Amy's Journal: Comments Welcome!

Hi Amy,

Hope all is well......did you get a lot of snow? I thought we were over this already!!! I know March is our snowest month, but I had already put my winter coat away!!!!! Had to dig it out again,

Keep up the great work!

Have a great day :)

Hi everyone, sorry I was gone yesterday, I had a bloody nose most of the morning and it just sort of soured the day YUK! Food was so so yesterday, I did not make the best choices and did not walk due to my nose woe. Today I had lunch out with my mom but did pretty well. Tonight my parents are coming over for dinner and I am not even hungry. We are having KFC chicken because my parents love that stuff but I am making my own sides. I actually don't like KFC so no big temptation there.

DD and I are still going up to the hot springs this weekend even though it will be chilly. But I am really looking forward to her and I having a girls weekend with our girl friends!

Tracy: We did have tornadoe's but it was quite a ways from Denver. Unfortunately a young mom lost her life, really, really sad and scary. They had absolutely no warning. Thanks for being proud of me, I am proud too! And I am proud of you too and how well you are doing through all of life's challenges!

Jamie: I had to dig ds' coat out of the going-to-Good Will-bag yesterday morning! Guess I was a bit too optimistic! I am hoping this is the last one though.

Amy: I always wig out about travelling and staying on program! So often a trip has been the beginning of the end of my good habits. But this time feels different, I have been sticking to this for 15 months now, I just need to have more confidence in myself!

Anna: Thanks for the congrats, I was pretty happy. Who knew a little sticker star on a piece of paper could make me so happy? We will be in San Diego from june 17-20 and then in Los Angeles from the 20th to the 30th. I cannot wait. I need to pm you about a good beach in San Diego!

Okay I didn't do that well tonight. Now I am really putting myself in a bind for the weekend since I have probably used about half my flex points! I get very aggravated with me sometimes! I did do the treadmill so that was good and did well with water but just got lazy and ate too much and thought too little! I will be back on my journal on Sunday or Monday after I get back home. I hope I can do a bit better this weekend than I have done the past two days!

Happy Weekend all!

Amy

30 pounds gone!!! WOW!!!! That's AWESOME!!

You're doing so great!

Have a good weekend & keep YOUR Easter Plans!

Hi Amy,

Hope you are having a wonderful time this weekend with the girls!!! I am sure you are doing fine with your food choices!!

Have a great day/weekend:)

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE LOSS AMY :)
Hope you have a great trip this weekend!

Thank you so much Tracey, Tracy, Julie and Jamie! My weekend was incredibly fun. I can't remember when I had that much time with a girlfriend to just hang out and relax. The hot spring pool was wonderful, so relaxing. We got into some bad weather along Vail Pass in the mountains going up so it was nice to finally get there and unwind in the pool and hottub. The girls had a ball too. Foodwise I could have been better and I could have been a lot worse.

Saturday:
Breakfast: Pudding, was running late so just needed something I could bolt down quickly!
Lunch: One piece of supreme deep dish Pizza Hut pizza, breadstick and salad with 1000 Island dressing, diet coke.
Snack: Piece of leftover pizza
Dinner: Wendy's plain spicy chicken sandwich, order of fries and diet coke.
Snack: One Rum and diet coke
Water: 80 oz.
Did do some paddling around the pool on a noodle but also spent some time just vegging and chatting in the water.

Sunday: Food was better but not by much forgot what all I ate but I know I nibbled on some cheetos and also had about four donut holes at the hotel free breakfast. Today food was much better:
Breafast: All Bran with skim milk and walnuts
Lunch: Squash soup, crackers
Snack: Protein Bar with one cup skim milk
Dinner: Lowfat hotdog on whole wheat bun, two servings of baked fries and large green salad with lowfat dressing.
Snack: Skinny Cow
Water: 100 oz.

I don't hold out much hope for a weight loss this week, frankly if I stay near the same I will be quite happy. I survived the weekend without going completely hog wild so that was good. Thanks for reading, I need to catch up with all of you!

Hi Amy,

Your food this weekend was not too bad....like you said at least you didn't go hog wild!!! And that is great!

Glad that everyone had a good time and had time to just rest and relax.

Keep up the good work!!!!

Have a great day :)

I'm glad you had such a good time this weekend! I think if you behave the couple days before WI you'll do better than you think. That's what happened last time, right?

You are doing great, keep it up! What is the next "award" on WW? I bet you get something really cool at 50lbs!

Thanks Amy and Jamie! Amy, when I get to 50, I get another little sticker star and a magnet! I want em both! My next little reward will be my 35 pound star.

Today was okay with food. I did have Taco Bell tonight but only had one thing and a pepsi. I have had the most awful headache today and for some reason a regular soda really helps. Its the only time I drink them now. I also broke down and took Excedrin. It helps too but with the caffeine in the drink and the Excedrin I probably won't sleep too well tonight. I also doubt I make it to WW tomorrow for weigh in. Ds is sick and has been running a fever all day. I doubt he'll feel up to going (he is on spring break and also does not yet like to stay home alone ) and I don't want to spread his germs around the meeting anyway. I may try to go on Thrusday instead although that leader is very uninspiring to me. If I don't make it this week thats okay, I feel pretty motivated and as long as I make it next week thats okay to miss one.

