Amerisuites-how far to the parks?

I am trying to afford a trip in January and I need a hotel that sleeps 5. My best friend and her son are going with us and I am going to pay for the hotel so I need someplace affordable and roomie enough for four days. I have heard good things about the Amerisuites but my only concern is getting to the parks each day. We will have a car. How far is it to each of the parks? Is it a pain to drive each day? I usually stay onsite so this will be a different experience and I don't want to be stressed about getting to the parks each day.

Hey, I am going to DW in January, and I was wondering if you have already booked your room at the amerisuites? If so what rate did you get?

I haven't booked a room yet but when I checked their web site it was running $94 a night. I haven't checked to see if the entertainment rate is available, which people have reported as around $50/night.

I booked at Amerisuites across from Universal. The rates were cheaper than the one near WDW. If money is an issue than a few more minutes in your car are worth it. Also found out that the rates are cheaper on their website vs. calling them directly. I book for August 2003 for $59 a night.

I just booked Amerisuites at the airport for one night. We are arriving at midnight and I wanted a responsible rate. I got a 69. rate online vs. a 109 rate when I calle dthe hotel directly.

Anyone every stay at that one?

We just stayed there last month- the one in Lake Buena Vista - and had a great time, Our rate was $58.50 per night - got the ressies back in April - and wanted to let you know it is ony a 10-15 minute ride from the door to the park entrance - very easy to get there. Enjoy your stay there - we will definitely go back.
