Amex offer-$30 off $100 at Target or Walmart--can use 5x

I do not have this card and wish I did - there are so many great offers!
I just looked at my Blue Cash Preferred card. I've saved $500 over the last 19 months using their offers. I will be at $620 once I max out this offer. I was hesitant to have a card with an annual fee, but this one has definitely been worth it.

The Optima has no annual fee. This is the first time I saw an offer on it I actually wanted to use. I will be watching it from now on!

Bottom line: You can do all 5 transactions at Target in one day to get $150 in credits from the Amex offer at Target.

I did all 5 transactions at Target in one trip. All 5 $30 credits posted to my card 2 days after my Target run!

Note that my Amex card declined on the 5th transaction -- I just stood at the register and called the number on my card and quickly used the auto-response system to tell them that nobody had stolen my card! The cashier was able to put my 5th transaction through immediately after I called. My best guess is that the fraud protection triggered because I made 5 back to back transactions.

I just added the deal to my card. Can't wait to try it out.

Nice to know the credit is posted so quickly. The confirmation said after the account will be credited after the end of the offer period. I thought it is something new, because it was always on the next statement. Nice to know it is still the case in despite of the email.

Would you say this 30% discount is the best way to buy park tickets?
If you have a red card, it's really 36% or so if you buy from Target.com using a red card as default payment (net cost of $100 gift card is $69 w/ $30 offer + 1% cash back and 5% off from Target.com).

I'm saving for a cruise next year but actually not using this offer toward my balance. I buy groceries at Walmart so I'd rather save $150 on groceries over a few months and settle for 20% off or so on Disney gift cards to pay for my cruise.

I do have a target red card, but how do I use that and Amex? I either pay with one or the other, right?

Has anyone seen this offer continue to roll out more broadly to cardholders? I've read that this offer was extremely targeted (forgive the pun), and I didn't get it on my card!

Use the Amex with the offer to buy a $100 Target gift card at a Target store. Go to Target.com and add a $100 Disney gift card to your cart. Put in your red card as payment and right before you confirm the order, switch payment to the gift card you purchased. That will reduce the price to $95.

I had heard speculation that it would be rolled out to more cards, but I did not hear confirmation that that happened.

If you buy Disney Gift Cards, and then use them to buy your park ticket, you can save a minimum of $150 on whatever you purchase.

But keep in mind you must have the offer on one of your Amex cards, and must add it to the card.

Apparently, I spend too much money at Target. I have two Amex cards and the offer showed up on both.

So, my plan is to buy the gift cards and use then to purchase the park tickets.

I called AMEX and was told it will be rolled out to more people in the next couple of weeks -- hopefully they're right -- and hopefully I get on that roll-out.
