America's Got Talent....Season 7

Yes I am watching :)

Listening to Stern this morning he was really shaken by that experience...he was saying that in that moment he was reminded what it felt like to hold and comfort a child...
This is the first season watching this show, I tuned in because of Howard and am finding it very entertaining. :goodvibes

The dogs last night were amazing, and that band with the musicians and rapper was awesome.

I wonder if Beth is readying her uterus. ;)

The rap-rock band was cool. Not crazy about animal acts, but the dogs were so cute. I laughed like a 12-year old with the guy getting kicked in the nether-regions especially when it was Nick doing the kicking.

LOL Stern said he quickly got over it hahaha

The nether-regions act was AMAZING!!! I was laughing so hard, mindless entertainment at it's finest!! I couldn't believe it when the guy said he had once received something like 63 kicks in a row. :scared1:

Is anyone watching this season? LOL

That little boy broke my heart when he started crying. Howard Stern is really shocking me by how sweet he is. I didn't think I would care for the show at all but he's really shocking me,

I am glad they didn't give in, it would be so much crueler to let him through. imagine the next round, the kid isn't any better, & he cries harder.....
they really have to keep in mind what IS a million $$ act, so many great acts get axed because someones emotional heart strings are tugged.

at least last night Sharon thought was best for the kid, other years she has not.

& you then start a >mom tells kid "just cry real cute"<

for those who listened to howard on the radio today, did he at all realize it would have just been BAD for him to contiue? no matter how bad Howard felt at the moment?

I only caught a bit of him talking about it on the replay while I was out running errands at lunch. The best part was Robin talking about at the live show the act before was a teen girl that Howard X'd and how she thought it would be great to then see him X a kid and then the Mir Money thing happened and she said she didn't like it so much. :happytv:

You know it's bad when even George Takei said the kid wasn't any good. From what I gathered Howard knew it best not to send him through, he just felt terrible at the time. He said he (Howard) also banged his head into the stage but that part was cut out. And he blames Howie for pointing out to the kid that Howard was mean by Xing him. ;)

I think buzzing him was overkill, They could have just let him finished like Howie did and said no thanks.

I'm watching the AGT rerun while DWTS is on rerun. I'm still not loving Howard, but he seems to be genuinely trying. I thought it was sweet when he hugged the little rapper boy. It seems like he is learning when to buzz people and when to just let them finish and then reject them.

Is anyone else still watching? I am liking Howard more and more on the show. It really surprises me since I cannot stand his radio persona.

New show next week! Which are your favorite acts so far?

I'm watching. Everyone I liked made it through except for Andrew the opera kid (with the white eyes). Howard really is fantastic. I wonder if Idol is kicking themselves, wishing they had someone like him. Truly, Howard blows Piers out of the water. There are a few acts that made it through that leave me scratching my head (All Beef Patty, Big Barry, the singer who looks like Al Sharpton and does the tv theme songs).

Yeah, some of the acts did not make sense. Did they even show Andrew's Las Vegas audition? I don't remember seeing it, but his previous one was awesome. I think they got rid of the older opera guy as well(he was from another country and had two daughters).

They showed all of the opera singers and they ALL botched their auditions. Andrew's was particularly painful to watch.

I'm watching on and off. Did they actually let that little old guy in the white suit through?!? He was terrible. I was wondering if maybe it was a trade off for Turf.

I wonder if it was hard to perform without an audience.

Quite the opposite. It was hard for him to perform in front of ANYONE. He apparently still hadn't practiced performing in front of people after his first audition. OFten, people with performance anxiety have an even harder time performing for a small number of people instead of a HUGE stadium. Remember, up until that very first audition he had never sang for ANYONE, even his own parents.

I was saying that in general. We are still DVRless (*sigh* my fault, I have not gotten off my butt to decide on a TV service) so I missed your Andrew entirely. We were one of the first adopters of the DVR technology so it's odd that we have been without one for so long!

I felt so bad for Andrew. I hope he realizes what a wonderful talent he has. Every time I saw his audtion, I cried! He is just so touched by the reaction of the crowd and judges. And to say "I am not good at anything" just made me feel so bad for him.

I hope not making it through won't take him back to that place of thinking he isn't good at anything.

As for Howard, I was all prepared to HATE him. But, actually, I like him a lot. He isn't overly critical but for many of the acts he is realistic about their chances.
