Amy,
I don't really know exactly what I want so I'm hoping you can come up with something for me. We just got a new website in our school and you can add a picture. i was thinking of putting my classroom, but I don't like that idea. What I would love to do is have a solid background (maybe just white to keep it easy to read) with a few quotes about history. Something generic, easy to read, and simple but so my page stands out a little. Something square maybe and not too big as it needs to be a part of a webpage and it can't take up the whole space. Do you think you could come up with something?
Here's the quotes I was thinking of....all of them don't need used, but I am kind of partial to the second one.
The past can hurt. You can either run from it or learn from it.
-The Lion King
David C. McCullough: History is a guide to navigation in perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are.
Edward Gibbon: I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know no way of judging of the future but by the past
Etienne Gilson:
History is the only laboratory we have in which to test the consequences of thought.
You always make such amazing things, I thought of you immediately when I thought about this. Thanks so much!
