America's Got Talent Finale

Please do. One less Grim Reaper lover I have to endure tonight. And by the way, everyone in my household right now is in on the toilet puking their guts out that the Grim Reaper won.

What a sore loser:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I have a funny feeling that you would have been just as big of a sore winner too.

You really seem to hate Michael with a passion, you do know that there is a fine line between love and hate -;) Come on you can admit it, you know deep down that you really love Michael and his sweet soulful sexy voice will be in your dreams tonight:cloud9:

What I know is that somehow, someway, he and Skinner know each other. They have similar looks, similar personalities, and similar terrible music.

Hmmm...trying to find the ignore button so I don't have to listen to the troll whine.

I haven't found it yet either! Oh well, headed to bed. I hope she and her parents feel better tomorrow.

To ignore someone just go to your User CP and then choose Edit Ignore List. You can add the user name that you want to ignore and it's like magic, you no longer have to read that person's posts:thumbsup2 I've only used it once before but I may need to use it again soon.

Really? Were we watching the same duet? I thought Jewel sucked rocks. She was super-slow and super-twangy. Poor Michael (who I *don't* like) had to slow down to a crawl to sing WITH her. I don't know why he started out so fast if he knew she would be so slow in her solo and in the duet. It made the whole thing sound disjointed like it was 3 different songs instead of one song sang by two people.

Michael: *bleh* I found him to be extremely boring. *yawn* Yes, I do believe that I will have some milque with my toast. Way to go America for voting for the least threatening act! ChicagoFitnessClub: Luckily for me there are no 50-story buildings in Madison :rotfl:.

Jackie: I do have to give her props. She took the loss like a lady. No tears and even congratulated Grimm in a genuine way. I do agree with you Lintasare that Sarah Brightman blew little Jackie out of the water. Then again, she could be little Jackie's grandmother and you don't teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

Fighting Gravity: I didn't like their duet. First of all I thought that Lionel Ritchie was horrible. Secondly, FG wasn't even on the stage for most of the time. C'mon guys! Show us something more than an empty stage!

Prince Poppycock: Completely robbed coming in 4th. Thanks a lot Piers, you big poopyhead. LOVED his duet with Donna Summers. I did not appreciate his final snipe at Piers about being a horse's butt, though (even though Pier's clearly is!). He should have been a more graceful loser. More Prince and less Poppycock, KWIM?

My DD saw that the show is coming to Chicago and Milwaukee. Before I saw the results I was thinking about maybe going to see it. Now I don't know. I would love to see my Prince but I would have to also see Grimm showcased. Decisions, decisions.

i agree with everything Robin. Poppycock's 4th place was "poppycock"!!!:rotfl2: (I crack myself up!) I was thinking the same thing during Fighting Gravity--they are too good to do nothing in their final performance! I predict that both acts will really go places. Hopefully, FG guys will get to finish college first now. Jackie will have NO problem making it big...this gave her a huge following if she didn't have one already. Grimm...well, he's good and I would buy a CD, but I wouldn't pay for a show like I would the others, so we'll see what happens. Congrats to him though, he seems like a genuinely great guy and deserving of a late-in-life career jumpstart.

I will say this...MG looked SHOCKED that he won. So shocked that he actually started apologizing to Jackie and asking her "Are you okay?? Are you okay??"

Even he knew he shouldn't have won.

If the travelling show comes to NC, perhaps I'll go see it, but like CFC suggested, I will take a potty break or hit the concession stand when Michael Grimm sings. I've seen Joe Cocker live (who does it way better IMO). I've honestly fast forwarded through just about all of Grimm's performance because he is just unappealing to me.

**OOh! The commercial just came one. The show will be in Greensboro by me in November. Nice!

I thought it was very sweet of Michael to be sure Jackie was ok. A nice young man who put the feelings of a little girl ahead of his own well-deserved joy. His family did a wonderful job of teaching him concern for others.

All of the finalists were great. I was pulling for Michael and would have been a little disappointed if he had lost but hope I would have also been happy for whoever won.

Lets just all hope ALL of them will find happiness and success doing what they love to do.

Nah. I need at least one more day to sulk. :snooty:

Someone is a very.....sore......loser........:rotfl:

He looked so shocked when they announced his name. He may be the world's biggest butthole, but he comes across as a humble country boy. Made me like him even more!:lovestruc

I couldn't hear what he was saying to Jackie when he realized he won, but it LOOKED like he was asking her if she was OK with it. I thought that was absolutely beautiful that he would try to comfort her before taking his spot in the limelight!

America got this right a million times over:love:

Never watched the show but saw LOTS of promos for the little girl, not one for the winner ..?:confused3

I did a search and listened to him on YouTube, wow. He's got more soul in his little finger than I have in my whole body. Love him! :thumbsup2

Like the little girl but who is going to Vegas to listen to opera???? She'll do fine on her own. :thumbsup2

I don't get why people are taking this so personal. I watched the show but never voted, the outcome will not effect my life. Out of the final four the only one I would pay to go see in Vegas is Fighting Gravity because it is different and DD5 really enjoyed them. Now last night DD5 did say she wanted Prince Poppycock's outfit(she is obsessed with pink) and when I told her I don't think I can find one like it she said to go to Walmart. PP is a little too creepy for me. I am not fond of men who wear heels that are higher than mine.

if I were a moth I would've been killed by a bug zapper a long time ago.

What a great tag line this would make. :lmao:

Was sure Jackie would win, but what would her family do while trying to accommodate a 10 year old in Vegas?

Michael was the one I was sure would be 4th - shocked to see him win. He's not bad, but I just never really saw any "oomph" from him at all. Wouldn't pay to see a show of his, unless he developed a better stage presence.

I'd be happy to see any of the other 3 perform, though I would probably sit sobbing through Jackie's show. Yes, I'm a sap.

Like the little girl but who is going to Vegas to listen to opera????

Who would go see Michael Grimm sing in Vegas? Probably about 5 people and they all happen to be on this board right now. Grimm doesn't belong inside a casino, he should be standing in front of one holding his hat out for change.

Perfect! :thumbsup2 I recommend everyone do that so AGT can finally get the hint we don't want straight up singers to win.

I just finished watching the finale on the DVR. I watched off and on during the season so I didn't really develop a favorite, although if I had to choose it would probably be Fighting Gravity. All I know is when DH and I go to Vegas next spring we're definitely going to see "Love" and I may have to squeeze in a David Copperfield show too if he's there (I LOVE David and have missed seeing him perform).