I really need to get better with my exercise. I am only getting in two to three days a week and would like to get up to four or five. So that is my goal for this next week: Exercise a minimum of four times and bump up the fruits and veggies.

I know I am up a couple of pounds. I haven't been as dedicated with food this past week. Also, TOM is now a couple of weeks late, no idea if it will make an appearance or just continue haunt me with PMS and bloating. I love my 40's :sad2: . I also just felt worn out and tired all week long. I think I have been hitting it so hard the past six weeks and I just sort of pooped out this week. I don't feel like I have really fallen off the wagon, just that I sort of needed a week off. But I refuse to lose my momentum so I plan to hit it very hard again. I also HAVE to get to the grocery store and get stocked back up on my healthy foods again.

So in essence, I feel okay with things but also know my little break is over! And I have added some Dis Wish clippart to my signature. Sort of makes it feel real and reminds me of what I have accomplished. Its too important to not keep up! I figure if the little sticker stars at WW can make me this happy and motivated then maybe the clippart on my sig will add to that as well.

Thanks for reading and your support!

Hi Amy
Sounds like the headache may be due to TOM wanting to arrive!
Love the 30lb clippie :)
Hope you feel better soon

 Amy,

I hope you and your DS start feeling better soon. :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear that you had such a great time this weekend!:goodvibes

Your goal for the next week looks good... You CAN do it!:cheer2:

Have a great Wednesday!:cool1:

Hi Amy,

Hope your DS starts to feel better soon. If you make it to WI I am sure everything will be great. If you don't, next week will be great!!!

You are doing a great job...keep up the good work!!

Have a great day :)

Thanks everyone, ds is still not feeling great but he has no fever and is down eating right now so that looks good. He really wants to go to a church thing tonight, its pizza and a movie with nothing but sixth grade boys. The doctor says once he is fever free for 24 hours he's fine. He hasn't had fever since about 2:00 yesterday so as long as that holds I am letting him go. Bless his heart he doesn't get many social nights with other kids.

Okay, challenge today is that Harry and David have struck again. Several times a year, my wonderful in laws send these Harry and David packages. I really have a hard time resisting. DD cannot eat any of the candy with her braces so that just leaves even more for me. And nobody but me likes the truffles which have 100 calories and 8 grams of fat per one truffle. I have already eaten one of the cookies and am determined to stop at that! I know I can do it and this should really be for Dan and the kids anyway not my fat butt! If I can't handle these challenges, I am in big trouble. So rephrase this, its Harry and David to the rescue! They will help me learn will power. I will not eat truffles, I will not eat truffles! I will eat the pears instead!

I will post my food totals later and get to your journals as well. I hope you guys are all haivng a good day!

You CAN do this, Amy!:cheer2:

I'm glad to hear your DS is feeling better. :goodvibes Hope he has a great time at church tonight!:thumbsup2

You CAN do this, Amy! :cheer2: Stay strong!

Well I ended up using a total of 8 flex points today. PMS and a bunch of chocolate delivered to my door are not a good combo! The good news is that I got in my fruit and my veggies and drank my water. I also didn't exercise today but still have six days to make my 4 a week goal. And I did faithfully compute all points so that was good too I guess. May Harry and David be happy making that oh so hard to resist Moose Munch stuff!

Breakfast: Oatmeal with walnuts: (5) orange (1)
Snack: Skinny Cow (would not have eaten had I know the UPS man was about to arrive) (3)
Lunch: Squash soup (2)
Snack: Whole grain crackers (3)
Dinner: Large salad from Rumbi Grill (10) a few chips (2)
Snack: H & D cookie (2), Moosemunch (5)
Okay thats actually 33 total so I used 7 flex points, not 8. That leaves me with quite a few still and I really need to save those for my Easter Brunch.

Tracey: Yes, I think the TOM thing was defintiely behind the headache and the chocolate I ate today!
Jamie: Thanks, I didn't make weigh in today so next week it is!
Tracy: Ds is at his movie/pizza night right now, I was so glad he got to go!

Thanks for all your support! Even with some of my Harry and David moments, I still really feel good about today. Counting the points helps me stay accountable and for some reason last week I was not doing that faithfully. Or anything else for that matter! But that week is gone thank goodness!

And nobody but me likes the truffles which have 100 calories and 8 grams of fat per one truffle.

:scared1:
I bet they taste delicious though ;)

Hope you manage to resist! pms & choc are my downfall too!!
I read somewhere that during TOM your body lacks something thats in chocolate & thats why we need it!

Hope DS got to the church thing!

I think you did quite well yesterday, Amy. Good job!:goodvibes

Hope you have a great day today!:cool1:
