String Cheese; Graham Sticks (3)
D-Grilled Chicken (4 oz); Carrots (3/4c); Ice Cream Sandwich; Cookie

Allison, I agree - what's the use of being thin if you can't enjoy your life at the same time??

Congrats to your dd for scoring her first goal! :cheer2: You must've been very proud! You made it thru the weekend without cravings! Your weekend went much better than mine did! Great job - that wedding is right around the corner - I bet you can't wait to wear that dress!

I am really doing good these past couple days! :cool1: I don’t know what’s come over me, I am just going to take advantage while it lasts… I had my Monday lunchtime class and I estimated the sandwich at 330 calories. I think that is accurate. There was no mayonnaise or anything, so it might be an over-estimate. Better over than under, right? I got my walk in and went to the gym. :cheer2: Totals (1270 cal; 100oz water; 1 can Minuite Maid Light):

B-Kashi Crunch (3/4c); FF Yogurt; Cinnamon Pear Halves (2)
L-Turkey-n-Swiss Sandwich on Multi-Grain; DC
S#1-Apple
S#2-FF Cottage Cheese (1/2c); LF String Cheese

Jane, I was SO proud of DD! I thought I was going to rupture my larynx, I was screaming so loud. And DD was really proud of herself too. They were still playing and she said to the coach "Did you see that? I scored in a crowd!". I can't wait for the wedding to be done with. It will be nice to just get it over with! I'm glad we are not having a long engagement. This way it is only getting a little out of hand. I can't imagine what it would have blossomed to if there were more time to plan things!

Thats how ds's wedding was. I think we had about a month to plan for it. I'd much rather work under pressure than have too much time to plan & think about something. My daughter in law had a terrible time finding a dress. I finally took her up to Tampa and the third dress she tried on - she loved. We bought it TWO weeks before the wedding - that was scary!

Great job on the eating!!! You should get married every month - you haven't snacked since you got engaged!

My day yesterday was AWFUL! Eating was OK, everything else was SO wrong… It started when I pulled a muscle in my neck while washing my hair. Then I forgot to put coffee in the coffee pot (but the filter was in there!). Then at about 3pm I realized I forgot to turn the crockpot on (luckily it was in the fridge and not sitting on the counter). Then DF forgot I had to take DD to tap and he was out running errands. I made DD miss tap because there was no one to watch DS. When DF came home, he asked why I just didn’t take DS with me? OMG, I can’t believe that didn’t even cross my mind… Official weigh-in this morning was at 135. I was a little disappointed because I have been so diligent with my eating this past week. Oh well. Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and I already have a plan on FitDay. Since it is at our house, I should be able to keep things under control (I know what foods will be there!). I am planning on some treats, but I am going to keep my calories around 1600. Just because there is an abundance of food does not mean I have to eat it! Totals (1326 cal, 80oz water):

B-Raisin Bran Crunch (1c); Skim Milk (1/2c); Cinnamon Pear Halves (2)
L-Homemade Veggie Soup (1.5c); Ham-n-Provolone Sandwich (1/2); Goldfish (30); DC
S#1-Apple
S#2-LF String Cheese
D-2 pieces Ham-n-Pineapple Pizza; Crème Savers (4)
WORKOUT-Walking (40min)
RESISTED-Apple Cinnamon Cookies; 3rd piece of pizza

Jane, I think I am secretly stressed about this wedding! How else can I explain the scatterbrain day I had yesterday? I think I am worried about the party afterwards (will we have enough food, chairs, etc). I'm not worried about actually getting married, just the party! Sad, huh??? And I am getting robbed - usually when I am super stressed I LOSE weight!

Sorry to hear that your scale was disappointing. But you seem to be very on track and know what you are going to have and want this weekend and that's good - especially for tomorrow. Glad to hear your knee is better.

And let me tell you - my second marriage we had a long engagement (over a year to plan) and I was going nuts. My first marriage I had 2 months and that was so much better than a year!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: So I know what you're talking about. But it is fun, minus all the stress. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Keep on
Chris

Happy Thanksgiving, Amy!!! Sorry to hear about the bad day you had yesterday. At least you left the crockpot in the fridge. Sounds to me like you are seriously stressin'. I'd be the same way. With my wedding I worried about the reception but not the ceremony or the legal ramifications. Everything will turn out fine - but its so hard getting thru it all. Just watch out for those tap dancing lessons. Kick back, have a glass of champagne & get thru the next week!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! I did alright yesterday... I stuck to my eating plan but things weren't the best as I was making some goodies for today. Let's just say I had a few finger dips of FF Cool Whip and licked the bowls on a few things... :guilty: But it was not as bad as in the past and I didn't gain weight because of it. I probably added 150 calories to my total (that is what I estimated anyway!). And I didn't have any cookies, which is a major accomplishment! So far so good today, I actually went to the gym. I will not post it in my sig until tomorrow. The totals (1417 cal; 100oz H2O; 16oz iced tea; 2 cups green tea):

B-Kashi Crunch (3/4c); FF Yogurt; Honeydew (1c)
L-Veggie Soup (1.5c); Turkey-n-Provolone Sandwich (1/2); Goldfish (30); DC
S#1-Apple; Tootsie Pop
S#2-LF String Cheese
D-Beef Roast (3oz); Carrots (10 baby); Potato (1/2 large); Creme Savers (4)
S#3-Cool Whip; Bowl scrapings of Pumpkin Fluff, Sweet Potato & Banana dish and Pumpkin Apple Bake :confused3
WORKOUT-Walking (40 min); Weights (25 min); Elliptical (30 min)
RESISTED-Cookies; Pumpkin Fluff; Tootsie Rolls; Extra Creme Savers :cheer2:

Chris, I only have one more week to stress about the wedding. It will be so worth it in the end though! I have a hate-hate relationship with the scale. It seems I will be stuck at 135 for a while...

Jane, I will be indulging in a glass of bubbly today and I'm sure several glasses will be had next Friday!! I think I am finally getting better about worrying so much - I just want everyone to have a good time!

I survived!!!!!!!! I stuck pretty much to my plan with a few added goodies. I was 200 calories over my goal, but that was because I ate 1 3/4 cookies. Oh well, it was Thanksgiving after all! The BEST part is that this morning I still weighed 135!!!! I didn't gain a single pound!!! Woohoo!!!!!!! :cool1:  :cheer2: The damage (1812 cal; 60oz water; 16oz iced tea; 2 glasses white wine):

B-Egg Beaters (3/4c); Cheese (1/8c); Toast-n-Butter; Honeydew (1c)
L-Egg Whites (4); LF String Cheese
S-Carrots-n-Celery w/Hummus (~1/4c, probably less)
D-Turkey (2oz); Corn (1/2c); Wheat Roll w/Margarine (2); Sweet Potato-n-Banana Bake (1/2c); Pumpkin Fluff (1c) w/FF Cool Whip (2tbsp); Pumpkin Apple Bake (1pc); Oatmeal Cranberry Cookie (1 3/4)
WORKOUT-Weights (30min); Treadmill (30min)
RESISTED-Pumpkin Pie, Mashed Potatoes; Cashews; 2nd helpings of everything...

Congrats on the great eating on Thanksgiving! :cheer2: You did an amazing job! I'm glad you're not worrying as much about the wedding. The important thing is that you have a great time & enjoy yourself in spite of all of the planning you have to do. That dress is going to look fabulous!

I am doing OK with eating, but not great. I need to get back on track. Still at 135, so I'm not doing any damage, but I'm not doing myself any favors either... Today has been a really bad day eating, which you will see for yourself tomorrow when I post the goodies I've consumed! At least I got my workout in (my knee is healed enough to do my favorite DVD!) Yesterday's totals (1661 cal; 80oz water):

B-Egg Beaters (3/4c); Cheese (1/8c); Toast-n-Butter; Honeydew (1c)
L-Grilled Turkey-n-Provolone Sandwich; Mini Rice Cakes (10); DC
S-FF Cottage Cheese (1/2c); LF String Cheese; Bit-O-Honey (5)
D-Cheeseburger Melt (1 serving); Green Beans (1c); Creme Savers (4); Pumpkin Apple Bake (last piece!); FF Cool Whip (1/2c)
WORKOUT-Pilates Sculpt (55min)
RESISTED-Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies; Pumpkin Pie

Jane, I did great on Thanksgiving, but I am really doing bad the rest of the weekend! The only good thing is that I gave away 90% of the leftovers. :cheer2: I have determined that I can NOT have Cool Whip in the house, FF or not! I can hammer that stuff down and not think twice until half the container is gone... :confused3

Oh my, posting this will be a little humbling... I can't believe I can do awesome on Thanksgiving and blow it the Saturday after! That's what happens when you run around all day... I found a website that lists some of the calories for Outback. I wish I never found it - I liked my low calorie estimates better! Miraculously I still weighed in at 135 this morning! Today I am back on track and after I finish posting I am off to the gym. :cheer2: The damage (2510 cal  ; 20oz water; 3 martinis):

