No but we did start to change the language particularly around the 1780’s. We did invent the first underwater battle submarine though, known as the turtle. It semi-worked, yet the British repeatedly refuse to clearly identify it as an American invention, or so I’m told.

Get mistaken for being American??? Never. Heard someone from Minnesota get mistaken for Canadian? At least once.

When I travelled throughout Europe in the 90's all of the Canadians had the CA flag on their backpacks so no one would confuse them of being from the USA. It was cute.

I went to college in the north east and classmates called it both. They came from different parts of the USA though so…

There is no s in hotpot. It’s a nickname used for an electric kettle. Wikipedia also explains this.

I’m probably going to skip halftime this year. Nothing against the performers, I’m just not a fan of their music. Looking forward to a bengals win though.

I’m not a huge rap fan but I like at least one song from each performer. I’d watch if we got the commercials, but we don’t, so no point.

YouTube usually releases them early. Just search for some tomorrow before the game.

For me, a holiday is taking time off. A vacation is when I actually go somewhere during my holiday.

But when I really think about it, I don’t use either words very often. I might say something like, “I’m going to Disney on the March break.”

Husband and son will watch the game have no idea who they want to win. Usually check out the commercials the next day if they say there are good ones.

We usually say we are going away never vacation or holidays. How I would love to say that again soon…lol
