It's traditionally a late lunch meal between 2pm and 4pm. This is because the parade starts at 8am to 12pm. The dog show and football follow that. Americans get ready for Black Friday crazyness around 8pm. We eat a light breakfast Thanksgiving Day and a light late night snack or dessert before bed (unless you are a crazy shopper).

NYC/Hudson Valley is a great place to celebrate on the day. As is WDW/DL.

We were very impressed with the Canadian National Parks that we’ve visited. Especially Jasper. The only that took us by surprise was the additional charge for a fire permit for each night in the campground. But the firewood was free!

The fire was new this year and I think it was a terrible idea. In the past you paid for the firewood but now you need the permit for everyday, fire or no fire. And the firewood quality was better in past years.

That normally only impacts College sports not entertainment programming. And trust me, NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX often select the wrong college game for various regions. And working on the West Coast, if for example the evening news isn't airing on the East Coast, they won't produce an evening newscast for the west coast.
And it varies from year to year, but often programing like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade are aired live in all regions.
