Amusing Code Confusion

I have been reading all this code stuff and it is all quite confusing. And also very amusing. It appears that all this mess is a glitch in the Disney system. So, the more people that use it, the more Disney will be likely to revoke the discount. Yet people keep emailing it around! Oh well, I just wondered if anyone finds it as amusing as I do. :rotfl2:
 
I just wonder if people are all using the same code. I am sure there are multiple codes, with many people using the same one. But my guess is many of these posts are all referring to differnet package codes too. :confused3
 
Well the only code I know of is the PIN code that I got on my e-mail last week that was assigned to my name.
 
The Glitch is a training issue with CMs not the system. If it was the system everyone would be able to get it.
 

So what will be the final outcome???? I have always booked when I have seen something concrete to read actually in front of me, from the DIS, Mousesavers, etc. I agree Sammie that it is a glitch with the training of the CM's, and regardless whether everyting works out and the discounts are honored, it is "still" a problem with the training of the CM's. This whole situation is a disaster. Calling CM's 4 or 5 a day until you get the answer you want is just crazy. My point being that Disney should be able to give the correct answer on call 1.

I think the glitch is simply the CM's not giving a crap.
 
I think it all depends on which CM you get when you call. When I went to book my reservations last night, I used one of the codes I found on DIS. The CM told me that code was for room and tickets but I was looking for just the room. Then he goes "hold on one second, let me work my Disney magic and see what I can do" and in no time he was able to pull up another code that got me a HUGE discount at the Poly. I asked him if my account was marked for a special discount and he said it wasnt. I guess a little politeness and a bit of Disney magic goes a long way:)
 
If it is a glitch or whatever, do not get your hopes up that much that Disney will honor it! Last year they had the computer glitch. Once it was realized, they contacted everyone that booked with it. It was a Fl Resident glitch. If you weren't a FL resident, they canceled you. If you were a resident, they gave you only one night at that rate & it was up to you if you wanted to stay at the regular Fl resident rate for the remainder of your stay or cancel.
 
I would think if it was a glitch that they would have figured it out by now


I'll go along with whoever said that this is a brilliant marketing scheme :rotfl:
