America's Got Talent Finale

I don't know how many votes he will get across the country but at my house we each used our ten votes for Michael Grimm.

I thought one of the men in black "fell" out of the door. I could also see arms holding stuff and grabbing the guys, but you know? I don't care. I loved it! They are the most unique and talented of the group by far and have the most potential to make some Vegas hotel a fortune. Followed closely by Poppycock who I would love to see do a burlesque show. Heck, stick him with the P-cat dolls or open for Gaga!

Of course, I have a short attention span and am always impressed by shiny objects and bright colors! if I were a moth I would've been killed by a bug zapper a long time ago.

FWIW, all 10 of my votes went to the VT boys of Fighting Gravity. 10 more from my cell phone. I DO like that they limit the votes from each phone line to 10 unlike Idols unlimited.

Oh Poppy what did you do? I thought the song was fine, but something was off tonight for him.

I personally think Michael brought his A game. A great song for him.

Yup Poppeycock was still pretty good in my opinion. Grimm isn't worthy of holding Poppeycock's jockstrap.

This is fun but that made me laugh!

I may not know who will win but I'm SURE Michael doesn't want to hold PP's jockstrap.

I don't understand why some people argue their opinion as fact.......

I didn't see the huge mistake for Fighting Gravity, but I wasn't paying much attention. Just never been impressed with them.

I would pay to see Prince Poppycock, but as I stated earlier I didn't really enjoy his performance tonight. But my votes, as usual, went to Michael. I only started watching the show this season for him. Someone posted a clip of him on facebook, and I was hooked!

My dear PP! As much as Piers is a big poopyhead, he had a point. I would have preferred to see something more upbeat from PP. I thought last week that the Homage to America would make a terrific ending number in a real show. But, tonight just showed PP's range. He can do both comedy and tragedy and he really does need *both* if he is to carry his own show. Still, Nessum Dorma was beautiful and he nailed it. And I loved the rips in his armor from the dragon.

Michael Grimm is on now and while again he is a terrific singer, he is BORING ME TO DEATH. I could hear this performance in any blues bar in any city in the country.
I didn't get all the Grimm adoration. Like you, he bored me to tears and I really didn't think he did a particularly good job with the song. Of course, I can't stand that song (or his previous "You Can Leave Your Hat On" ). At least he went with something he had not previously recorded on his album: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003W5GV2Q/ref=dm_sp_alb

Jackie, Jackie, Jackie. I don't know. It was total BS about her being a carefree little girl until AGT plucked her out of her elementary school suburban life. Here is the album she recorded LAST YEAR: http://www.amazon.com/Prelude-To-A-Dream/dp/B003BT3X3S/ref=mb_oe_o and Ave Maria is on it. Oh, it was beautiful all right. And perhaps her best performance to date even if her voice was not strong enough to stand up to the back-up singers. Still ... something does not sit well with me about her.

Fighting Gravity ... well, they were fantastic! Yes, there was that little bobble at the end where we could see one of the people dressed in black but I loved the story and the performance. I really do think they are the only act that is coming up with everything from scratch every week and I give kudos to them for that :thumbsup2.

So ... where will my votes go? I think I will split them between PP and FG.

PS: In the interest of fairness PP had sung Nessum Dorma before *and* he too has an album (http://www.amazon.com/Worldview/dp/B0030L0O34/ref=dm_ap_alb1) but the album is full of completely different music than he sang on AGT.

Really? I got through really easily. I was thinking that NBC puts a whole lot more money into their voting lines than ABC does for DWTS.

I think the lines are bogged with the Eastern and Central time zones still. I am in Mountain, voting just opened 10 min ago here.

Since Jackie lives in our area, I have a soft spot for her, but decided I could still vote for Poppycock even if tonight wasn't my favorite of his performances. I do think Jackie had (up to this point) a fairly normal suburban life. It's not hard to make recordings these days - my DD who can't sing that well gets some studio time with her voice lessons.

:lmao::lmao: You are too funny - It is obvious that you have a huge dislike for Michael Grimm - That's ok not everyone likes the same music, you may not like him but plenty of others do.:cloud9:

I love both Michael and Prince Poppycock however Poppycock did not bring his best performance tonight.

Finally go through and was able to vote. Got scared for a moment I wouldn't be able to cast my phone votes. Already voted on the website. All for Michael Grimm. God I love that man.

And I adore his song choices. When the music started tonight, I told dh to get out of my way. Sexy, sexy man. I grew up listening to Percy Sledge, but Michael did it better!