B-Egg Beaters (1/4c); Raisin Bran Crunch (1c); Skim Milk (1/2c); Honeydew (1c)
L-Very Berry Sundae from Costco (3/4); Mini Rice Cakes (15)
S-Almonds (10); Cauliflower (1c); Bit-O-Honey (5)
D@Outback-Grilled Shrimp (3); Coconut Shrimp (3); Cream of Potato Soup (cup); Bread-n-Butter (4)
S#2-Oatmeal Cranberry Cookie; Sliver of Pumpkin Pie (1/4 of 1 pc); Creme Savers (2)
WORKOUT-None (but I was running around from 8am-3pm)
RESISTED-Obviously nothing, since I ate everything I wanted to!!!!! :rolleyes1

No worries. I am already back on track today, and I have already drank 40oz of water, which is WAY better than yesterday!! Now I'm off to the gym! :teeth:

I did OK yesterday. My calories are high because I ate some nuts. I by no means ate as healthy as I should have, but I ended the long weekend at the same weight I started, so I can’t complain! My goal was to maintain and I succeeded! :cool1: Hopefully that trend will continue - there will be plenty of drinking Friday, since it is the big day!!! Yesterday’s totals (1852 cal; 80oz water):

B-Kashi Crunch (3/4c); FF Yogurt; Banana
L-Grilled Turkey-n-Provolone Sandwich; Goldfish (30); Peach Fresca (YUM!)
S#1-Cashews (1/2c); Crème Savers (2)
S#2-Sliver of Pumpkin Pie (1/5 of 1 piece); FF Cool Whip (4 tbsp); Laughing Cow Light w/Pretzel Sticks (24)
D-2 pieces homemade Pizza; LF Ice Cream Sandwich
WORKOUT-Weights (30min); Elliptical (30min)
RESISTED-Bit-O-Honey; Sweet Potato-n-Banana Bake :cheer2:

You really didn't do bad for Thanksgiving. I know how you are about cheesecake, and I was thinking about you as my brother an I SPLIT (yes, we each ate HALF) a key lime cheesecake. It was one of the small Sara Lee ones. I went totally out of control. You made a very healthy meal. Good for you!!

It's hard being stuck at a certain weight, but at least you aren't at 137 anymore!!! :cheer2:

I can't believe that you're getting married this Friday! Time sure has flown by. Like you, I'm finding the follow up meals AFTER Thanksgiving much more difficult. All isn't lost on me...yet! I'm reading Dr. Perricone's book - its really interesting. He emphasizes nuts, seeds, avocados- things that I normally would try to avoid. His whole diet is about keeping your blood sugar count level - not allowing spikes & drops. Congrats for keeping that weight the same!

We had leftover Thanksgiving dinner last night so we could get those goodies out of our fridge! I believe we succeeded... My calories were still a little high, but I am not going to worry about it. I’m not losing, but I wasn’t losing when my calories were in the 1200’s, so I might as well enjoy the extra food!! I plan on gradually getting back to the 1200-1300 range, after this weekend’s festivities. I did my Pilates DVD last night – which was amazing since I didn’t get it done until 7pm. I could have easily plopped in front of the TV instead, I’m proud of myself that I made the right choice! :cheer2: Yesterday’s totals (1586 cal; 80oz water; 2 cups green tea, Minute Maid Light):

B-Kashi Crunch (3/4c); FF Yogurt; Banana
L@Class-Turkey-n-Cheese Sandwich; DC
S#1-Apple
S#2-FF Cottage Cheese (1/2c); LF String Cheese; Butterscotch Disc (1); Peppermint Patty (1)
D-Turkey (3oz); Sweet Potato-n-Banana Bake (1/2c); Pumpkin Fluff (1c); Crème Saver (1)
WORKOUT-Walking (40min); Pilates Sculpt DVD (55min)
RESISTED-Cookies & Chips at lunch; Pumpkin Pie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Karyn, I am SO jealous you had cheesecake! You are too nice, I probably would have punched my brother out so I could have eaten the whole thing... :rolleyes: And you are right - at least I am not stuck on 137 anymore! And as much as I am eating, I should be happy to be at 135...
Jane, I love nuts, but they are SO high in calories and I can never control portion sizes. I try to avoid them for that very reason. For example, this weekend I ate at least 1/2 cup of cashews, which is about 400 calories... :eek: I am getting really excited about Friday! I am going to get my hair done and she is charging $50 for me and $35 for DD. This seems very expensive - is it? I've never had it done before - she comes to the house. If it is the going rate, that is fine, I just want to make sure...
