Americans and Canadians culture Q&A Thread.

Next question - what percentage of the US population lives in the dark blue states.

Bonus points for Americans - what is the Southernmost point in Canada?

Bonus points for all - have you been there (that's a yes for me).
Go ahead and give me bonus points on my bonus points. I’ve been there and to the southernmost point on the continental US.

Oh, I've to the Southernmost point in the US too (well, continental US). And the UK (mainland).
Oh yeah? Well, I've been to the Continental Divide and Dog River, (Rouleau) Saskatchewan!

I have to admit that I had to Google Dog River (and why it was impressive that you had been there).

I've over the Continental Divide between Alberta and BC (not sure where the best parts of it are).

ETA - and I've stood on the equator in multiple places :)

ETA2 - but I've never been to Manitoba or Saskatchewan or any of the maritime provinces. And I've probably hit 20 or fewer US states (not counting drive bys).

My friend, if you had to Google that, you've been abroad way too long! Come home soon; we're waiting! :grouphug:

I apologize in advance. @Frozen Canuck, I promise I am not a stalker :rotfl2:

Yes, that is why I put "political" in quotes. I did watch it, but as I'm sure you know, discussions like that can become very heated on both sides, no different than "Which style of American barbecue is best?" or "Is bacon a food group?"

Obviously!

It's actually 27 states that are partially north of Canada's most southern point.

I never would have guessed that number.

Was there not a lot going on? Oscar was my Grandpa personified lol

Well, it is totally obvious that bacon is a food group, but we aren't all Canadians on this thread!

I love the show, because it is practically my life! There was nothing better than hopping in the truck with my dad and heading over to the service station for afternoon coffee...spinning on the red stools at the counter and sipping Fanta, while my dad chatted and laughed with his farm buddies. I can still smell that place when I think about it.

What do you expect from some weirdos that wear watermelons on their heads?
::yes:: Yep, you got that right. If you have to be a weirdo, it might at least be in the right kind of hat. :teeth:

You had to know the actors weren't really from Saskatchewan, there were no shows during the winter. I guess they weren't brave enough to film in the Prairies over the winter months. Even the one Christmas episode I can remember didn't show anyone outside.
