America's Got Talent Finale

The Finale is still on here. The Goo Goo Dolls are playing. One of my absolute favorite bands. My homeboys from Buffalo.

I knew it, my ten votes put him over the top!! :rotfl: Go Michael!

Someone is a very.....sore......loser........:rotfl:

He looked so shocked when they announced his name. He may be the world's biggest butthole, but he comes across as a humble country boy. Made me like him even more!:lovestruc

I'm listening right now on youtube a duet.... Michael Grimm & McKenna Medley "You Don't Know Me"

Love how he sings this. :music:

Hope we didn't spoil it for you. I wasn't going to post anything, until I saw it had already been posted when I got here.

Prince Poppycock looked so hurt. I hope he is a great success in Vegas!

It certainly isn't the first time America has gotten it very wrong and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Taylor Hicks
Lee Dewyze
Rueben Studdard
That Skinner dude
and so forth.

Naturaly it's hard for me to devote such time and energy and interest into a contestant and then to see them lose. It feels like I lost! And the only thing I hate more than losing is being wrong, and it seems tonight I was both. So yeah, I'm not happy.

But, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, congrats to Michael Grimm and his many apparent fans who voted for him.

It's cool, been following the AGT forums over at NBC.com. So I was already spoiled between that and Wikipedia.

I do like these celebrity duets. I though Michael and Jewel were phenomenal.

But Michael and Jewel were wonderful together!
Really? Were we watching the same duet? I thought Jewel sucked rocks. She was super-slow and super-twangy. Poor Michael (who I *don't* like) had to slow down to a crawl to sing WITH her. I don't know why he started out so fast if he knew she would be so slow in her solo and in the duet. It made the whole thing sound disjointed like it was 3 different songs instead of one song sang by two people.

Michael: *bleh* I found him to be extremely boring. *yawn* Yes, I do believe that I will have some milque with my toast. Way to go America for voting for the least threatening act! ChicagoFitnessClub: Luckily for me there are no 50-story buildings in Madison :rotfl:.

Jackie: I do have to give her props. She took the loss like a lady. No tears and even congratulated Grimm in a genuine way. I do agree with you Lintasare that Sarah Brightman blew little Jackie out of the water. Then again, she could be little Jackie's grandmother and you don't teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

Fighting Gravity: I didn't like their duet. First of all I thought that Lionel Ritchie was horrible. Secondly, FG wasn't even on the stage for most of the time. C'mon guys! Show us something more than an empty stage!

Prince Poppycock: Completely robbed coming in 4th. Thanks a lot Piers, you big poopyhead. LOVED his duet with Donna Summers. I did not appreciate his final snipe at Piers about being a horse's butt, though (even though Pier's clearly is!). He should have been a more graceful loser. More Prince and less Poppycock, KWIM?

My DD saw that the show is coming to Chicago and Milwaukee. Before I saw the results I was thinking about maybe going to see it. Now I don't know. I would love to see my Prince but I would have to also see Grimm showcased. Decisions, decisions.

And we all still have very different opinions! I enjoyed Fighting Gravity for the 1st time tonight-loved Lionel Ritchie. Didn't enjoy PP and Donna Summer at all. I told ds13 that it needed to end soon! Since I don't like opera, I tuned out that duet, so can't really comment.

Go to the concessions stand when the Grim Reaper is trying to sing.

You are really having a hard time letting this one go.:rotfl:

I'm talking to people who share the same reality that I do. One where the Grim Reaper is an average at best, singer. Since you don't agree I'm not sure what your gaining by continuing to reply to my posts. And that goes for anyone who loves the Grim Reaper.

You mean the record number of voters who picked Michael Grimm..........what are you gaining by continuing that same tired joke? I think I'm going to use the ignore button for the first time tonight!:)

Please do. One less Grim Reaper lover I have to endure tonight. And by the way, everyone in my household right now is in on the toilet puking their guts out that the Grim Reaper won.
